Negative experience: I booked a flight with World Airfares, only to find out after the money left my account that the flight didn’t even exist! They told me I would have to pay even more money to secure a new flight. The customer service was shockingly rude and unprofessional. One representative actually had the nerve to tell me I couldn’t fly on New Year’s Day because I’d be “too hungover” — as a non-drinker, this was not only wildly inaccurate but also deeply offensive. Now I’m left with no flight to see my family over the holiday. It’s clear they are just trying to upsell. Do yourself a favor and avoid this company!

Negative experience: Very dissapointed. Air India changed a return flight and only by chance did I find out. Apparently World Airfares were responsible for informing us, but didn't. I spent many frustrating hours on the phone between Air India and World Airfares sorting it out. I then contacted World Airfares to enquire about upgrading the long haul sections of our journey. They were completely unhelpful, gave false information and eventually quoted over twice what it would have cost if I'd booked with Air India directly!

Fantastic experience: Had a London to Hanoi return via China with China southern. Everything went like a dream having booked with World airfares. I queried why I couldn't see my booking on China southern website, but I was rest assured that when I turn up 3 hours prior to departure that all will be fine, and they were correct. Great service.

Negative experience: I booked a flight and had to change it weeks before the travelling date and had to pay nearly 300 pounds which was almost 50% of the ticket price. Later on, I requested for an adjustment and again they were demanding 300+ pounds. Upon checking with the Airline they confirmed we're charging less than 100 dollars, but they charged me significantly higher than the actual cost. Please stay away from these people. They will not miss any opportunity to take your hard earned money.

Negative experience: DON’T trust World Air Fares, Big Scam!!! They wasted my time and energy. I have booked flight ticket through World Air Fares to travel to India. It was a connection flight from Colombo to India. Sri Lankan air lines notified me that the flight got cancelled the day before departure. World Air Fares emailed and asked me to cancel the booking. World Air Fares informed that I will get my refund within 4-6 weeks. I did call them several times and also emailed, not a proper response. I waited more than two months, no response. World air fares ignored my messages and calls. They totally cheated me and i felt so frustrated. I then made a court claim against the company and the issue was dealt within two weeks time and i received my full refund. DON’T trust World Air Fares, Big Scam!!! They wasted my time and energy.

Negative experience: World Airfare is the most disgusted air ticket agency aver. They made a mistake on one letter of my name and they asked £65 pounds to correct it . I called the airline and they said agency can correct this . After we paid the air tickets we had to call them many times to get air ticket confirmation and e-ticket . Negative experience: Worst travel agent I’ve dealt with, we booked a flight to LA, recieved the tickets then the next day got an email saying they cancelled our tickets to L.A and said they will refund us in an email ( which we still have not recieved) without asking, when we called to ask why and to put us on another flight they lied and told us that flight had been cancelled which was untrue, the women from India we spoke to was very rude, kept lying to us and speaking over me and when we asked to speak to a supervisor she hung up the phone. When we asked to be put on another flight she tried to put us on the same flight for double the price although she told us the flight had been cancelled earlier… very untrustworthy! They way they dealt with cancelling our tickets for no reason has been very disappointing, felt like we were talking to a scam artist, would never go through this travel agent again and make sure none of my family and friends do.

Fantastic experience: Had the most refreshing experience with Jason Francis. I booked a flight and needed to make changes to destination and dates. As soon as I had sent an email request to look into it, Jason had emailed me back with the relevant alternatives and called me straight away to check they were ok. This was late at night in the UK so was very surprised it was handled so quickly. We were back and forth via email for a couple of weeks until my plans were definite and Jason was so helpful booking this for me. Would absolutely recommend anyone using WA and wanting to speak with somebody direct to request Jason, he'll definitely look after you.

They have then taken over 2 days to refund the money and I have remained on hold for 20 minutes unable to contact one of their operators to establish what is going on. Negative experience: Scammers. If you don't have any issue, they work as any other. But if you do, just pray. Because the customer service will do anything in their hands to keep your money regardless of being their fault. To make it even better, somehow they manage to copy wrongly my name so the fly ticket can't be used and they are avoiding all responsibility about it. They mixed names with surname just having to copy paste them (and even having my IDs to check). Avoid them

On 11 December 2023, I booked a ticket from Manchester Airport to Lahore Airport using Skyscanner. Negative experience: They would rather the flight leave with an empty seat than let me change the name on my ticket so that someone else can travel instead of me. Due to unfortunate circumstances I cannot travel on the flight I had booked and I have tried to change the name or get a voucher that I can use when I can travel. However the operator has not offered any options to me. Will not be booking with this company again in the future.

Negative experience: Poor customer service. How can I trust the integrity of a company who's employees do not even use their real names. Spoke to an advisor called "Kane Stonewall", sounds like a name from The Simpsons, the advisor had a thick Indian accent, may not even be based in the UK, massive red flag. The advisor lied to me multiple times on the phone over a price difference and refused to fix the issue. He also told me that their company takes losses on nearly every flight and expected me to believe it. Avoid, use Travel Up, they actually look after their customers.

Negative experience: Extremely disappointed with the customer service. I requested for a change in the flight ticket and haven't received a proper response yet. Interestingly, they booked the tickets from BA and BA said its possible for the agency to make the changes. As per the world airfare agent, the price mentioned was 2 to 3 times of a new flight ticket cost. They agreed to look into other options and get back to me, but nothing happened so far. The only option I have now is to forget about the ticket and book a new one.

Positive experience: They were amongst the cheapest but had the best rating of the ones that came up whilst searching. The flights were very expensive and I was worried about scams. When I got a call from a very thick Indian accent I thought yeah that was a nice 2.5k I had once .... But after checking with the flight operators, everything was sorted correctly, and the flights were indeed real. As such, the service was very good and the price very reasonable. Would have to recommend.

Negative experience: I had a horrendous experience with this company. It was impossible to get a refund on a flight that I had booked the same day as my attempted cancellation. Upon which the phone phone line was down and the 24 hour period that almost all flight companies allow for cancellation was not honored. The customer service when I did receive attention did not acknowledge my calls to the company before the line went down for about 5 hours or the emails I sent asking for help in cancelling my flight and receiving a refund. Look at the website for the airline directly if you find a good price on this page it is likely the same price is featured there and book directly. This was a multi hour experience with no compassion or reward.

Negative experience: I reserved a flight, and not getting the ticket even on the thirdly. They are still holding my amount from 4-Days and continue and not issuing the ticket without any reason. Now the fare has gone up and still are saying that it will take more 3-4 days which is definatly to drage the time. Negative experience: Booked a flight to the Caribbean for a wedding, this got moved outside of my control so requested to have the date changed. Was hit with a cost of £450 just to change a date of a flight to the same location and wouldn't be given a breakdown of this until I insisted and was put on hold for 20 minutes (presumably to discuss what excuse to give as what the cost is for). The new flight was actually cheaper than the original flight which makes this even worse. I understand admin fees may be charged for changing etc but given other people I am flying with who booked directly through BA only paid a slight fare difference and no penalty or tax charges at all I was quite confused. I asked for them to go back and check the charges and all of a sudden the cost to pay is £250 for the exact same flight they were originally changing it to and this was after only an hour.... I am 100% sure I have been scammed and should not have been charged any costs, I only had a few hours until I lost the flight completely so had to take it. They wouldn't provide any statement showing the breakdown of the costs and only sent the 'breakdown' through worded on an email (that is half automated I should add) after requesting it days after having this changed and paying the charge. They make you pay the charge with no invoice or breakdown either and threaten that if you don't pay at that time you will lose the flight. I think I saved £50 booking with these initially, but ended up nearly spending £400 more. I would avoid at all costs. Pay that extra £50 - £100 if you have to via British Airways directly, but any changes with them are dealt with professionally and at no cost. Don't use these at all, just a scam call centre essentially.

Negative experience: Avoid this company at all costs. They do not have a cooling off period at all, even though the airline from whom the tickets are bought, have a 24h cooling off period. Therefore, if you book the incorrect flights or make any errors with the booking info, then you cannot change or cancel your flights for free (even within the normal airline cooling off period who would usually allow you to cancel for free). They offer a reimbursement of the taxes which is around 20% of the ticket price. They also tried to tell me that they have the option to cancel up until 12am the same day of booking but I tried to call several times on the day of booking to change/cancel the flights and could not get through to the customer service. Customer service is also next to useless, so rude and unhelpul. Book with a more reliable company.

After being assured that my booking would be flexible going through an agent, I have been told that in order change just one flight over 7 months in advance it will cost me £500. When asking tor a refund I was offered less than half (£423 out of £1003). Don’t bother booking with them for the slightly cheaper prices as the difference is not huge and booking through an airline direct will provide you with much more flexibility, honest refunds and better customer service. Negative experience: If I could give these 0 stars I would. ABSOLUTE SCAM. We tried to change our £450 flight to a different date which clearly showed the price online as the same. They tried to make us pay an additional £500+ for a new flight when the penalty charge to change was only £200. When I questioned how this could be another £300+ the staff were rude and said that's their prices and that they couldn't help because that's the class of the flight. Negative experience: Be careful, they advertise the ticket with hand luggage, but when you receive the ticket from the company, it only includes an Under Seat Bag, and there is a big difference between the two, including weight and measurements. On their website it says that hand luggage is the same as the regular ones we use for the cabin, but in reality it is a small suitcase that fits under the seat. Bad and horrible service, liars and do nothing to fix the error. I booked a flight through World Airfares from Delhi to London Heathrow via stop at Paris but was not allowed to checkin at the Delhi Airport as transit via France require Transit Visa. No where on the World Airfare site or their booking site it highlighted this transit visa requirements, and was informed by the airlines team when I reached the airport. There was no way to change the ticket, and ended up buying another ticket, and spending 12 hour on the airport. Won't recommend.

Negative experience: Worst experience we've had with a travel agent. They booked our connecting flights too close together so our trip from London to New Zealand was 45 hours instead of 25 hours, with a baby. We tried to get them to help with our return trip a month later, which had the same issue, and they refused to help. They also refused to help with booking bassinet seats and our lost luggage on the flight above. Airlines also use them as an excuse to divert responsibility so you really get stuck. They're cheap but they're a liability and we'll never go near them again, just pay the 10% difference.

Negative experience: I booked my tickets for Dubai with this company which gave me a ticket to present at the departure desk in order to check in, rather than a full checked-in ticket. After a terrible experience at the airport- the flight left 75 minutes before departure without any notice and no one was at the desk gate, so I couldn't exchange my ticket with an appropriate one- I had to rebook my outbound flight. I then found out that this company cancelled also my inbound flight ticket because they said, as I had missed the first flight the inbound flight was automatically cancelled. Obviously, no refund was made available so they simply took the money and did not provide any explanation about why they didn't issue a proper ticket as all the other companies do, and why the inbound flight was cancelled automatically without any notice. This to me seems unacceptable and a real scam, please be aware. My advice is DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY AT ALL.

I used my card processed it and got debited only for me to wake up the next day to an email saying my ticket has been voided cause my bank card didnt pass there checks and i should expect a refund in 3 days. Negative experience: Had a 3 leg flight to (and from) Australia booked for six months. Around a week before travelling I noticed I hadn't had an eticket, so I called and asked for it to be sent. I received, by email a copy of the eticket showing 3 outbound flights on the originally booked date, all good or so I thought. The evening before travelling, I tried to check in online. This failed. I came the airline and they said, it's OK, the agent just hasn't reconfirmed the ticket. I called World Airfairs who told me they were unable to do this as they couldn't contact the airline. They promised a call back at 8am the next morning. At 7am they called, but I was away from my phone and missed the call. I was unable to call back until their offices reopened at 0830. Only then was I told that one leg of my flight had been canceled. The agent said they'd sent an Email to this effect several months ago when this first happened. Needless to say I hadn't received the email, and they'd made no attempt to confirm I had by telephone. The agent rebooked 2 flights the next day, but the third leg hadn't been rebooked. I called again and explained that if they rebooked the third leg for tomorrow that would be acceptable. 30 minutes later I received an email to say all six of my flights had been cancelled! By now the first flight was due to be leaving in around 8 hours. Further calls were unable to resolve the solution, so as I was travelling for a wedding, I was forced to book alternative flights (direct with the airlines) for 48 hours later. This cost me £4k. Had World Airfairs came me to ask why I'd not responded to their email with the rescheduled flights this could have been avoided. (Strangely enough every other email they sent was received no problem! ) Had World Airfairs told me there was a problem when I requested the eticket in the week prior to departure day , this could have been avoided, but they didn't - just sent me an eticket showing original dates. Had World Airfairs rescheduled all 3 legs for the following day , rather than the first two only, this could have been avoided. Had World Airfairs sorted things acceptably on the morning of the original flights, this could have been avoided. But they didn't, they just cancelled all six flights unilaterally. If this is the kind of service you want from an agent then go right ahead.

Negative experience: I wish I could give this travel agency a minus for it's disgusting customer service. When they are in the wrong and cornered they drop the call and play hide and seek for weeks. Our calls are put on speaker and we are passed around from one person to another. Me and my husband were advised we have vouchers valid until summer 2023 but been advised by the airlines that world airfares sold our vouchers! This company lacks integrity and we are escalating the complaint. Please be safe and do not use world airfares. British Airways have nothing good to say about these people and they will soon be off the agent panel. Jason is probably the best person to speak with but nick Spencer and Richard bale are only after their commission. They should shut down. Negative experience: WARNING WARNING WARNING!! DO NOT BOOK YOUR FLIGHTS WITH THIS COMPANY! Booked return flights through this company over a month ago. The airline sent an email few days back saying the flights have been cancelled and we've been put on alternative flights. Airline gave us the options to accept the changes to flight schedule, take vouchers for the cost of the tickets and book future flights (valid for 1 year) or request a full refund. Airline advsied to get in touch with the agents we booked through, in this case World Airfaires. They point blank refused to give us a refund and told us to accept the changes. Will be taking legal steps to get our money back.

Negative experience: Avoid - booked a return flight via this website which was rescheduled and we were not notified causing us to miss our flight. Although I appreciate the rescheduled flight was due to the airline, it lies with ‘World Airfares’ to notify us of any changes. Negative experience: If you are reading this you are searching for good reviews to help in your quest for a good travel agent. Well DO NOT go any further with WORLDAIRFARES. Horrendous experience and very disorganised and dishonest company. Not only did they take me off a flight which they had no reason to, they have failed to re-book a return flight home so now i am stuck abroad. They've asked me to call a London number which costs an arm and a leg and also an email address which they take days to reply and that is no exaggeration. If you have got to the end of this review, please take this seriously. I had two flights booked home. Second leg was cancelled but the airline that cancelled stated in the email the first flight was still active with the other airline. I checked if i still had the reservation with the airline app and i was on that first flight. I then booked a train ticket from the airport home to cover the cancelled flight. It took WORLDAIRFARES two days later to send me an email saying my reservation was cancelled after they 'tried all options'. By not having an email from the airline i was still flying with about cancelled flights, i was still booked on this flight until WORLDAIRFARES told me so. Negative experience: I booked a flight and unfortunately I had to reschedule the journey. Later, I spoke to 2 customer support executives over the phone and checked what are the charges for date change. Both of them confirmed that there are no charges except the difference in fare. Now, when I ask them to go ahead with the booking for the rescheduled date, They are charging me the penalty fees. The support executive now says, though the earlier shared information is recorded, it is incorrect. How could you share the false information multiple times? Also, one another customer care executive on the phone is laughing while I am explaining him the issue, How unprofessional behavior is that to laugh at someone's problem. With the rescheduled date, though the ticket price on the website is £1004, I had to pay them £1196. Also, while the airlines are charging £25 for the penalty, these people charged me £125. The charges are absurd.

I bought £1800 changeable fare so I could have flexibility: I received email confirmation that the ticet was changeable and no time limit on when it can be changed. The aIrline ticket conditions said changes can be made at any point prior to departure. Negative experience: I might have given them more stars if I was going ahead with my trip, but I had an issue cancelling my flight for an urgent matter. I notice the service has changed with dishonesty and misunderstanding within the staff. I kept getting the wrong advice, and they don't call back if you request a manager to get in touch. In the end, I was forced to pay a lot more to change my flight date and its not even direct flight. They play a lot, and I can assure you don't risk your money and time with them just trust the direct airlines.

Negative experience: Never recommend. Turkish Airlines flight got cancelled, and I had a hacker fare which was booked on their website, which apparently meant the the tickets were booked separately. So if Turkish airlines cancelled the flight this isn’t my fault is it? And I ring the agency to tell them I want a refund and they issue me the refund of only one ticket after 10 weeks or so, and tell me they can’t refund me the return? So they are basically money eaters, my whole family had their refund from another travel agency but I couldn’t just cause I booked it with these scammers

Negative experience: Initially thought it was a great company, given me an open ticket as I had to change my flight. Now however, once I want to book my flight met with miscommunication, dishonesty and money hungry travel agents. When trying to book my ticket they’ll ask for my information then end the call. If you do get through to someone ‘willing to help’ any flight which is available on the website isn’t available to you, you can only book the flight that they give you with a fee of over £100 even though initially when given the open ticket a travel agent tells you that once you find a ticket you’d like to book on their website with the same airline you just need to call or email to book the ticket. It’s unprofessional, dishonest and unreliable.

Negative experience: I booked a flight through them to go back home to Kenya on the 11th of October 2021, I then asked to cancel my flight on October the 24th (a month and two weeks before I was meant to fly). A female agent (who I wont name just yet) was supposed to be helping me, she replied saying I could get my refund from British Airways but it would take up to 8 weeks to come through. I said that was fine and then 8 weeks later I did not receive my money back. I have been trying to email her and another agent from the agency and got no response about my refund. It has now been five months since and I still do not have my money back. I just sent an email to her saying I was going to write this review and only then did she reply, telling me to be patient.

Fantastic experience: Could not rate highly enough. I’ve had to cancel flights once because of covid restrictions and again because of having covid. Both times the customer service has been excellent, and the staff have worked hard as the intermediary between myself and the airline.

Fantastic experience: We have been dealing with this company for 3 years now... They couldn't have been more helpful over Covid and all the changes. We have now booked our flights again for Sri Lanka so we thank Jason, Tony & Co... We hope to get to our destination this year and can't recommend World Airfares high enough.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely fantastic service! Will 100% be using them again and would highly recommend. Customer service is quick to reply and can call directly connected to people instead of automated voices. Booking and cancellation really smooth.

Positive experience: At first I was apprehensive in booking with this company as I had never heard of them. They have exceeded my expectations. I am in the process of sorting out a cancelled flight and the team have been fantastic. I have been calling many times and each time staff answer promptly and are very knowledgeable and polite and Special thanks to Jason and Leo. Excellent customer service. Update : Sadly, although finally received the confirmation, I was spoken to quite abruptly after asking to speak to the manager as my husband due to fly the next morning and hadn't received confirmation until 2030 the night before. So giving 4 stars. I understand that maybe staff are working long hours and are stressed with these circumstances too. Overall I would still recommend them, just a pity it ended the way it did.

Fantastic experience: Warren has been brilliant from start to finish. I booked 14 flights through him as one group booking - all different schedules and he was able to get great prices and was always very responsive on email. I will be booking again for sure.
