Negative experience: Recently booked a holiday with Golden Ticket / Peter Goord in Plymouth. The holiday was for 9 people at a cost of over £5k. One person had to cancel. I understood I would not get a full refund but asked what the scales were for receiving any refund back. Eventually was told I could get 10% back as I fell into that criteria (£60) in total. Although I could qualify for the 10% I would have to pay a single occupancy for the room, I then explained that the 3rd person in one room could go into that room so its not a single occupancy. She said she would ring me back to confirm. Later when she rang she explained that her manager said i did not qualify afterall as I had early booking discounts when I booked it. I booked it in March 2013 and travel June 2013 and payed the price which was advertised! I asked to speak to the Manager and again he refused and said I wasn't entitled to it even though I fell into the 10% category. I explained that £60 in the great scheme of things isn't a lot but it would help pay towards a couple excursions, still not interested, nor was he interested in customer service or protecting his business reputation. This will be the first and last time I will book with this company. I checked other reviews on trip advisor they say the same, cold and uninterested once they have your money!
