Negative experience: My partner made a booking which wasn't processed properly by Canopy and Stars. The owner has put the price up in the meantime, so Canopy and Stars are trying to charge us more?!
Negative experience: I made a booking with them, which apparently failed to register properly on their side - but I got no notification of this. In the meantime the price went up and so they're now requiring me to pay more than I would have done if there hadn't been this issue on their side. Not great!
Fantastic experience: We came here for my partner’s birthday, and I was absolutely blown away by how thoughtful kitty/paddy is, we arrived with a bottle of bubbly, some chocolate bics, fresh towels, and an absolutely clean and tidy welcome. I phoned kitty the day I booked and said it was my partner’s birthday, is it possible to semi heat the hot tub , and when we got here there was all decorations in the place and the hot tub was pre heated for us, even though kitty was busy she still managed to get the little detail stuff done by asking paddy/team. The place has everything that we needed even down to coffee and sugar, a box filled with games, books etc and under the bed a game of croquet. This place really does have everything to make your stay that extra enjoyable. The bbq and even a fire pit which was all clean and The hot tub was immaculate. Our stay here in st Agnes is an unforgettable time that will stay with us forever. We can’t wait to come back again. Thank you for all at stars and canopy for such an amazingly beautiful place here, total relaxation and bliss in your own secluded pitch. :D
Negative experience: Really Really bad folks.. Do not book a holiday through these people. You will have no guarantee of having anything resolved or rectified, only false sorrys and empty sympathies. Please check out there feedback from other sources than their own website because they on show you some good reviews there...go to Trustpilot to see reviews from this platform because you will then see the true amount of bad reviews,which is a tremendous amount that is surprising because you are in a mindset of nice nice when your on their website because of all the pretty pictures...However do not be fooled by this please,please do more research because they are completely money oriented and even in the most worst case scenarios possible they will still refuse a refund with endless ridiculous excuses!!! Absolutely awful company with terrible inaccurate listing's and false information about their holiday homes.
Fantastic experience: Great company to work with and find unique places
Negative experience: Very old photos of cabins on the website, nothing is updated. Used them twice, same experience. Dirty old cabins. Very misleading information provided by canopy and stars. They only upload positive reviews on their website which is why I have opted for Google reviews. I doubt Canopy and stars have any checks on the cabins and they don’t request new photos of the cabins from the owners - be careful! You might be sold something which isn’t true!
Negative experience: So expensive for what it is and really limited on choosing trip dates/durations... Why is there no way to filter by duration or set a price limit?

Negative experience: 0/5 Terrible, Had an absolutely shocking nights stay at the Hinterlandes hut in the lake district. Canopy and Stars don't have a proper review process so our negative review will never make it to their website and they will just keep the goods ones conning people into spending their money staying at their overpriced and horrendous locations.

Fantastic experience: Love love love Canopy and Stars. We use them for all our long weekend trips in the UK and always find the most amazing, unique places to stay. Brilliant company, always happy to help and quick to find a solution - had a few problems with vouchers and rebooking a trip and they sorted it out in no time and were so pleasant to deal with. Really refreshing company in a world where customer service is often sadly overlooked! Thank you very much!

Negative experience: Very poor communication during this Covid situation. Booked for my wedding anniversary. Travelled 6 Hrs to Sky Den. Just to find out there were not operating. Fully refunded though. Not using this service again.

Fantastic experience: Had the most amazing 3 days away
Fantastic experience: C&S have been exceptionally helpful, we had 2 ‘mini moons’ booked this year but after our wedding got cancelled we decided not to go to these places. I hadn’t realised at the time that being a travel agent we couldn’t get credit for these bookings as they had already been paid for. But the customer service team were great & organised refunds with the hosts so we could use this money elsewhere! We now have a wonderful trip booked for NYE, so we can start 2021 afresh.
Fantastic experience: We had the most magical time at the Woodman's Wagon. It has been beautifully designed. We loved the wood-burning fires and having to work for your hot bath was all worth it. We can't wait to return. Autumn time is so romantic and Devon was looking beautiful. Thank you Amanda and Matt!
Fantastic experience: Get away from it all with your own little hideaway in the woods...a little bit of an adventure but with all the mod cons. We loved the pod, hot tub and decking and the little kitchen and flushing loo made life easy. Walkers take your own maps as the footpaths are not as joined up as we are used to here in Gloucestershire but we still did two lovely days of walking around the pod area. We also had an uninterrupted day of mooching in the secrete glad that is you home from home. Definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: Joan's Hut Worcestershire From the moment we descended the path into what seems like a secret, secluded valley, we knew we were in for something unique and special. Sat amongst the damson orchard we found Joans Hut brimming with character. As we got closer we could smell the wood smoke from the fire that Tim had made for us. He then gave us a warm welcome and a bottle of his damson gin. Later in the evening we enjoyed the kind tipple by candlelight sat in the roll top bath. Joan’s Hut is the perfect escape, full of character and an absolute pleasure. Wish we could have stayed longer !
Fantastic experience: We stayed at the Nancy Blackett in Somerset. I found the whole experience of booking with Canopy & Stars a delight - and when I had to reschedule due to a broken bone, they were really helpful and accommodating. I recommend them to everyone and will certainly be booking something again for next year. I already have my eye on something special :)
Fantastic experience: We stayed at the beautiful Plas Bach in Hay on Wye for 2 nights in July. One of our friends recommended Canopy and Stars and we weren't disappointed. Communications from the initial over the phone enquiry to the pre-arrival emails made booking a breeze. The accommodation was everything we looked forward too and more. We will definitely be using Canopy and Stars again.
Fantastic experience: We stayed at the Scorlinch Shepherd's Hut for 3 nights in Devon and it was just lovely!! It was so relaxing and in the middle of nowhere. I would return in a heartbeat!
Fantastic experience: We stayed in the Majestic Bus near Hay-on-Wye for four nights. It was such a magical place and very peaceful and tranquil. Probably one of the nicest places we’ve ever stayed in. We can’t recommend this place enough and would definitely go again! Booking through Canopy and Stars was very simple and easy and very good, useful information was sent to us prior to our arrival. Will definitely be booking with them again.
Fantastic experience: Childhood memories, comforting surroundings and an exquisite hand made wooden building enveloped us with warmth and tranquility for a whole perfect weekend. Fantastic experience: We stayed at a super quirky treehouse in Powys & it was the most magical place we've ever been to. It was secluded with a hot tub overlooking miles of green fields and sheep! The host was lovely enough to provide lots of helpful recommendations including a masseuse who came to make our stay more relaxing! We came back feeling totally refreshed, we loved our stay and would highly recommend Canopy & stars. We can always count on them for our quirky finds and luxury stays!
Negative experience: I recently booked through the site to go to Oakdown Treehouse in Colerne near Bath. It was meant to be a suprise for my husband to celebrate our 5th 'wooden' wedding anniversary. I booked about 2 months in advance of the date. Unfortunately, I then needed to change the date about a month ago. I tried to change the date and was told I could not and that I had lost all my money, £210. I even explained that the reason to change the date was because I needed to have an operation. I suffer from a very painful condition called endometriosis and the stress that this has caused has really affected me. I would not purchase through here again and I am extremely upset by it all.
Hi Samantha, I’m not sure what’s caused the confusion here but we’ve been able to sort this for you! We’d hate anyone to miss out on their holiday, so in these sort of situations we always try and make sure you can revisit on an alternative date for no extra cost (providing we’re able to resell the original dates). I’m pleased to say that as confirmed on the phone earlier; we’ve been able to do that, you haven’t lost any money and you’ll still get to enjoy Oakdown Treehouse. I hope you and your husband have a fantastic anniversary.

Fantastic experience: We have used Canopy and Stars a few times and I can't think of a better site to find an amazing place to stay. The website is easy to use and book and the owners of the properties we have stayed at have always been fabulous. Just back from Lime Treehouse, look it up, it's a wow!
Negative experience: Due to a fault in their system they overcharged me £300 and it took them a week to get the money back into my account. I would not book through this company again.
Hi Jason, once again we're really sorry for the bug that meant you were overcharged. It's not something that’s ever happened before, but we’ve taken steps to make sure it won't happen again. I want to reassure you that we refunded you soon after you told us, unfortunately the bank was not so speedy, damn those processing times. Despite the issue we truly hope you had a brilliant stay.

Fantastic experience: Oh my, Crane 29 did not disappoint! What a truly wonderful, unique and joyful stay we had in Crane 29. Canopy & Stars had done an amazing job, creating a wonderful small, yet very peaceful and cosy space with the help of gorgeous cushions and cutlery etc from Anthropologie. Every idea was clever, from the bird song on a loop on an iPad , to the calming green plants and the fun watering can shower. Comfy marshmallow bed with views and hot water bottle for a toasty night . Delicious hamper for breakfast. My daughter loved her early birthday treat, we hung around in the hammock and watch Bristol go to sleep and then the fun of watching the river and harbour come to life in the morning. Lovely fun cafes nearby in old shipping containers. A really fun unique once-in - a -lifetime treat . Thank you and well done the Crane 29 team .
Fantastic experience: Stayed in a beautiful Canopy and stars tree house last week. The hosts were welcoming and the cake they left delicious! Every little thing was thought of, and the small touches made it feel really luxurious. The breakfast and bath tub were definitely highlights!
Fantastic experience: Can't tell you how much I love this company.... they bring the best of breaks from all around the UK and Europe and they always have the customer at the heart of what they do. We were lucky to stay at Crane 29 which was one of our most memorable nights ever!! So much attention to detail and a wonderful experience. Fantastic experience: Crane 29 is such an amazing place to stay you could just sit in the hammock or on the sofa high up in the tree house built in to a crane and watch the world go by with a feeling of tranquility as you watch over the buzzing Harbourside in Bristol but at the same time feeling like your living amongst nature itself with the beautiful decoration of plants mixed with tree bark made into tables,shelving and a bed making for a comfortable and unique experience.
Fantastic experience: Amazing experiences. Have used Canopy & Stars 3 times and stayed in a cabin, safari tent and tipi. Each stay has been unique, quirky and thoroughly enjoyable. Booked online. Worked well. Great hosts. Would highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: loved it, loved it, loved it
Negative experience: Really awful experience - company doesn't care about the experience of their guests or the environment; their whole ethos is disingenuous and just a facade - they only care about their pockets, allowing owners to cut costs to the point it becomes dangerous. Two weeks after our holiday our dog has had to have five follow up vet appointments costing hundreds of pounds and is still in pain and not healed (due to unsafe, unavoidable access to where we were staying, which was described totally inaccurately on their website, and described as suitable for dogs). There were so many issues including rats, rubbish and broken glass around the camp. The owner also either made up lies to avoid giving us a refund (or if she was telling the truth, the whole site is even worse than we thought). We've reported to trading standards and environmental health.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful, Superb, What an experience, we used to work in Bristol over 30 years ago, now we live in Brittany France. Great to return to a city we love and to stay in this unique place. Great, helpful staff , before and on arrival, Gluten Free breakfast hamper, no trouble. Thank you once again.
Negative experience: we booked a hut with canopy today at 07:24 we were sent an email advising cancellation for non payment - we rang the bank and no request was made - making us call them - the lady laughed at me - certaining not treating customers fairly
Dear Tony, apologies that you found our automatic notification email concerning. We hadn't cancelled your stay, and would never do so without multiple failed attempts to contact you. The email specifically says that for some reason - new card details, divine intervention, good old fashioned technical glitch - we were unable to collect your remaining balance. We then ask you to give us a quick call so we can take the balance manually over the phone.
This is a really efficient process that usually works well for our guests, so we are sorry on this occasion the timing of the automated email and wording was distressing for you. As I'm sure you can imagine, it's important we don't hold dates that haven't been paid for for too long, or the owner could miss the opportunity to sell them to someone else. So we do say after a certain amount of time we'll have to cancel the booking, but obviously this is a last resort and we try to be very clear in our email this is just a notification to contact us.

Fantastic experience: Awesome places to stay, I love these folks
Fantastic experience: We have had a number of holidays with Canopy and Stars and have been left with priceless memories each time. We have had romantic breaks in 'our' shepherds hut in Devon, which is a little piece of heaven in the corner of an orchard, family holidays in a cabin in Sussex and our vintage airstream family holiday where we journeyed back to 1963!!! Each holiday has been unique and we have enjoyed the precious time away and tell everyone about the fab service and amazing people at Canopy and Stars!! Thank you
Negative experience: A lovely looking website with lovely looking accommodation. It's a shame that they "review prices" (i.e. increase them) on a Monday morning when they realise that they have people interested. Yes well done on a successful Facebook advert. However how can you justify the sudden increase in price? We were so excited but now so sad that we won't have our mini-moon with you now :(
