Fantastic experience: Have just returned from walking Sarria to Santiago. The route itself was not strenuous. Had the most amazing time, chatting to fellow walkers, soaking up the atmosphere. What made it for us (group of 5 ladies) was how well organised the whole trip was. Luggage arrived at every destination, the hostels were spotless with plenty of hot water and the food was good. Definitely go to Finisterre if you have a spare day at the end.

Fantastic experience: We enjoyed a fabulous trip, walking the French Way from Sarria to Santiago. Everything worked incredibly smoothly, the hotels were well chosen, close to the Camino, clean and comfortable. The information pack provided everything we needed including a brilliant GPS tracking link from hotel to hotel. Fantastic experience: Walk the Camino organized a perfect Camino experience for our group. I was very happy with the itinerary they came up with, which was tailored to our requests. The accommodations were wonderful. Our driver was great. And our guide Paula was amazing! She was very knowledgeable and informative, she was helpful, she gave us space to have our own experience, and she was an absolute pleasure to share the time with.

Fantastic experience: We did two sections of the Camino, Leon to Ponferrada and then Saria to Santiago, private transport conveying us between the two sections. All the accommodation fit our criteria of how far we wanted to walk per day, and it was a nice mix of rural and urban locations. The map overlay Walk the Camino provided allowed easy location of our accommodation. The whole walk went like clockwork, no drama's with transporting our baggage between our accommodation, or our hotel bookings. Walk the Camino provided a very professional service. Thanks to Caroline and the team for organising a great walk for us.

Fantastic experience: Walk the Camino provided a memorable experience for me - I left with a deeper understanding of the rich history and culture surrounding the area and the various caminos leading to Santiago de Compostela. Our guide was excellent and allowed our group to experience the camino walk at our own pace. Most of the hotels were good - some better than others. I would have liked more details surrounding the planned camino walk from Walk the Camino - links that were supposed to be provided to help us track our walk, were never provided. These would have been helpful tools to have in place. And sometimes, communications with Walk the Camino were not optimal, but in the end, we were able to have our questions addressed.

Fantastic experience: We recently completed the Camino de Santiago with Walk the Camino, and I want to especially recognize Caroline and her team for their outstanding organization and support. Every detail was handled seamlessly — luggage transfers were reliable, the itinerary was well planned, and our accommodations were consistently comfortable and welcoming. The 1930 Boutique Hotel was our favorite stay, especially with the bungalow upgrade. The service there was exceptional and made the experience truly memorable. Caroline was responsive, professional, and made the entire planning process effortless. Overall, Walk the Camino delivered an excellent experience from start to finish. Fantastic experience: Our Camino from Leon to Ponferrada went very smoothly thanks to the excellent organisation of Caroline and her team. The overnight stops were all excellent, and our luggage was delivered reliably and was always there before us even though we usually started out in the dark. We were very happy that we had a "proper book" to guide us and not just an app to use on our phone. (We photocopied the pages we needed so as not to have to carry the book, though!) We are already planning our next Camino!

Fantastic experience: Fabulous accommodation in every stop great breakfasts we took the coastal route whenever we could and weather was exceptional sunny 10 days luggage arrived as expected at each stop “⭐️”

Fantastic experience: Caroline did an amazing job of organizing an ideal Camino itinerary for our 13 person group of friends and family. The experience could not have been better! Paula, our guide, was above & beyond, she is family now. Her knowledge of the trail, the history of the region and its people, and the Camino itself enhanced the already enjoyable experience. The food, luggage service and daily walking plans worked out very well. Oscar, one of our drivers, was friendly and available when anyone needed extra help. We took 6 days to walk from Sarria to San Sebastián, spent an extra day there, drove out to Finisterra and walked an additional 2 days to Muxia…all of which I would highly recommend. Our longest day was 14 miles, our shortest 8. Each day was different, and I enjoyed and appreciated all the experiences along the way. Thank you to Paula for making a beautiful trip even better. Fantastic experience: Walking the Camino from Sarria, Spain to Santiago was a very special trip for me. I was hesitant at first about the idea of having a guide, but Paula Toimil made the experience even richer and deeper than it would have been otherwise. She is knowledgeable, always thinking ahead while also staying attuned to anything I might have needed in the moment. She was able to explain in detail any aspect of the journey - from the history of the various churches, to the significance of various monuments, to the names and healing properties of the various plants and trees along the way. She is warm and friendly, but also sensitive to when my companions and I were experiencing the journey amongst ourselves. I can’t say enough good things about this experience. It was hard, it was meaningful and it was made all the better by being accompanied by Paula as our guide.

Fantastic experience: The Camino Primitivo that we took by foot has been an amazing and fulfilling experience. Despite the physical challenges, we still managed to finish the journey as scheduled. Fantastic experience: The Portuguese Camino - done in September 2025 This is our second time using WTC, and we walked from Portugal to Spain using the Portuguese route. All in, we took 12 days for our walk. We thoroughly enjoyed the different stays in the very different hotels & casas that Caroline arranged for us. They were very comfortable and certainly met our expectations. Fantastic experience: A short but amazing walk with constantly changing landscapes. While we were blessed with exceptional weather, we would have enjoyed it had it rained! The selected hotels were great and we were really impressed with the cuisine, from great breakfasts to memorable dinners using local produce. Fantastic experience: An incredible walking trip from Finisterre to Santiago de compostela via Muxía. The organisation was superb, the accommodation brilliantly chosen, transfers of luggage smooth and just goes on in the background without you having to worry about anything. Doing the Camino this way takes a bit more brain power as you have to follow the signs in reverse but the plotted google maps they provided lightened this load! This was my third Camino and by a long way the best organised and most fun!

Fantastic experience: We did the West Highland Way from Tyndrum to Fort William, all organised for us to perfection by Tracy, Caroline and the team at Walk The Camino. Fantastic experience: Just completed our second Camino - this one was a reverse route from Finisterre to Santiago. Thanks to Walk the Camino everything was seamless in terms of communication beforehand and accommodation booked along the way from a farmhouse that our group had to themselves to staying in the monastery that was right next to the Cathedral on the last night. Wouldn't hesitate to use them again and thank you Caroline!

Fantastic experience: We did a section of the Camino del Norte in August, from Santander to Ribadesella. Decided to use Walk the Camino to organise our trip, they were very efficient and had our luggage transported every day to the next hotel we were staying in. I told Caroline the distances we wanted to walk and she booked our days to suit. It was great having the locations on the google map to make it easy to follow the route. Caroline was always on hand if there were any mix ups or issues with Whatsapp. We would definitely use this company again for future trips on the Camino.

Positive experience: Walking the Portuguese Camino ( Spiritual Variant) with a wonderful group of women was a fantastic experience all round. Some tough days, varied scenery & walking conditions. Camino signage & markers were excellent. Accommodation along the way was very good. It would have been helpful to have had a tailored set of notes for the route we were on rather than the provided book which was almost useless (and heavy). The google map was helpful for those able to use it.

Fantastic experience: We walked the English Camino and had a wonderful experience. Everything was very well organized and worked perfect. The luggage was moved every day as arranged. The accomodations were of varying qualitity .The Hotel Montebreamo in Pontedeume was outstanding providing a very warm service that hotels usually do not provide.

Fantastic experience: I have just returned from walking San Sebastián to Bilbao on the Camino del Norte This is the 4th time I’ve used walk the Camino and I recommend them 100%. The support and communication is outstanding and when you’re a solo walker is a big reassurance This is a beautiful albeit tough walk! It is by far the toughest of the Camino walks I’ve done but exhilarating and the basque people are so lovely and welcoming It isn’t as well waymarked as the Frances and in remote areas there were several tough scrambles and fallen trees. I’d recommend also using Camino ninja to check you’re on track. I’d also recommend an extra day in both San Sebastián and Bilbao Ultimately I’ve had a great time - thank you

Fantastic experience: The Camino Aragonés was my fourth Camino, and third with Walk the Camino. Expertly organised the customised itinerary was ideal and included several taxi transfers which worked smoothly and reliably. The taxi driver’s knowledge and appreciation of the area added to my experience. Accommodation, limited on this route, was good and varied in style from small albergues in Pyrenean hilltop villages to comfortable hotels in the bigger towns, all close to the Camino route. Communication with Walk the Camino was excellent before and during the Camino, a couple of minor issues were sorted quickly and efficiently. This was a different Camino experience, quiet, contemplative, unrivalled scenery and the terrain a little more challenging than the Francés and the del Norte. Walk the Camino suggested two alternative routes, one to the monasteries of San Juan de la Peña and to the Foz de Lumbier, these were two highlights in an incredible trip. Thanks to everyone at Walk the Camino.

Fantastic experience: ‘Walk the Camino’ Cannot Be More Highly Recommended. We decided to walk the full Camino France as a seventieth birthday present to each other. We are quite fit but the prospect of an, eight-hundred kilometer walk, was daunting. We did not want to walk ‘normal Camino distances’(25-35km a day), felt bunk room albergues were not for us and we wanted most of our equipment transported each day. Many companies offer this type of service and promote their products well, but we liked ‘Walks’ online materials and they responded almost immediatly to tentative inquiries. We requested a possible itinerary, walking a maximum of 20 km a day, and this was provided promptly. On this basis we committed and were so glad we did. Caroline and Tracy know the Camino intimately and were able to choose accommodation we would not have found, varying from intimate family homes to Paradors, Spain’s best hotels. Each day’s distance showed an understanding of the terrain and walking conditions which made even the biggest ascents and descents manageable and rest days were perfectly timed. Communication was exceptional with any queries answered almost immediately through ‘Whats Ap’: a visit to a dentist over a broken tooth was organized expeditiously and over 60 days our luggage was always at our destination on arrival. In short, ‘Walk’ facilitated an amazing experience. We also met other pilgrims who had used ‘Walk’ and they were similarly impressed by the professionalism and personal care taken by Caroline and Tracy.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I did 7 days (115km) of the Camino Portugal from Vigo to Santiago de Compostela. Walk the Camino customised our walk, booked accommodation, arranged the transfer of our luggage each day and was available 24/7 for support during our 7 days. They also provided us with a Camino pack which was sent to us a month before departure. The pack included a customised Google map of our walk. Unfortunately, the Google map did not work for us, but we managed without it because the tracks are so well marked and we made our own back-up google maps each day which we used occationally to check we were on track. Our luggage was always dropped off before our check-in each day and the Walk the Camino team responded almost immediately when we needed help with one matter. The accommodation was comfortable at each stop and the breakfasts, that were included in our package, were always ready for us each morning. The walk was a wonderful way to see and experience a country. We walked in the city, in villages, amongst farms, and in forests and parks. The paths were gravel, paved, grassy, sometimes rocky and rooty (tree roots bulging above the ground). Because of the variety, we met different people, who did interact with us differently. Our route took us on back roads and paths and were mostly in the shade. We were lucky to not have any rain. Once we branched off on the spiritual route, we found the paths more natural when we walked though mountains, villages and forests. What a beautiful experience, thank you Walk the Camino Ltd.

Fantastic experience: My brother and I walked part of the Camino Del Norte from San Sebastian to Santander in June 2025. Caroline from Walk the Camino was brilliant, easy communication with all aspects of the holiday. Our luggage was transported each day, this service was faultless, bags would magically appear, (never laid eyes on the delivery man). Accommodation excellent. Fantastic experience: I have had an amazing experience with Walk the Camino. In particular, I would like to thank Caroline for assisting me to find the route and accomodation that best suited my needs. She was extremely accommodating and provided me with various options, from which I opted to walk the Portuguese Coastal Route to Santiago De Compostela. I explained that I am not an avid walker and have an illness, which meant that each day, I could only walk a limited distance, particularly in the heat. Caroline arranged shorter distances over a longer period of time. She also booked a bus to take me to my starting place and another to take me back to the airport on my return home. Then she booked bed and breakfast accomodation at each of my stops. The only thing I needed to book myself were the flights. I flew to Porto and got the pre-booked bus to Vigo. As I was a solo traveller, Caroline and Tracy set up a WhatsApp group for me so that I could contact them and they also provided an overlay of my Camino route on Google Maps. Due to this, although I was a solo traveller, I didn't feel isolated. Tracy and Caroline were extremely encouraging and approachable throughout. They reassured me and answered any questions or concerns that I had. They really made me feel that they were rooting for me and willing me on and celebrated all my achievements with me. They also provided tips of places to eat and things to see along the way. My route was: Day 1 Vigo to Redondela, Day 2 to Arcade, Day 3 to Pontevedra, Day 4 to Combarro, Day 5 to Armenteira, Day 6 to Barrantes, Day 7 to Vilanova De Arousa, Day 8 to Teo, Day 9 to Santiago. The coastal route I did enabled me to see stunning natural beauty. It took me through traditional Spanish towns and villages. I walked along the beach, through countryside and forests and had time to be alone and clear my head, be in touch with nature, eat delicious food and see amazing architecture. Caroline also gave me the option to take the spiritual route along the Camino. This really helped me to deepen my relationship with God. I felt this had a profound effect on me and made the journey even more special and meaningful. Along the way, I also met other pilgrims, which enabled me to make new friends. I would highly recommend that, first of all, you go on the Camino and secondly that you use Walk the Camino. The staff are extremely kind, friendly and obliging. The other fantastic thing about Walk the Camino is that they arrange for a courier service to collect your luggage every day and drop it off at your next hotel, which means that every day you only need to carry a back pack with the things you need to keep on your person such as a passport, water, your guidebook and any medication etc. Also, the hotels that Caroline booked for me were clean, comfortable, reasonably priced and provided more than adequate breakfasts. I am very grateful to Walk the Camino for making it possible for me to journey on the Camino in the way it suited me best. They really personalised the experience. I had such an amazing 11 days in Spain and would happily use them again to walk another Camino. Buen Camino

Fantastic experience: I would like to thank Caroline and the Walk the Camino team for all of their help while I was walking the Camino Frances from April 3-June 7. I am a solo walker with two knee replacements and some limitations about how far I can walk in a day. Caroline made an itinerary that matched my needs, booking me in a variety places that were beautiful and helped me see different sides of the Spanish culture. I had an accident (falling while entering a church) which required an ambulance ride, a hospital visit and my needing to recuperate for about a week before I could begin my walk again. Without Caroline and Tracy my pilgrimage could have easily ended then. Their support allowed me to mend in Burgos and begin again. I had a wonderful adventure and met many people. I arrived in Santiago with tears of joy. This pilgrimage changed my life and I will always be grateful for Walk the Camino and the part they played in helping me fine my Way.

Fantastic experience: Had an amazing experience on our first camino from Ourense to Santiago. It was a beautiful and exciting adventure. We were slightly worried about the distances before we left, but the walks were so enchanting it was easy to forget the weariness. While it was good to be a little outside my comfort zone, it was reassuring to know that Walk the Camino had everything we needed. The accommodation, while varied, was all excellent; our bags always there before us. The route provided was simple to follow and took in some unforgettable landscapes and picturesque villages. Special mention of the amazing Pazo de Bendoiro, where we felt like Game of Thrones royalty! And I say "first camino" because I'm sure we'll be back for more.

Fantastic experience: Excellent planning and service. This was my fourth Camino planned by Walked the Camino - this time the Via De La Plata (Salamanca to Santiago). A much more rural and rustic Camino with very limited services (bars, cafes, hotels, albergues), making accommodations along this route challenging. The WTC team ensured I had a place to rest my head and weary feet each night. When an issue did come up-they responded within seconds. I can't thank them enough for making my Caminos memorable. Already planning a fifth Camino with WTC!

Fantastic experience: Everything was very well organized. The accommodations were very good and various. There was just one spot where the owners were somewhat unfriendly. The luggage was moved every day as promised. The leader of our duo could no longer go so I became the leader and I found another friend for the journey. This did cause some confusion at a couple of hotels as they still had the person‘s name on the reservation who didn’t go. The Camino walk itself is well marked and well supported by those living in the area where I was which was the Camino Portuguese.

Fantastic experience: We took the trip on horseback from Tui to Santiago de Compostela and it was superb experience! Horses were well trained, not afraid of anything and we really enjoyed our ride. We slept in good hotels, eat delicious food and spent nice few days with great people around. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: Excellent organization, luggage transfer. Most hotels were excellent, except I would give hotel Scala a miss. The routes were very well marked, enjoyed meeting new people and the scenery was stunning. Would definitely book through this company again. Suggest you emphasize that hiking poles and boots cannot be tied onto luggage as one of the party's hiking poles were let behind.

Fantastic experience: Trip of a lifetime! Walk The Camino planned every detail perfectly for our 2 week journey on Camino Primitivo. So flexible and accommodating as our needs changed during the planning phase. They even jumped in to problem solve a travel crisis that had nothing to do with their services (air travel issue). Amazing people. Went above and beyond. Used a competitor company last year on Frances; not even in the same league as WTC when it came to knowledge, professionalism, services, concern, and communication. No doubt will be using them again when we return. Sincere thanks WTC!!!

Fantastic experience: Our third adventure with Walk The Camino - walking the Via Francigena from Lucca to Rome in May/June. This was a road less travelled than our previous Caminos: the walking was more challenging, especially as we were favoured with temperatures up to 30C; and there were far fewer pilgrims and much less pilgrim infrastructure. But also fantastic scenery (especially in Tuscany) and as always trouble-free organisation from Caroline and the team. We had extra days and guided tours in Florence, Pisa and Sienna and these were real highlights. Thanks again to the team and we are already planning for next year!

Positive experience: Walking the Variant Espirituel as a solo was a very different experience from previously when I walked the Portuguese Way with a group of friends - more physically challenging, more mentally demanding and much more rewarding.! Intermittent connections with other walkers allowed for "human contact", if needed, while maintaining the opportunity to be alone but never lonely! Most of the accommodation was of a high standard with staff always welcoming, ready to help and give advice on the local area including routes out of town each morning. Breakfasts were healthy and sustaining. I found the GPS routes very useful though sometimes a little longer than other routes used by most pilgrims. Having my luggage transported was the best idea ever and it was always ready on my arrival. I completed the Portuguese coastal with spiritual variante. A great experience.

With the exception of a communication glitch about a pick up point (and quick resolution of the problem), the trip was flawless. The hotels chosen were all clean and comfortable, with some being extraordinary places to stay. Luggage transfer was seamless. A big shout out to Sandy for figuring out why the navigation would not work on my phone before I left home!

Fantastic experience: We have just returned from completing our first Camino, walking from Sarria to Santiago de Compostela. We were very pleased with the organisation and arrangements. The luggage transfers went smoothly without a hitch and the map ensured we always found our hotel. The hotel in Arzua was a little way from the pilgrim route, but it wasn't a major problem. Fantastic experience: This is the second time that we have used Walk the Camino and again the service provided was excellent. The hotels were good, there were no problems with our luggage, the interactive Google map was very helpful and the team was responsive. One of the hotels ( near Deba) was a distance off the Camino and even with the Google map we nearly missed it but it was worth the effort. On the last night our hotel stated that our second night in Bilbao hadn’t been requested. A phone call to Caroline in the morning sorted that out straight away. We would certainly use Walk the Camino again

Fantastic experience: We have just returned from walking the Camino from Sarria to Santiago de Compostela with WalktheCamino. As we are all retired and had never done anything like this before, we chose a slightly longer timetable for our trip and Caroline was quickly able to fit in with our dates by booking us into additional accommodation between the usual stops. The advance mapping information was really helpful and all our luggage was delivered every day to our hotels. Fantastic experience: We booked the Luxury Guided Camino tour with Walk the Camino. This is our first Camino and it has been a wonderful and meaningful Camino journey. Since making the booking six months ago, the communications from the tour were clear, prompt and timely. In addition to having an excellent and experienced guide, the selection of hotels were thoughtful and flawless. The rooms were comfortable and service staff at each establishment were warm and welcoming. It was very much needed at the end of each day for a good recovery. Their organisation was impeccable, everything was sent to me on time, they chose great accommodation for me, including regular reviewing of accommodation waiting lists until they could book me in. I was especially pleased with the upgraded hotels in some places but also loved some of the rustic, friendly casas rurales. And whenever I had a question or concern, they responded promptly often in a matter of minutes! And they arranged the surprise visit from my daughter who came to walk the last 100K with me, dealing with hotel reservations, car services, etc. wonderful!

Fantastic experience: A friend and I recently walked the Camino Frances. Early in our planning, we debated some basic questions: Should we stay in multi-bed hostels or private hotel rooms with our own bathrooms? Should we wing it or book accommodations in advance? Should we carry everything on our backs or shuttle some of our stuff forward each day? We ultimately opted for privacy, certainty and lighter backpacks. While we could have booked accommodations and shuttle services ourselves, we decided to rely instead on an experienced Camino travel agency. We researched half a dozen agencies and even developed a spreadsheet to compare them based on experience, costs, flexibility, ratings, etc. We settled on Walk the Camino. And looking back, I have to say without reservation we made the right decision! Caroline and her colleagues relied heavily on their years of experience and knowledge of the route to give us a sound foundation on which to base our first Camino. As a critical initial step, she established an itinerary that worked for us. I cannot emphasize how important it is to know how far you can reasonably walk each day. For us it was 12-15 miles. Using this number, Caroline laid out an itinerary that made each leg of our walk manageable. The only day I would break up in retrospect would have been the 16-mile march from Villafranca to O Cebreiro. The last 5 miles were straight up and relentless! She and her team also selected a wonderful array of places to stay each night. These ranged from simple one-star hostals to elegant three-star hotels. All included private rooms, en-suite bathrooms and a good breakfast every morning. Nearly all were situated on or very near the Camino itself. And most possessed considerable character, often located in beautifully preserved or renovated buildings. I will never forget my stays in the medieval monastery in Roncesvalles, the hotel overlooking the ancient bridge in Hospital de Orbigo, and the "Hobbit hotel" in O Cebreiro. Finally, I cannot commend Caroline and her staff enough for making the logistics of our walk nearly flawless. We stayed in 37 hotels over six weeks. Only once did we encounter an issue with a reservation. Owing to a miscommunication, we discovered we did not have rooms reserved for the night when we arrived at a hotel in San Juan de Ortega. Caroline was quick to find an alternative place in a nearby village. In fact, she upgraded us to a magnificent hotel in a renovated old Camino hospital, which turned out to be the most lavish hotel of our trip. The Jacotrans shuttle service had our luggage waiting for us upon arrival every day without fail. Finally, whenever we had a question, even after hours, Caroline or her staff would quickly respond via WhatsApp. If you are looking for seasoned travel professionals to help you plan, tailor and book your Camino, save yourself the effort and look no further than Walk the Camino.

Fantastic experience: Walking the less frequented Camino Arragones at a quiet time of year had lots of organisational challenges as many hotels and restaurants were closed. But Caroline and the Walk the Camino crew were tireless in finding us comfortable places to stay and organising local drivers to shuttle us around to make it all work.
