Negative experience: We had a very disappointing experience with their service. After submitting our application to have our home listed on their platform, we received no response, despite several follow-up attempts. They didn't even send a courtesy email to provide an update on the status of our application.

I spoke with our onboarding team and they advised that there was an issue with the link submitted with your initial application. However, I can then see that you were not promptly updated on the status of the application after submitting this to us via chat. I want to assure you that this has been reported and will be reviewed internally. Fantastic experience: Booking through the Plum Guide was the best thing we could have done. We organised a weekend away with a multi-family group - Plum Guide made it very easy to find a property that suited the long list of requirements to make everyone happy (dogs, kids, teens, adults!). The house we chose was just beautiful and lived up to the pictures on the site. It was very well equipped and the communications between booking and arriving were clear, helpful and proactive. It was easy to find everything we needed, we were sent great reminders and instructions on how to get into the house, key points about the running of the house etc ahead of time. Great experience all round.

Negative experience: As a host, my experience with Plum Guide has been nothing short of frustrating. Despite 2 bookings since July and August, I have yet to receive any payments, which are still marked as "processing" months later (it's now September). To make matters worse, the platform has only provided a single booking per listing over the past six months, seemingly just to justify their hefty commission of £400 as they charge onboarding commission of the first booking. Their customer service has been abysmal—repeated emails have gone unanswered, leaving me in the dark with no support. This lack of responsiveness and transparency is unacceptable. I strongly advise against working with Plum Guide.

Fantastic experience: This apartment was fantastic and newly updated with amazing balcony overlooking the sea. Excellent location lose to restaurants, transit, the sea etc. Highly recommend this unit. The restaurant beside this place is excellent as well

Negative experience: The worst company I have rented a place from. Beware of deceptive information advertised about their on-line properties. The properties look great on-line, but when you show up the place is very different. They claim to vet the properties, but that is not true. Airbnb is so much better and they provide better customer support. Plum guide won’t respond to issues you may have while staying at a property and they will continue to try to delay helping you until you have to leave. I am writing this review in hoping to prevent others from going through what my family and I went through with this horrible company. They are a small company and it shows. Save yourself the headache and go with a better company.

Positive experience: First, the problems: we were not given the exact address of the property for reasons that were unclear to me. So we could not tell anyone where we would be staying in Paris until a day before we got there. The rooms were pleasant. We would have liked a comfortable easy chair; the one that was there was not very comfortable. We did not use the sofa-bed, but I would strongly suggest that the one they have in the living room be replaced; it was a real mess; the interior was torn and the sofa was not very comfortable. We had difficulty in using the appliances -- we never got the clothes washing machine working. When we needed help it was a long time in coming. We never saw anyone from. Plum Guide on the property when we were there. As for the good things: the location is very good. Easy to walk to Les Invalides L'École Militaire, the Eiffel Tower, the Seine. Rue Cler is a block or so away. The rooms are fairly small, but the kitchenette was well-stocked: induction top, oven, dishwasher -- all very good. The bed was comfortable and the bath adequate. In the end, one representative, a man named Juan, contacted us via e-mail, saw some of troubles we were having, and helped us in a very humane way to get through them. Four stars for what turned out to be a thoroughly delightful experience.

Negative experience: First time using plumguide. Historically used a rival company but wanted to check them out. The customer service is non existent. I have sent emails, made multiple calls… nothing. First and last time using them.

Fantastic experience: Whenever I travel, I check to see what Homes Plum Guide has available. I have used them several times and have found them to be very responsive and very good at curating homes. Very often, you don’t know what you are getting when you book a home. Plum Guide makes it easy because they check out the homes before listing and by telling you the pluses as well as the drawbacks. I have yet to be unhappy with any home I have booked with them. They and their hosts are very easy to work with and accommodating. I recommended them to all my friends.

Negative experience: I've tried reaching out to customer service with no luck. The phone number references the website and even there you can't chat with anyone. We spent $2500 for 3 nights in London. This was supposed to be nice flat in Chelsea. Instead, the entire building was covered in scafolding. We could not see of the windows. In addiiton, the front door lock didn't work. We had to fix it and send a video to the host on how to use it. The host said he would refund 20%. We never received that. Do NOT use this service. A hotel is a much better route. For $700 a night, you can secure a nice hotel. I'm happy to help anyone navigate to better options.

Fantastic experience: Four of us stayed in a Plum Guide apartment in Paris. I had originally booked a hotel close to Eiffel Tower for two of us, but this apartment was a way better deal for 4 and saved us more. I simply filtered desired Arrondissements (Paris Zones), price range, number of rooms and bathrooms. Then map helped me to narrow down results. It has Kitchen with an oven, refrigerator and utensils. It has even hair dryer and Vacuum cleaner. It's close to the Grocery store, bakeries for hot morning bread and Metro within 25-40 minutes to any site in Paris. We only took Bolt/Uber from/to CDG airport. Photos are an exact representation of the apartment being new and clean with good WIFI. Organizer scheduled cleaners after a week. It's a secure apartment complex and the organizer connects well with any question online quickly. The neighborhood was lively and we had a view of the soccer field from apartment. Those players are really good. I recommend the apartment and Plum Guide after our first experience.
Positive experience: Much better than VRBO and Airbnb, but need to periodically update their listings. The place we stayed was in a great location, but the photos were out of date. Expected furniture was missing, and there was no comfortable place for 4 people to hang out in the common area. Price was not quite in line with quality of the place (lots of IKEA vibe furniture and leather couch was very worn out). Would try Plum Guide again because it was easy and offered more unique properties, but hoping they audit their listings more frequently going forward.

Fantastic experience: We rented two separate properties via Plum Guide in London for an extended stay. Our experience with Plum Guide was fabulous, as they really listened to what we wanted in an apartment and then helped us curate a list of properties that would work. We had good communications with the Plum Guide team for booking, and then with the property managers prior to arrival. We had one issue with a property not having hot water and the property manager fixed it promptly. Overall would highly recommend Plum Guide for travel accomodations.

Fantastic experience: I was very pleased with Plumguide. I admit I was skeptical at first as I had never heard of this organization until we googled vacation rentals in Umbria. We found a beautiful-looking property that sleeps 12. With so much $ at stake, I wanted to be sure this was legit. As it turns out, both the Plumguide service and the property we rented were outstanding. I will use Plumguide again!

Negative experience: The worst possible website to book a place to stay, never in my life have I had to go this complicated process to end up being denied a booking of apartment. For the context, I was planning a visit to London, to see my brother, who is right now in between moving, therefore is staying with his friend in his apartment. I couldn’t stay at his friends place as there was no place for me, thus I decided to book apartment for both of us, so I have a place to stay and brother too, so I won’t be alone and etc. This is definitely not needed details but both the Plumguide and the host of the apartment called “Walking in the Air” near Battersea power station really wanted to know. By the tone of both Plumguide and the host of the apartment it was clear that they couldn’t comprehend why would I book an apartment and were suspicious of something sketchy going on. Which I considered to be quite disrespectful because I already paid the full price for the stay at the apartment. The host of the apartment called “Walking in the Air” was something on another level. After making a request for a booking I asked her if I could check in at midnight as my flight arrives at night, she replied saying that she will look into it and see if someone would be there to I assume give us the keys to the apartment. I replied saying okay, if nobody would be there then I can check in in the morning (staying the night at the hotel, which was no problem for me). Then I asked her if I could order some parcels for the address of the apartment ( I wanted to do some online shopping). Then she asked if I could give her a call, I couldn’t because I don’t live in the UK but my brother does, so I gave her his phone number. They talked and then my brother tells me that she thought that we were suspicious and were going to scam her somehow (I already paid the full price for the apartment and I’m really interested in what elaborate scheme of scamming did she imagine for us to do with mail??) because I asked her about ordering some parcels. She was also suspicious because I was changing my ‘statements’ about what time I want to check in ( I literally wanted to know if there will be someone at midnight to hand the keys and if not then I’ll check in in the morning, staying the night at the hotel, no problem for me). Then she asked a bunch of other utterly ridiculous questions like how can I come to UK if I live in Belarus ( we don’t have international flights due to political situation) and the answer to that question is pretty obvious to me but I guess not all people are gifted with logic. ✨You can cross the border by car✨ Crazy. Then she asked how are me and my brother related if we have different surnames( we don’t, they just have a different ending, thats a thing in my language) , again nothing crazy. Then she wanted to meet my brother in real life for unknown reason? At the end she said everything was good, and apartment will be ready for us. I then texted plumguide because they wanted to ask some questions, which were pretty similar to the host’s . As her they were perplexed as to why I would rent an apartment if my brother lives in London. I guess they haven’t considered a million reasons for that to happen. Long story short after I chatted with plumguide, the host canceled our booking, and blocked my brothers phone number? Never in my life did I expect to be interrogated by the website for booking and the host of an apartment and made feel like I was some sort of criminal who was planning to carry out an elaborate scheme of scamming. It’s safe to say that I will never use this website ever again and about the host I think she needs to go for a walk because for a moment there it seemed like she turned into Sherlock Holmes, trying to crack the case of this ‘elaborate scheme of scamming’.
Fantastic experience: The Rosso is a beautiful villa. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The grounds are beautiful along with the pool and spa. The stonework throughout makes the entire place feel magical. We also had a chef prepare a meal for us while in the villa and had a cooking class as well. Both recommended by "The Plum Guide" and both were outstanding. The Plum Guide was very responsive throughout the entire booking process. Always quick to respond to questions and offer suggestions. I’d definitely use Plum Guide again!

Fantastic experience: I rented an appartement in Rome for my husband and I for 12 days with Plum Guide. It took me a while before I found the perfect one, but with the help of the Plume Guide advisors, it was an easy process. I communicated with them through their messaging function on their website. There was always someone who could answer my questions. I was also dealing with the same person for the first week, so that made it easy. Then when she had to take a few days off, another person took over, but was aware of what had gone on before with the other agent, so I never had to start from the beginning again. The agents from Plume Guide were always courteous, quick to reply to any questions, very knowledgeable and polite. I would highly recommend them, and will use them in the future when needed.

Fantastic experience: We used Plum Guide to find a great apartment in Lisbon, Portugal. The location is really perfect. Not too busy but still very walkable to many areas or to metro and trains if you desire. The apartment is roomy, clean and very comfortable. It is just a few doors down from an Aldi grocery store and several ATMs and several fantastic restaurants. I would definitely recommend this to a friend and stay there again.

Fantastic experience: Could not have chosen a more perfect place! The pics are indeed accurate to the layout, but don’t do them near the justice to the character, ambiance and ‘feeling like home’ vibe. The upstairs/ downstairs provided more than ample space for me and my wife (much, much more than any hotel room I found) - and each having separate ‘toilettes’ gave us the privacy we both appreciate. What particularly caught my attention is the terrace…we’re not talking just a balcony, this is a full fledged living area all unto itself. What a treat to have coffee in the morning or a glass of wine at night to the sights, sounds and smells of Paris (there is a bakery on the ground floor, a coffee shop across the street) while surrounded by the beautiful plants and furnishings, which also includes a completely covered area (we did experience a bit of rain, but did not stop us from enjoying the terrace). While the space exudes ‘old world charm’, the upstairs bathroom is completely updated, including a walk-in shower with rainfall & handheld options, and a very functional and stocked kitchenette (including washing machine). I originally found ‘Sweet Pea’ due to its location, on Ile Saint-Louis, seeking to have a central location with more of a ‘quieter and neighborhood’ feel. What a magical area…walk the island and you feel like you have stepped hundreds of years back in time, but you are literally steps away from accessing ‘The Marais’, Notre Dame, Saint-Germain and Latin Quarter. There are also a supermarket, chocolate and cheese shop on the same block, as well as many restaurants and unique shops. Our host could not have been more accommodating or engaging, personally welcoming us upon arrival and ensuring we were well versed with all the functionally, access and amenities that her home had to offer. I can’t recommend this place enough, nor can I wait to someday return!!!

Fantastic experience: We were unexpectedly upgraded to a 5th floor apartment after an issue occurred with our original ground-floor booking. This turned out to be a true blessing as the new apartment was much more spacious and had the most beautiful natural light. We truly loved looking out onto the Parisian streets every day. The apartment was simple, but cozy, and we made ourselves comfortable all week long. We would definitely return!
Fantastic experience: A beautiful, clean, comfortable, spacious apartment in the heart of Rome. The hosts were so accommodating, friendly and attentive. They greet you with a welcoming smile, providing you with all the help and info you need to make your trip perfect. They made us feel right at home. They set up convenient transportation to and from the airport and offer assistance with booking tours and all kinds of activities you can enjoy during your stay. The list of local restaurants provided was awesome! It’s quite unique being able to wake up and look out your kitchen window to an epic view of the Colosseum while sipping an espresso. You really can’t get much better.
Fantastic experience: As a regular world traveler for many years, sometimes for business, sometimes personal, I have (1) largely given up on hotels and (2) curate trusted booking services who help find the best vacation homes. Plum Guide is my latest discovery and my experience with them had been stellar. There's tremendous value in working with a service that is not some massive corp heading you off to 3rd party support and complicated websites, and a service that is not only responsive quickly, but available for all your needs. I'll be using Plum Guide again soon. Their vetted properties and reliability is excellent!

Positive experience: Very nice, modern and comfortable apartment, ideal for 2 people. Noisy during the day but not at night. Excellent location in downtown Funchal, lots of restaurants near by. Highly recommend.
Fantastic experience: The appartement is centrally located , close to everything: shops, groceries, restaurants, transportation (bus, trains, metro), secure and safe, very well appointed and sober in decoration. We stayed a month in February-March 2024 and we loved every minute of it!!
Fantastic experience: I have used Plum Guide many times for trips to Europe. Each time, the rental has been everything that is in the description. The reservation process is very easy and the website is well laid out. They are my first choice in finding a place to stay.
Fantastic experience: My family used Plum Guide to secure a flat in Barcelona and are so glad we did! The apartment was centrally located in a regular neighborhood rather than a tourist district; was well-decorated and appointed for travelers; and clearly was cared for by an individual owner rather than a property management company. Being able to operate from such a comfortable, clean, and cool place made a good vacation great.
Fantastic experience: Plum Guide is easy to use and their employees are extremely knowledgable and super nice to work with! My wife and I just rented a beautiful apartment for a week in London, and the price and payment terms were very reasonable. This is our first time renting with Plum Guide, but we will surely use them many times in the future!
Fantastic experience: This website is actually legit and I reccommend it to all my friends who travel. I used Plum Guide to book an apartment in Rome for a 4-week stay, and I got a lovely place that looked exactly as pictured, in a popular, vibrant, walkable neighborhood. My host was gracious and kind, and the entire stay was a dream!
Fantastic experience: Plum Guide checks out properties and generally, they have been exactly as advertised. We had one that was not and they took action to try to correct the situation and informed us of a planned review of the property. The properties have been easy to book and directions for access are accurate and simple.
Fantastic experience: Fabulous! Had a wonderful and unique experience with our Plum Guide booking! Everything went smoothly and the rental was even better than advertised! Would stay at the Red House in Brooklyn again in a nanosecond if not for those damned new short term rental laws in NYC! Will rely on Plum Guide for future trips in other places, for sure!

Fantastic experience: Swimming in the clouds was just that!. High above looking across the Deep Blue Aegean Sea!. The unit was perfect size for when we wanted to get out of the sun, but who really needed to do that with the large umbrellas outside that could shelter you when you wanted them to from the sun, or put them down to bathe in it. Fantastic experience: Whispering courtyard was the perfect little Paris apartment. The neighborhood was quiet and safe, and there were wonderful local restaurants nearby. 1 1/2 blocks from the Metro, so we could get anywhere quickly. I highly recommend it!

Negative experience: We had a very unfortunate experience with Plum. We arrived after a long trip to our rental and were told to avoid concierge and that we would find keys in lock box outside. Concerned about this we connected with manager and they tried to reassure us that if any inquires made we were guests of so and so staying at their home. we were tired and we had our 5 children with us. We did not want to be staying in an illegal rental and were not reassured and had to find another place to stay that night. after the trip we attempted to recover our costs (expensive) and Plum was unable to help us despite booking being made through them, owners refused as well. neither we note has every confirmed that the rental was legitimate terrible experience fortunately we have never had something like this happen before despite many trips but this was the first and last time we use Plum. Negative experience: Horrible experience, they cancelled the booking with no real reason given by the owner after already taking the payment. The money is yet to be refunded and getting in touch with anyone from their team is a complete nightmare. I have a suspicion that the owner may or may not have seen that it was not “a family of their preference” and just decided to cancel. I would definitely recommend using a different service. It’s a shame as I had planned Christmas and the company’s customer service if anything doesn’t go to plan is completely horrible, and there is 0 compensation if you are messed around whilst they demand premium prices. The property was the “Bonsai by the beach” hosted by a David. Be careful.

Negative experience: Any booking agency that doesn't show the exact address of accomodation is highly suspect. Hotels, Bed and Breakfasts will show you exact address location. Instead we get this: "For security reasons we are unable to give the full address" That's just bogus. Any reputable booking engine will provide exact addresses before booking!
Hi J, You are 100% correct - for the safety & privacy of our hosts, we don't share a full street number included address until you have a confirmed booking - then you receive absolutely everything you need in your confirmation email. However we do provide the postcode if requested and there is a specific and correct map location on all of our listings so you would know pre-booking the street you are booking on and the area you are booking in. Negative experience: Plum Guide cancelled 2 days before I was to arrive. I booked a house in London for a month-long stay and Plum Guide contacted me two days before our arrival and cancelled our booking without explanation. Instead of helping us to find other accommodations, they didn't respond to texts, e-mails or phone calls to sort it out. They abandoned us. We had book a hotel that was really expensive because it was last minute. It took ages to get a refund. There's nothing in the booking contract to protect you from them canceling without notice. My advice: use another booking company or buy travel insurance so at least you're covered if Plum Guide cancels your booking last minute. I'd never use this company again.

Negative experience: The customer service agents were lovely and very helpful but I’m annoyed because my credit card was charged at the time I attempted to make a booking, even though the property host rejected my booking request. 48 hours later the charge is still on my credit card and limiting my ability to book another property. This is very annoying and I don’t think any charges should hit my card unless s as d until my booking is accepted. Probably won’t book via this site again for this reason.

For our Request to Book homes, no funds are taken when you make your request, instead a hold is placed which is then automatically voided should the booking not be accepted by the host (much like when you take an uber which is only charged after the trip is completed). I can see that the hold on the funds was released as soon as the booking was declined, I will also reach out to you via email to send you through a receipt of this. It can vary from provider to provider how long it takes for the hold to dissolve from your statement but unfortunately this is not something within our control. Fantastic experience: We had an extended stay in Paris booked with Plum Guide, to begin April 15, 2020. We all know how that ended. Because no one anticipated a pandemic, there were no provisions in the contract for us to cancel just a month ahead. We were entitled to only a 50% refund of our fee. However, Plum Guide refunded 100%. They had no obligation to do so, they just did. We were so grateful. This year we'll finally be taking that long trip. The folks at Plum Guide were very helpful as we searched for the right apartment in Paris and they've continued to be helpful as we get ready to go. All in, Plum Guide has been terrific.

Negative experience: Very poor property which didn’t meet the specifications which Plum had confirmed in writing. The property was soo poor that I had to leave after one night only (out of 6 nights booked). Very customer service dealing with the problem thereafter.

Negative experience: Plum Guide ( which is the same as One Fine Stay) did not get truly “vet” the home we rented. Was leaking when we checked in. Took 3 days to repair a toilet. Home not a “luxury” rental. Not what was pictured and a disappointing stay.

Negative experience: WARNING! Don't use Plum Guide. They set us up in overpriced apartment in SOHO that was falsely advertised. Complete misrepresentation. Upon rejecting the place at first inspection they wouldn't return our full deposit for our 2 weeks stay. $10k down the drain. They are just a 3rd party collecting fees and claiming there is an actual "Plum Guide Test". BEWARE of Plum Guide. Is there a Better Business Bureau in Europe to report them?

Negative experience: We rented a unit in Soho, London to arrive and find that the unit was subpar. We were not able to reach the host till 24b hours later when he offered us a rollaway "free of charge" (the bed was a European King not a US King). The unit was worn, had damages, dirty and the building as well as the unit smelled. We approached Plum Guide for at least a partial refund to be refused by them. This comment is not true that PG states: “For best-in-class quality you can trust.As a guest, it means we've done the hard work for you. We've taken the hit-and-miss out of choosing. If it's on Plum Guide, you can expect consistent, high quality standards.” This unit is a clear misrepresentation.

Negative experience: Several weeks ago I choose and paid for a property for my two children and I to stay in London for a special occasian (my 50th birthday) in a few weeks time. Booked the restaurants, theatre shows and all the special things in order to make it a truly memorable weekend stay in London. They have informed my that a mistake was made and that actually this property is a 7 day booking only. Surely in this case the website needs to honor on their promise? I have been scouring the web for a suitable alternative but can't find another property that is suitable. Suggest avoiding this website in order to prevent a really special occasion being riuned.

Positive experience: "Free Spirit" is a true reflection of the host Demelza Jones. The host and Shrimp are GEMS!!! If you're looking for a quirky, comfortable, safe place to call home for a couple of months' stay in London, this is IT!!! I stayed here with my family during my recovery from foot surgery and was mostly confined to the flat unable to walk. It helped tones that it's a ground floor apartment. The natural lighting in the space is a plus --- where better to recover? It was equipped with most things we needed but during our stay we gathered other specifics that made preparing meals easier for us. I'd suggest that Demelza add a NutriBullet to her kitchen appliances since I've stored mine with my daughter. LOL!!! Our only major concern was the multiple times that the electricals tripped and at one time, took the internet service with it!!! Overall, it was an enjoyable three months close to the Church Street Market, Tesco, Aldi, Edgware, Marble Arch, Oxford Street and in close proximity to The Princess Grace Hospital to name only a few. Remember to walk with your playlist to hook into the overhead sound system. I'd recommend a "Free Spirit" long stay to my friends and family in a heart beat!!!!

Negative experience: As a jost, I have been waiting already 3 months to solve an issue regarding deductions that the company unilaterally deducted from the booking. We still have no explanation of why Plumguide deducted a further 20%.

Negative experience: Left stranded in central London at 2pm with two kids, and no accommodation after flying all the way from Sydney, having paid in full for my accomodation several months previously. The host had been somewhat unresponsive in the week before I arrived which I’d flagged with Head Office and told everything was ok. Called them from the airport and got no response. At 1pm I called Head Office who said they’d try and get hold of the host, they were unable to and the host never turned up at the 2pm in check in time. There was no other accomodation options for them to offer us that evening and so we we ended up having to seek out and pay for additional accomodation (a central London hotel) ourselves. We were offered an alternative apartment for the next few days but didn’t take it up as we really didn’t have the energy to pack up and move again. A terrible and stressful experience!
Fantastic experience: Plum offer a great range of properties, all quirky and stylish in their own way. I love that they have critics review the properties rather than leaving it to the mercy of customer reviews. The place me and my friends stayed in in Porto was stunning and we felt assured it'd be a great stay even before we got there due to the high standards of Plum. We were bowled over by our experience

Negative experience: AWFUL. Don't trust the pictures and don't trust what they advertise. I've tried Plum Guide twice: first, they booked and charged a place that was already booked (!). After the cancellation, I had to start a whole new search to find a new place and still wait for 15 days to get my refund. And the second (and LAST) time was the worst: at the moment of check in I realized that the place was way SMALLER, WORN OUT, NOISY and completely different from the pictures. I let them know immediately and left the place--and they refused to refund and offered outrageous 100 Euros "as a gesture of goodwill." Really? The website looks nice, the people look polite, but Plum Guide really does look like a scam. RUN from Plum Guide. Use Airbnb Plus or Onefinestay instead.
Negative experience: We stayed at a 2 bedroom /2 bathroom flat in Fitzrovia called "Central Residence" for four nights. No one was there to greet us when we arrived, except the cleaning lady. From the beginning, the tv did not work, then on the second day the lights in one of the bathrooms did not go on (try taking a shower in complete darkness) and the toilet in that bathroom was stopped up (could not be flushed) AND there was no WIFI. We tried diligently to talk to the host AND to the people at PLUM guide. We got NO Responses from either to fix any of our problems. We started by making multiple attempts to contact the host/property owner. Seven hours later, the host finally replied via WhatsApp, promising that their maintenance person would arrive the next day, but no one ever showed up. Next, we tried to contact Plum Guide (replying to a text message from "Ashlee, Head of Care"). We got absolutely no reply from Plum Guide until 3 days later, when we had already checked out of the property. It was a complete disaster. So much for luxury Air B&B. Do not stay at Central Residence (owned the Arcore properties) or rent through Plum Guide if you like functioning toilets, WIFI, lights or television.
Negative experience: I am currently staying at a property and have been unable to get hold of the local 'host'. The number provided goes through to Original cottages, which is not the same company as Plum Guide. The property does not deliver all the amenities listed on the site - missing is the walk in shower, fire place, sauna and king size bed. Apart from that, the shower that does exist is so tiny you cannot turn around in it, the bath leaks and was made for VERY tiny people, there are no recycle bags to use as instructed and the basis in the kitchen also leaks. Apart from that, it is a lovely little place.
Fantastic experience: Our stay as a family of 4 was excellent. Rico is a great host who was very helpful and always available to deal with any queries from the start of our stay until the end. As for the flat, it is conveniently located in the heart of London and we did not need to use public transport to go anywhere. In addition, it was perfectly well equipped and had everything we might possibly need. We would highly recommend the flat to anyone wishing to spend a holiday in central London and enjoying the delights of the city.

Fantastic experience: Peach Cobbler is a lovely large cottage in Osmotherly, North Yorkshire situated for walks in the country or a ride across to the coast for Whitby and surrounding areas. It had everything we needed for our weeks' stay.
Negative experience: At the beginning of 2020, my parents booked a 2 bedroom flat in central London to stay for 1 month starting the beginning of March. However, once they arrived, 2 days later, COVID -19 took a turn and European countries announced national lockdowns. Given the uncertainty of the situation, my parents left after 2 days as there was a high chance the country in which they live in Europe closes its borders. After informing plum guide about the situation, and many back and forth, they only reimbursed us less than 15% of the total amount of the booking. Deferring the booking to another date was not even given us an option, and they made it feel like they were doing us a favour. On top of that, before agreeing on this negligible compensation, cleaners were sent for the post-stay cleaning, threw away the items left on purpose, and changed the codes to the building/ flat so that no one could enter in, which i found out as I (their daughter) went to go pick up the leftover stuff. Overall, we were unimpressed by the customer service provided by Plumguide, especially in these crazy times during the pandemic. We expected more flexibility and understanding of the situation and a better deal.

Negative experience: I booked a flat in Farringdon, London for the entire month through Plum Guide for a Sonder apartment. The place was absolutely not as advertised. I was given the wrong entry code and then a master code to all rooms in the building (which is a security risk). Then upon entering, I have taken pictures of wood splinters, stains on the wall, the curtain only raises on one side, a glob of gum on the nightstand immediately when I saw it. The place is stuffy and bug ridden. Plum Guide support has been entirely unhelpful. Absolutely avoid them.
Negative experience: These guys do not seem to vet their tenants - list your property at your own risk. Last night the police had to be called to a property they let to complete delinquents. There is of course no way for neighbours to contact the agency with a complaint.

When we had to cancel our trip due to the COVID-19 outbreak, Plum Guide cancelled AND REFUNDED (unlike the vouchers the airlines are offering) our reservation with no argument. Refund was processed within a week, unlike the big airlines which we are STILL waiting on! You may find the same properties on other sites for lower prices, but I would say you are paying extra for Plum Guide customer service. I have recommended Plum Guide to colleagues. Thank you!
Fantastic experience: Have used the Plum Guide 3 times in the last 2 years to find family accommodation in Central London, from 3 star to 5 star, for 3 to 8 adults. They found 3 separate, magnificent properties that exactly matched our differing needs; with excellent hosts/owners. The Plum Guide staff are competent, attentive and contactable 24/7, even by phone!! There back office systems for payments and notifications worked effectively and smoothly. Some of our requests were a little out of the ordinary but they were handled smoothly and competently. We will be use The Plum Guide for all our international accommodation in the future.

Fantastic experience: We arrived not knowing if we will find the place exactly as we had seen it in the pictures. We were delighted to see it was as we expected. The hosts were gracious and helpful throughout the process. The ambience of the flat and its location give us a true Parisian experience. We will surely come back!

Fantastic experience: Had a lovely stay at The Ginger Meggs in Canonbury. Despite being less than 5 minutes by Overground from Highbury & Islington, it had such an eclectic village fee to it. A really cool flat with the most comfortable and aesthetically striking sofa I've ever sat on. A real quiet space to just read and chill, with plenty of green space and the best chips to be found on Newington Green. Great host who left clear information and a welcome tray.
Fantastic experience: The Plum Guide were really helpful, and offered lots of additional information. They were an excellent go-between between us and the property, and the website experience and the idea that the properties have all been thoroughly vetted made us feel confident to book, in a way we wouldn't normally. We're already thinking about rebooking the same apartment in a couple of weeks.

Fantastic experience: The whole experience was seamless and I was given easy to access information almost every step of the way! The selection is of a high standard and made it easy to choose with all the tips and insights given. Recommendations are 100% accurate and are thought about from the users perspective. I particularly appreciated the text messages a couple of days before with the contact details and address of where I was staying and a link to the itinerary. Helped when I needed quick access to my booking details in transit! There are a few tweaks on the profile component that would make this even easier, such as having your trips available for a bit longer on day of departure, as I still needed check out info but the trip was already gone from my profile (Happy to give more insight on this digital user experience component Plum Guide! Just reach out) but overall my new fave apartment rental app. Now just need you in more places!
Fantastic experience: We've had two excellent short-term rentals with Plum Guide, one in London/Islington two and half years ago for 10 days, and one in Paris/Grand Boulevards over Christmas and New Year's this year, also for 10 days. Bother we excellent locations and overall nice, comfortable and clean accommodations (note that while Plum does try to hold property owners to certain standards, these are individual's homes and there are some quirks -- fewer issues, I'd say, than we've had with AirBNB). In both cases, the hosts (property owners) have been great about making us feel at home and offered tips of ways to enjoy their homes and neighborhoods in a way that hotels can't. Also, in both cases we were traveling with our adult daughter, so the extra space needed made Plum Guide as or more affordable than renting two hotel rooms. Also nice on a longer stay not to have to have three meals out every day. All in all, we will use it again -- even traveling just as a couple -- and highly recommend it to others.
