Fantastic experience: This review is well overdue!!! I went in earlier this year to book a flight to Jamaica in December and honestly it was the easiest process ever, I was helped by Shamena and she was amazing ♥️ They're very adaptable and will work with you to secure what you want. I choose to make payments via bank transfer, but I know going in to pay is an option as well as paying over the phone so again they will work with you to ensure you get what you need/everything runs smoothly. Every time I call to notify I've made a payment, whoever is on the other side of the phone is always pleasant and that just adds to the experience. I've recommended Caribbee to my family and I'll definitely use them for the foreseeable future

Booking with an agent may seem outdated but there are lots of added benefits which people just don’t think about until they run into a problem!
Negative experience: I'm coming on here to express my disgust with this travel agent, and it's a sad pity it's a Caribbean Travel agent, never again will I use the service of Caribbee, very rude and out of order staff, and this is the worst travel agent I booked with. Last autumn I went to St. Lucia, and the customer service was atrocious. The travel agent was very impolite and had no manner's, as soon as I gave over my hard earned money, she was giving a lot of attitude, and she was carrying on like I wasn't allowed to speak to her, and there was a few question's I wanted to ask, but she was carrying on like I weren't allowed to speak, but it's ok, you see how Black people are too damn rude, and they say fellow Black people don't support them, as if I/we owe them anything. But coming to the point, I had to wait for a good 15 month's for my holiday, as it was postponed, I was meant to go in late 2021, but was setback due to covid, I paid £887 for the hotel, and I wasn't offered the breakfast package, so I had to go out and spend my money on food, and that money could've took me out on a couple of extra excursion's. As soon as I arrived at the hotel, I had to pay an insurance fee of $400EC (roughly £160), I was very disgusted and wasn't told about this, if I was told, of course I would've brang an extra £300 for a rainy day. I didn't really enjoy my first ever visit to St. Lucia, but luckily I bumped into a very "Good Samaritan" who offered me excursion's and said he'll get somebody to sort me out with a guest house, so that's very kind of him, and I'll give St. Lucia a second chance, if it weren't for him, I won't have intended to return to St. Lucia anytime soon, due to my very bad experience. One more thing I forgot to mention, the hotel is Bay Gardens Inn located in Rodney Bay, the hotel was decent and the staff were very polite, but the area where the hotel is located, is not suitable for tourist's, anyone going to Rodney Bay, be very careful of hustler's and beggar's hanging outside the Plaza and the KFC, you will get harassed and they won't leave you alone, especially if you're travelling by yourself, they'll take advantage, and another thing, if you're travelling to St. Lucia, be very careful of Vieux Fort, it's a small town near the airport, and try not to pass through there at night, unless you know somebody trustworthy that's driving you past there, a lot of serious crime, such as shooting's, and I wouldn't advise anybody to book a hotel or guest house in Vieux Fort, very dangerous area, but Caribbee won't tell you this, as they're only after your money, never again.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us 5 stars......hmmmm confused!!!.....so in September of 2021 you gave the agent you dealt with a 5 star review hence my comments above, you were supposed to travel in 2021 but delayed it to September 22.A year later something possessed you to "amend" your review to that, that we see now!This raises so many questions, firstly, "rude", not in my office! My staff are never rude and certainly would never have received 5 stars from you initially if they were.Secondly, why did you change your mind?Thirdly why did you wait a whole year to rant?Can you see why I am confused?Your comments certainly don't belong here!

Positive experience: My daughter has used this company in the past when the company was named newmount I'm not sure why they have changed their name but I will try to find out....I am hoping to use them for a family vacation 2024 ....so I called them as I wanted to find out if they can assist me and if they still do a pay monthly scheme for early birds on flights or holiday....the lady I spoke to on the phone was very helpful and she explained that flights were not on the system as yet as we are very early so she asked for my groups details so she can find us flights as soon as they become available which I thought was helpful.
Hello, sorry I don't know your name. Thank you for taking the time to say a little about your experience with us, I do hope we are able to help with your 2024 holidays as soon as the flights are in.
Positive experience: terrible nightmare experience. This organisation handled the booking of two separate flights for me, and on November 26th, they delivered all the paperwork and invoices. When I called again on December 10 to address a deposit error on the bookings, the representative, Shamena, gave me the startling statement that my booking with their company was null and revoked since I had made a duplicate booking with another company. I had already paid these bookings £400 at this point. I made an effort to remain calm and resist panicking, but Shamena only kept saying, "Darling." I'm sorry, but all of the flights have been cancelled on their end, therefore you need to figure out who you called and made the bookings with. When I called British Airways and gave them the booking reference that Edith had supplied, they confirmed that my bookings with Caribbee had been cancelled on the 28th November. Two fresh reservations had been made in my name that I had neither received nor been made aware of. In fact, Shamena was trying to put the responsibility on me for saying I booked the tickets with a different company when they were the ones who erred. I consulted Robert to request a complete refund because I no longer felt secure in my reservation with Caribbee. Robert decided to charge me £75 in fees and claim that I cancelled the booking rather than Caribbee before he accepted their error as they provided me with inaccurate information. He also termed the BA agent inept. He call them foolish, which was inappropriate as BA is the airline booking our flights to Guyana. I am writing this review to inform everyone of the situation. Call your airline and ask about your tickets if you would rather not take my word for it. Edited review: As you can see from the review above, I gave Caribbee a very poor rating; however, after speaking with Edith and Robert in person about all of my worries, we both agreed that there had been some misunderstanding regarding the emails I had received with regard to my receipts. I'm happy to report that I kept my reservations with Caribbee after they assured me that everything is secure and gave me printouts of all paper documents.
Update....Hi Tennicia, Thank you for coming and seeing us and I am happy that you’re happy and that we resolved your concerns.It is very gracious of you to change your 1 star to a 4 star, that’s very kind.Dear Ms Cameron,To deem us as a “terrible nightmare” organisation because you did not get what you want is unfair.You may have also read some of our other reviews, you will know what kind of a company we are and so to resort to a poor Google review because you did not get what you wanted is an incorrect use to the facility.You called and I spoke to you trying to allay your concerns, but I realise that you were not prepared to listen to any explanation. You said that the booking references were wrong and that this was your primary concern and that you now wanted to cancel you booking because you had no faith in this company. You failed to mention that on the 9th of December you made a query and received both of your booking confirmation receipt, the reference was corrected on the 9th of December. You made a call to the office on Saturday the 10th of December and were incorrectly advised. Your call to the office today (12th Dec22) should have alleyed your concerns but it seems that your already decided on your course of action.On the 10th of December our agent did not find your airline reservation which lead her to give incorrect information, we called you this morning to rectify this but as I said above it seems you already had settled on a course of action.Your bookings are still with us and are live and are held on the booking reference given to you on the confirmation receipt of the 9th of December.It is not true that I “termed BA inept” neither did I call them “foolish”.As the booking references are correct, your reasons for cancelling the bookings are unfound and I am afraid the terms and conditions will apply.
Fantastic experience: I have religiously been using another travel agency for the past 20 years and had no problems. I was looking for a flight to Jamaica as usual and went into Caribbee for a price check, as it is 5 minutes from my home. The Consultant name was Tenzing. His customer service was amazing. My original agency was £20 cheaper but the service/efficiency was better. I have returned and booked again. I also left my hand luggage in the airport by accident and Tenzing called me to inform me.

Fantastic experience: I had been buying flights to Jamaica from Caribbee for a number of years and had always been really happy with the service. More recently I have made 3 bookings and again the staff have been really helpful, very patiently seeking out the best deals and matching them to my requirements. After checking out other agencies I have always returned to Caribbee and got a brilliant deal. The staff are cheerful, friendly, helpful and positive. You always know they will find what you want. Most recently I was unable to fly due to vertigo and instead of going back to Caribbee I allowed myself to get scammed and lost even more money. Unbeknown to me Edith worked hard over 4 months and liaised with Virgin Atlantic who have offered me a return flight for one third of the price to make up for my horrid experience. Not many agents would do this, offering after care of this quality. This is what makes Caribbee stand out from the rest.....particularly these days where customer service is so often of poor quality Don't pass them by. They are very good at what they do; fast, efficient, reliable and they willl go the extra mile. One very satisfied customer here!! Thanks to Edith and Shameema for sorting out my latest booking.
Hello Jane, thank you for your detailed review which is great. It is good for prospective clients who are reading reviews to get a good insight into the company. As you have so eloquently pointed out, we continue to work in the background and often without the client knowing to alleviate potential problems or to pre-empt issues that can arise.Fraud is rife and fraudsters are getting evermore sophisticated in their practice. We have see too many clients get caught out and having to pay again for travel arrangements. We have no solution for this problem, clients are always looking for the best value for their money, unfortunately sometimes the temptation is too good and hence the fraudsters win!What I would say is this to anyone who cares to read my replies, ring around for sure, get an idea of what the real costs are, if you get a cost way lower that the legitimate sources then avoid!

Fantastic experience: In order to see the beautiful snow capped mountains in Alaska and the largest Teepee in the world in Canada we used Club Caribbee in May 24 as always to get us there - two destinations tricky flight but as usual they found a way and very reasonably too. We had a wonderful time thanks to Edith, Robert and their team. Thank you !! 2023 - We have been using this lovely family run travel agent for about fifteen years now. Club Caribbee are excellent. We just tell them where we wish to go ( often more than one destination in the trip ) and Edith and her team find the cheapest, best route and flights for us. They have never let us down, are very competitive price wise and do all the work for us. We have had many substantial trips through them including touring the Caribbean and several road trips in the USA. The team are thoughtful, very polite and extremely knowledgeable, they always get back to us with any queries and questions about destinations. We don't use anyone else and we are a little wary of the internet. You must give them a try.

Generally, we don’t do “road trips” but an experienced agent can do a great many things, we thrive on complex Caribbean trips, Island hopping, multi centre holidays and the like!
Fantastic experience: Great experience always! my partner missed his flight and british Airways cancelled the whole £1200 ticket! no refund, not even offered a seat on another flight, not even given the return section of the ticket should he be able to make his way to the UK via other means! but caribee tried their best to get us help and emailed us with updates. many thanks to them. the lesson here is don't fly with British Airways!!!

They have always given me great prices, and the best customer service, a stellar team that goes above and beyond for their customers. A team member that is outstanding is Edith. Fantastic experience: I have been using this company for many years. The customer services that I continuously receive from staff, mainly the Manager Edith is exceptional. There is no other travel agent that could make my travel arrangements as easy and straightforward. When I call the office Edith answers me by my name. She has my phone number and name logged into the system so that she could make the conversation personal. Negative experience: The Worst travel agent ever ,I booked my flight , it was cancelled and they kept my deposit even though the airline cancelled my flight didn't get the £150 of my deposit back would never fly with them again
Hello Tanya, I am sorry you felt it necessary to leave such a review, I promise you we are not the worst agent ever and I do understand your disappointment in losing the deposit, which has been used to pay fees incurred on your behalf, the pandemic has caused a lot of difficulties for everyone, no one came off from the pandemic unscathed. Travel was hit harder than most sectors, airlines, staff, travel and tour operators and the public have all suffered in one way or another. During this time people were stuck abroad, stranded and in severe difficulties, I know we helped a great many clients get back home. Many of those who did not get to travel may have considered themselves lucky!We have kept copious notes regarding bookings affected by covid. You were originally booked to go in September 2020, you called our office twice in July 2020. On both occasions it was explained that the deposit could be used for rebooking at a later date and that any amount over the deposit can be refunded which is what you requested, you were told that you would not get the deposit back. You were also sent an email on the 13th of July 2020 explaining this again. As the pandemic continued, we extended the time by which you needed to come back to us to rebook to the 31 March 2021. In fact, as the pandemic continued we extended the deadline for rebooking up to Sep21 after which time we closed all remaining un-booked files. As a regulated industry we have to account to the authorities for each booking we make or deposit held, this is a laborious task which has been made more difficult due to re-booking over and over again (as many as 6 times) as the pandemic continued. Your booking began in 2019 and would have been accounted for what is effectively 3 years, the last time we heard from you was 18 months ago, at this time we have closed all files as we are unable to carry forward.

Negative experience: I've been using this company for years and always had excellent service but this time I spoke to a new person who was less than efficient! The process of enquiring the price of a trip took about 8 minutes - half of which was me just hanging on an empty line with no explanation and then the final price was ridiculously high. I've since managed to book the trip myself by going directly to the airlines.. and its cheaper!

Fantastic experience: From start to finish Claire was a delight to deal with. She was patient and extremely efficient in finding and booking flights for different family members travelling on different days to a destination that needed two flights, in different directions. We didn't hesitate to get back in touch when a family member came down with Covid. Flights were quickly cancelled and held to re-arrange. Negative experience: Keeping it short. Only was able to provide part of the flight itinerary due to lockdown whilst abroad in March/April . Had to make own arrangements to get back to the UK as they stopped communicating with me. Tried to claim partial payment back but CARIBEE insisted they forfilled their obligations. Unfortunately my credit card company messed up on this and not only made me whole but disappointingly made CARIBEE whole as well. As a foot note beware they charge you the now defunct credit card fee for using a credit card and if like me the person your travelling with has paid and you want to sit with them you will have very little choice if you want Section 75 protecting as offered by credit card. AVIOD —————————————————————————————————————————- In response to CARIBEE reply. 1/ My contract was with yourselves not LIAT (fact in English Law) as mentioned. 2/ It is rich of you to now say you were in contact when I have evidence to prove you did not respond to my messages and I was unable to make phone contact with office. 3/ CARIBEE still fail to acknowledge I PAID them for 4 flights only 3 of those can be said to been forfilled. 4/ CARIBEE are still playing the “look at us and how hard we have had it “! What about me the customer who was stranded abroad ! They have/ should have insurance to cover themselves and therefore claim off them not expect me the customer to pay for a service only partially forfilled! My experience and rating still stands and as I had mentioned in correspondence , I don’t believe my credit card company should have paid back the full amount and would have looked forward with gusto my day in court if it had got to that stage. As it stands I have been made whole as do unfortunately CARIBEE have for providing only 3/4 of the contract.
Dear Mr Bethune,Yours is the first 1 star review given to us during the Corona-19 pandemic, I believe the pandemic is ultimately responsible for your issue, we have been available to our clients throughout the pandemic.I am not entirely surprised by your 1 star review after pursuing a full refund and eventually failing and then unfortunately looking for reprisal.We only accept a credit card for the first £50 deposit, we do not charge a fee, we explain that after the deposit we will not accept credit cards as further payment as we cannot afford to absorb the fee.In terms of your transaction, if you recall, we refused to accept your credit card explaining that the fee was too much for us to absorb as we do not make enough of a margin to cover the cost, you volunteered to pay the fee, that would have been the only way we would have accepted your credit card.Your trip started at the beginning of the pandemic, unfortunately, by the time you were due to return all the flights had been cancelled and borders had begun to close around the world. there were one of over 600 passengers stuck abroad. We were in touch with all our clients stuck abroad, giving them advice, re-booking where we could and being on hand to answer any questions. Furthermore, please note, where many travel operators resorted to emails only, we kept our phone lines open throughout the entire pandemic, at times for no other reason but to deliver the bad news about flights ourselves which I hope you agree shows the level of commitment and care that we put into our work and our clients.Of course, with none of our flights operating we were unable to bring any of our clients back, the only option for many clients were the few rescue flights put on by the local British High Commission or private charters.The pandemic was and continues to be devastating for the travel industry, many airlines around the world have gone out of business, including LIAT who you were booked on for your flight to and from Guyana.We were in office every working day but did not hear from you until you returned to the UK, we were happy to hear that you were able to get back under your own steam, it was unfortunate that we were unable to assist you, not because we did not want to but simply because we couldn’t as commercial options were not available to us. You took the advice of the British High Commission and returned to the UK earlier than your original date. Had you remained in Guyana beyond your return date you would have been on our list of stuck passengers.On your return you asked back for money from the un-flown leg of your journey which we pursued on your behalf, we were advised from the airline that the un-flown segment was utilised in the flight back to the UK and hence they were unable to refund any money. You took it upon yourself to refer the matter to your card company who pursued a full chargeback even though you utilised most of your ticket.As you might expect we defended the chargeback as your claim should be with LIAT’s administrators. Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act is not applicable and it is wrong of you to try to invoke it, Whilst we truly understand how upsetting these things are in general, you must understand how, as your agent, we not responsible for the failure of the carrier, if you had bought shares and lost money on an investment, the broker is not responsible, it’s a similar thing.I am sorry that LIAT went out of business, it has affected thousands of people who have lost money and thousands more who are unable to travel as before, it is a big loss for the Caribbean and its peoples, such is the devastating effect of the pandemic. Unfortunately, our suffering is far from over I think!

Dear Marilyn, Thank you for the years of booking with us. Covid-19 has caused so many problems and has affected everyone! People have been stuck in the Caribbean for nearly 6 months, Guyana (not strictly Caribbean, but almost) being one of the most difficult places to get to and from. After we learnt that LIAT were not going to resume we had over 100 passengers stuck in Guyana and no rescue flights on the horizon so we put our own on , so far we have brought back around 80 passengers. It does take a great deal of work and a dedicated team, luckily we have such a team as you know. It very kind to give us 5 stars, thank you.
Fantastic experience: I had a the best experience with this travel agent. I can say they put my mind at rest, found me a flight when it was near to impossible, assisted with getting my PCR test.
