Fantastic experience: Came in to the store to have a better understanding after going to other travel agents. Met with Natasha, who was so lovely can I add, and she went through various places, as well as gave recommendations of stuff to do and areas that go with what we wanted to do. Had an amazing experience and ended up booking a very amazing trip for our honeymoon! The deal was incredible. And Natasha made it so easy and comfortable to get exactly what we want!! Would highly recommend the store after not having as good of an experience for our honeymoon holiday elsewhere. And a big part of that was Natasha!

Negative experience: Unfortunately this is going to be a very hefty complaint. I visited the virgin shop in meadowhall at the start of the year having no knowledge of long haul flights. I was sold an absolute dream of a resort in Mexico bed and breakfast. Only to be told by another travel agent a month before we fly that we should have never been sold bed and breakfast for Mexico as it’s unheard of. We feel that the travel agent who sold us this was either misinformed themselves or was very experienced to charge £1,600 to two girls looking for a holiday. The process of filing a complaint with virgin was horrendous after constantly been passed between different staff members and stores. After finally getting in touch with the regional manager we were offered a solution to move hotels for a fee. A fee I don’t believe we should have paid after being mislead regarding the holiday we were sold. It would seem after speaking to multiple staff that no one has any idea of their owns policy’s as different information was given at different points. Due to all this previous stress the person I was due to travel with no longer wished to go. So then I had the added stress of changing the passenger. I was quoted online that it was around £200 to change the whole flight as virgin don’t deal with name changes. I wasn’t told that I had to commit to this that day as the flights were due to be ‘ticketed’ the following day. What this means I still don’t know. The flight then went to over £1,000 and we were told that the original passenger would lose the cost of the flight as it has been ‘ticketed’ and receive around £700 refund for the hotel had we cancelled the hotel and re booked under the other passengers name. This is because we were in the window of losing 70% of the cost. So if we cancelled the hotel and re booked instead of changing the passenger name, the original passenger was due to get some of the refund from the hotel. We clarified this several times as we were so confused by this point and had been sat in the store for over two hours. Why we had to do this I still don’t understand as it’s a package holiday we were sold. After confirming all this we were then told the other passenger due to fly had to now not only pay for a flight change, but also the cost of the hotel. To add to that, we were told this after they had re booked the flight with the second passenger. Leaving us feeling like we had no choice now but to pay what we were being told we had to pay. I have never experienced a travel agent charging the price of a booking a hotel for ten nights as a ‘name change’ with an added £56 on top. It worked out that the original passenger now has received zero refund and instead the second passenger has paid the total of the original holiday plus extra. Virgin now have had a total over £4,000 out of us and the way we have been treated after booking is truly awful. The customer service is one of the worst Iv experienced to say the reputation virgin is supposed to have. I will say the regional manager was lovely to speak with and the most helpful. I really regret having to write this review, but I am so fed up of having overpaid and being left confused and upset by what’s happened. Id also like to add that I asked for transcripts of the live chats emailed to me so I’d have proof of what Iv been told and when, only to be told that they were unable to give it to me as they happened when the other passenger was on the booking despite the fact I am now the lead passenger and have always been on the booking. To finalise my complaint, I would like in writing exactly why we have been charged what we have with policy’s in writing to back it up as I truly don’t believe that what has happened to my booking is correct. I will never book with Virgin again due to how I’ve been treated and I will ensure to let my peers and social media know about this too. I await your response.’
Negative experience: Recently spent close to £20k on a family holiday, they neglected to tell us that the company would then want to charge us over £600 to Sir together as a family. The sort of thing expected of budget airlines, not when you've spent this amount on a holiday.
Fantastic experience: Visited to look for a family holiday to the Caribbean. Felt very welcome and fantastic service from Natasha. She was very patient and provided exceptional service, so much.. we are off to Jamaica. Would definitely recommend visiting Natasha and the team if you are looking for a dream holiday.

Negative experience: Our experience with virgin holidays has been horrendous I'd never book with them again we booked a Florida holiday last yr for this yr, we didn't know where we were staying until the day before we went I phoned several times to ask about the holiday or about our Disney tickets only to be told they don't deal with the Disney side of things yet they specialise in Disney holidays , whilst on holiday we had planned to go in Disney on 30th and 31st for Halloween, we got turned away cos it hadn't been book so we lost 2 days in Disney due to this but we paid for 14 day park hopper tickets we were never contacted by virgin to tell us Halloween was an extra cost so we didn't know needless to say we didn't get in for it never again will I trust our holiday with virgin it cost us 10.5k but was money wasted, the only good thing I can say is that the villa was lovely

Positive experience: All good until you have an issue. Booked through these quite a few times and never had any issues before, except now we have an issue the store say they can’t (read don’t) want to deal with it and have fobbed us off to the phone lines to get it sorted. Seems they’re very accommodating whilst you’re booking and they’re getting your money but once they’ve got it you’re on your own. Think we spoke to Nisha she didn’t have a badge on and was only identified by another member of staff but she was very abrupt and not at all like the usual friendly staff we have dealt with before. She needs to maybe be sent on a training course so that she can start showing some empathy and a bit of compassion to people who have spent a lot of money and are rightfully upset when a problem has arisen with their holiday, quite honestly she couldn’t get us out of there fast enough. Sadly will be booking elsewhere in future because of this experience.
Fantastic experience: We visited virgin holidays in meadowhall today 14/4/23, we was seen by a lovely lady called Natasha, she was a delight, we spent quite a bit of time in there planning our holiday, she was so lovely and helpful, we also enjoyed our cup of tea she made for us while we had a bit of family chat to finalise the holiday details and our young son especially loved the chocolate and the virgin bag, we went ahead and booked our holiday, it's definitely better doing it in store face to face, we will definitely be back to book future trips too.
Fantastic experience: Fabulous service 5 star - we stopped by literally 30 mins before they closed to book a last minute weekend away to New York. Alison looked after us and booked us a great package with everything taken care of, our experience was 5 star well done Virgin Meadowhall.

The 2 gorgeous ladies couldn’t have been more helpful, friendly and accommodating! Even when I came back 20mins after booking in a panic because I forgot we were already away for the days I’d booked; they changed it hassle free straight away! We will definitely be booking our trips through them in the future, especially being frequent travellers this is the best service from a travel agent I have ever received. Firstly my dream holiday to Florida was cancelled due to covid 2 weeks before travel (I know we have all been through this and accept it) however I was then asked for another £7000 to go on the exact same holiday the year after I politely declined and was then issued a voucher attached to my booking ref (never actually received the voucher to look at) gone in to book a New York break and told its out of date as it had to be used before 30th September 2022 although there is no voucher for me to check this and I was told I had until April to use it. I have been in store twice to be told someone will call me back no one has I’ve called call centre 3 time after a 15 minute wait each time they disconnect the call . Do not book with virgin I wish I had read the reviews before hand and booked with Tui

Not the travel agents fault of course. Imagine someone from say, Hertfordshire being told to travel to Manchester. OMG has the world lost its sense's

I recently had an issue ( not virgins fault) that they really helped me with. Danusha and javea (sorry if the names have been spelt wrong) really went out their way to resolve it and make sure everything went as smoothly as possible. All In all a great team at virgin Meadowhall. Already booked our next trip. Thank you virgin atlantic.

Negative experience: Booked a holiday here and they were so helpful until it came to leaving the shop which we was left to deal with all our problems by ourselves . While booking here we did not get offered Extra leg room , did not get told what happens when we land to our first destination if we need to get our luggage and check in again for our final destination or not. We have left many many voicemails , tried to call the head office and yet we still don’t have any answers to when can book our seats , how to apply for visa’s or our luggage situation
Negative experience: I've never left a store feeling so demoralised. Probably the worst customer experience I've ever had. We entered the store to try to make an amendment to our holiday after world events meant we could no longer travel to our destination. The staff member who dealt with us treated us with utter contempt and made up any old excuse to get rid of us as they clearly didn't want to deal with us and wanted to spend their time hanging about with the stormtroopers parading outside for the passing children instead. She was incredibly rude from the offset and straight up lied to us about what could be done about our booking. These lies were confirmed after discussing with staff at another virgin holiday store. Really disappointing from a company like Virgin. Avoid this store.
Fantastic experience: I’ve dealt with many of the staff here and they are all wonderfully friendly and helpful. This has resulted in repeat booking and recommendations to my friends who have, in turn, had the same brilliant service.
