Fantastic experience: Just booked another holiday with Barrhead Travel at union Square Aberdeen with Lauren. This is our 3rd time booking with Lauren and each time she has been very prompt with emails back and forth and extremely patient helping us find our ideal holiday, answering any questions we had and working with us to get it right. Highly recommend.

Negative experience: Went in today to ask about a holiday all excited. Left feeling totally deflated. We had a budget of 6k and the person we spoke to couldn’t even look us in the eye and we felt like a total inconvenience being there. Barely showed us two hotels and then took my email and said he would email more to which we haven’t received anything. Horrendous experience and would never go back. Not one other customer in the shop when we went but understand now why now.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I have booked two holidays through Craig at Barrhead Travel in Aberdeen. On both occasions we had first class customer service. Craig was extremely helpful and gave advice on resorts which he knew from personal experience would be best suited to us. When making our booking Craig was extremely courteous and paid attention to every detail ensuring our travels plans went smoothly. Negative experience: Wouldn’t book again with this company, we booked flights and hotel through them for a holiday to vegas and we weren’t booked onto the right flights!! They confirmed and we paid to change the dates to fly out earlier and we were sent everything in writing with the itinerary. One week before we were due to fly they sent out a new itinerary with the wrong date to fly out, so they hadn’t changed the flights they said they had. We were offered rubbish alternatives and it meant we missed a full day of our holiday.

Fantastic experience: I have been booking my holidays with Lauren from Barrhead for 15 years! Always very helpful and gets me exactly what my family wants! During Covid our Florida holiday was cancelled and Lauren handled everything and had our money refunded without us having to do anything! The paperwork and information provided by Barrhead is fantastic and we have never experienced any problems on any holiday or directly with the team! Recently had to change our 2023 holiday and again done quickly and smoothly! The ability to pay for your holiday and keep check on the balance due online is also a great feature also!

Negative experience: I was in yesterday attracted by an advert on the window about a very affordable package. The guy who was at the desk didn't even invit me to sit and so he gave me quickly 2 dry pieces of information while I was standing. He let me go without doing anything to encourage me to book. He looked demotivated and not interested. I wasn't impressed. Not returning .

Negative experience: How can a company with 900 employees that are due customers money, not supply computers and set them up at home,so more colleagues deal with all the requests for money refunds. That they are legal supposed to refund to all travellers. I think this is a big cop-out so they furlough to get money in, while retaining ours. I have been waiting contact for 6 weeks, and our flight was 3rd April 2020, and not once have we been updated by any Barrhead representative. Companies rely on customers, and we will still be here when things get back to normal. I will be really unsure if ever I would use them again,.

Fantastic experience: Very please with Barrhead. They managed to get us a great deal on a TUI holiday. TUI couldnt match the same lower price

Negative experience: Barrhead booked us into a disgusting hotel in New York. When we returned I immediately contacted them to complain and found their service has been a disgrace. I have had to contact them for a response several times and now I have been passed back to the very Hotel I complained about. They never speak to you they send out letters "assuring us of their best attention at all times". We had a terrible experience in New York in that Hotel it ruined our holiday.

Negative experience: Stay clear of barrhead travel aberdeen they are so much hassle me and a friend went to buy some forgien currency and because I was there they wouldn't let me buy any because it was classed as a joint transaction so now they don't let you visit there store with anyone also we book a holiday to Orlando and when the payment reciept came in the post it had outstanding over two thousand pound because they added park tickets that we had told them plainly in-store we didn't want then we had a load of hassle to get this resolved .too much hassle

Negative experience: Absolutely disgusting the way me and our family have been treated ordered 9 universal Orlando Park tickets and handed piece of paper which states in big righting XXXTHIS IS NOT A VOUCHER XXX and having learning difficulties I was told by Lisa manager whom treated us like filth kept talking over me won’t try whatsoever to resolve the problem except talk over me All the time total left us worried and distressed just before our holiday think I’ll stick with Thomas Cook or best at travel from now on so so disappointed thank To unhelpful Lisa!!!!!!!!!! Attitude disgusting!!!!!!!!!!!

Negative experience: Worst travel agent I have ever dealt with, They will Mis-sell you and then charge you more telling you they are helping you. Avoid at all costs. what they say over the counter means nothing, the confirmation may be different and then you have to pay more to fix it.

Negative experience: Not overly helpful. Looking for assistance booking travel from UK to Switzerland with my dog via train. Turned away immediately and no real suggestions made about who could help me. The travel agent, who was friendly and polite, was not at all knowledgeable in redirecting me.

Fantastic experience: Through a friend's recommendation I decided to use Barrhead Travel to assist in organising a surprise holiday to Dubai and Thailand for my husband's 65th birthday in Feb 2016. It was Jenu that dealt with my many changes in travel dates and hotels and can't praise her enough for her patience in dealing with an extremely indecisive person!! Would and have already recommended Barrhead Travel to others and in particular Jenu. We had a fantastic holiday thanks to her.
