Negative experience: Appalling customer service and a real 'computer says no' attitude, no ownership taken and blamed the travel provider, no solutions to our issues were given and as a result we cancelled our booking. Fortunately, we had not paid our full balance, however, we did still lose £600. However, on principle due to the way we have been treated, we would rather lose this money than provide Designer travel with our business. We had booked a group holiday with Designer Travel as my friend had used them for many years, but the agent we booked with back in 2023 was out of the office and we had to deal with another agent. We had to make some amendments to the booking and tried to propose a solution only to be told 'no' and we would have to pay over £1000 pounds to change the room configurations, which we have since found out through going directly to the hotel that a significant mark up had been put on our booking, due to changes. It's so disappointing that a company with the longevity that it quotes on its website, is so short sighted and clearly sees no value in customer loyalty.

I am fully aware of your issue and wanting to cancel two members of your party off the bookings. Unfortunately when you reduce the numbers and you are on two bookings flying from different airports, Jet 2 Holidays have to reprice the holidays based on the rooms you had booked. This is the terms of your booking with Jet2. We offered you larger rooms which were more expensive, we offered to move one person to an alternative airport which would have cost you almost nothing extra. We also repriced using the direct hotel rates and flights and we were coming up with costs that were inline with Jet2. We have booked your holiday at the beginning, we have offered alternatives to try and save you money but you have chosen to cancel and lose your deposit of £60 per person. I am so sorry you feel the need to write such a review but we have done everything within our power to sort your booking, we have spend hours not just on booking but on trying to resolve your changes and we have now cancelled at your parties request and have made zero on your booking, we don't keep the £60 per person it has already been paid over to jet 2.

Negative experience: Inflexible, rip off merchants who take zero accountability. Deeply unhelpful to our travel party, not solution-oriented at all and we will not be using them or recommending to others. About as much help as a fart in a spacesuit.

Fantastic experience: Nigel is absolutely first class, he has a wealth of knowledge, is available round the clock to answer your queries. Especially during the COVID testing minefield he is there to guide you through so that you can have a good holiday and don’t have to worry about the admin nightmare I know you are using to put you off going away!! I would recommend this company to anyone. Give them a ring you will not be disappointed.

Fantastic experience: Having used Designer Travel for the last few years for my own holidays, I recommended them to my parents. We booked a few weeks ago for a special holiday next year to celebrate my dads 70th birthday. Unfortunately one of the bookings made was with Thomas Cook who today went in to liquidation. I have to say the customer service received by Colette was exceptional. She had been working tirelessly since 5am this morning, rearranging all her customers travel arrangements. She called my mum this morning and rebooked her with another company and fully explained the refund process that will happen regarding her cancelled booking. This is why we should all use Travel Agents instead of booking online. Thank you designer travel (and Colette in particular) for being so wonderful

Fantastic experience: I have used Designer Travel for a number of years as they have continually offered a highly efficient service, fabulous customer care & extensive knowledge of resorts & hotels which cannot be praised highly enough. Because they are not linked to any of the holiday companies, I know their comments are impartial so I think I get more of an honest view.They are always happy to answer any queries I might have and I have had quite a few! I couldn't recommend them highly enough!
