We booked our tour last minute and Barry was able to accommodate us, taking us to many beautiful areas on the way to The Giant Causeway and also on the way back to Belfast. Fantastic experience: Our tour with Paula was wonderful! She was so friendly and knowledgeable! She really took our lead on how deep we wanted to go into the Irish history and she was patient and pleasant while we explored a castle, multiple Game of Thrones filming locations and both the rope bridge and Giants Causeway. She was a great and safe driver and we were comfortable all day. (Except for the rain, but if you can’t handle getting a little wet, Ireland isn’t for you!) Fantastic experience: I booked an 8 hour tour to the Giant’s Causeway for my parents (in 70s) and for my son (15). Paula was very attentive and kind! She made sure I knew exactly where they were and what was coming ahead by texting me at each stop. She was also very knowledgeable about the sightseeing spots and she also had prepared water bottles for them after a long walk at the Rope Bridge. A 10! Highly recommended. I myself had taken a group tour to the Giant’s Causeway in March and felt that group tours don’t let you see the spots thoroughly. Thanks to Paula, my parents and son’s experience was so much different from mine and they enjoyed every bit of it ! All the staffs were also very timely on responding to my emails. Fantastic experience: We had a great day with our guide Barry. On the ride to the incredible natural beauty that is Ireland, he gave us great historical background and colorful commentary on the history of the area and Ireland itself. The Giant Causway is unlike anything I have ever seen. The rope bridge is a must do on this adventure. There were fun hikes to get to theses great natural wonders.

Fantastic experience: Paula was our guide for an excellent tour of the Antrim Coast (Belfast to Derry). In between the breathtaking stops at Carrickfergus Castle, the Carrick-a-Rede, the Giants Causeway, and Dunluce Castle, Paula shared info on Ireland’s history, culture, and perspective on more recent situations (The Troubles). We really loved hearing stories of her life in Northern Ireland. She was genuine, warm, and funny. It was a wonderful experience!

Fantastic experience: Barry led us on a fascinating visit to Derry. His knowledge of and passion for Irish history made the experience very memorable. In addition to the fascinating walk through the Free Derry Museum and surrounding neighborhood, Barry located a church to visit where my ancestor was baptized. A visit to the ring fort of Grianan Of Aileach capped off a very meaningful tour. It was a great day and a very personalized experience. The Navan Fort was informative and interactive and seeing Armagh's sites and learning its history was particularly interesting. Fantastic experience: We had Barry all afternoon for an Antrim Coast tour out of Belfast during our UK cruise, and it was excellent Barry met us at the cruise terminal, messaging us with tips on how to get around the shuttle lines. He then asked what our priorities were, verified what time we had to be back, and offered suggestions. Once he knew I was interested in photography, he found spots to take some nice shots. Barry made several 'extra' stops not on our list as we made good time at each of our stops. He took some pictures of us as well! Barry is a true Irishman! He's full of historical knowledge and shared interesting info and answered questions along the way. It was an excellent day. I feel I saw all the best of the Antrim coast, and then some, and got a good feel for Northern Ireland.

Fantastic experience: We booked the north coast tour with Giant’s Causeway. Nigel was our guide and he was fantastic. Very knowledgeable about the area and a wealth of information about the history of the region and explained the origin of the Troubles with a very balanced approach. Nigel was very flexible with regard to what we wanted to see and our style of sightseeing. I recommend to limit the scope of your plans because it takes longer to move around the area than it may seem it would. Northern Ireland is beautiful and the people friendly and welcoming. We booked this tour very early but received an email confirming the dates and tour location. The email also indicated we would be contacted just before the date to confirm the time and location of the meeting. As promised we were contacted the day before and everything unfolded as described. So be patient and know your tour is on their books and will move along smoothly. We would recommend this company and Nigel particularly to any of our family and friends; please book with absolute confidence.

Fantastic experience: We had a fantastic time on the Ireland tour! It's the best way to experience the beauty of the Belfast area in just one day. Our guide, Ossie, was a true treasure trove of knowledge and shared incredible tips that helped us maximize our one-day shore excursion. Even after the tour, Ossie went the extra mile, showing us more downtown landmarks like the Titanic Museum and shipyard. I would highly recommend this tour to everyone, especially if you want to cover a lot of ground in a short time.

Fantastic experience: Fabulous time with Barry on the Antrim Coast Private Tour – a really full day of fun! Went to Northern Ireland at the end of June with two friends who were visiting me from the US. All of us have various mobility issues, especially Rick who requires the use of a walker. And, Barry was brilliant providing assistance and making us all feel comfortable, couldn’t have been more accommodating. We were able to do and see things that wouldn’t have been possible without a personal guide/driver – all pleasure and no hassle! Barry was also well versed in the local history and all the points of interest and had loads of information to share – with a great wit. We really enjoyed the great company. I’m really thankful as my guests had a great time and were impressed by my planning for them. Would definitely do the same again.

Fantastic experience: Great tour by Barry, very proactive and communicative. He’s a great host for his country. We had very nice weather almost all day. Unfortunately, wind was a bit too strong to cross the rope bridges, but Barry made a big effort on making it up to us. We had enough time to see the murals in Belfast, even when it was not included in the tour. My family and I had a great time and would recommend this tour to anybody… 10 out of 10!!!

Fantastic experience: Barry McCann is an amazing tour guide, especially if you have a real interest in historical accounts and “insider” info about The Troubles. He is a passionate story teller. He guided us (two active senior couples) not only at Giant’s Causeway, but also in Derry. On another day, he patiently allowed my husband to search for ancestors and toured just the two of us around the St. Patrick’s Monument area, south of Belfast. He’s very flexible with schedules and his agenda and never rushed us or refused to stop “just one more place.” When we return to Northern Ureland, we hope to engage Barry for our entire trip!

Fantastic experience: What can I say that 114 other 5-star reviews haven't yet? Barry was a pleasure to hang out with for the day. Funny, informative, and easy to be around. And also gives his tour guests plenty of time to themselves to enjoy the beautiful spaces. A private tour like this can be quite a bit more expensive than a larger group tour. But if you're in the fortunate position to be considering this - do it! The access, convenience, and comfort are totally worth it.

Fantastic experience: Great trip with Barry - driving up the Shankhill and Falls Road (and crossing the peace-line) enabled us to understand a bit more about divisions between the communities in Northern Ireland which are still very much in evidence, though thankfully the violence has gone (for the most part). Particularly poignant were the murals and the many places of remembrance which highlight the pain and grief arising from the troubles which is still clearly heartfelt. I hope there can be a gradual reconciliation but clearly there is a long way to go. Thanks to Barry our driver/guide for a really memorable and thought-provoking taxi tour.

Fantastic experience: The Taxi Tour was an unforgettable experience. Barry was a brilliant guide. A self-confessed atheist, his knowledge of the Troubles was delivered with wisdom, pathos, humour and such balanced impartiality it was impossible to guage which side of the divide he was originally from. Fantastic experience: Had a fantastic private tour with Barry of the Giants Causeway and nearby attractions. We are a family of 5 with two young kids, so Barry arranged carseats for us and brought snacks and drinks for the ride. Everything was terrific and we saw incredible scenery and countryside in Ireland. Barry gave us lots of information about the history of the places we passed through and Northern Ireland in general which was really fascinating, we all learned a lot. My 5 and 6 year old said this trip was their favorite outing in our entire vacation in Ireland and I agree. Fantastic experience: I did a private tour of the Antrim coast with Barry with two other friends. Barry was super receptive to our needs, staying in Bushmills in the morning and being dropped off at Belfast by the end of the tour. He took us to places I wouldn’t have planned or known about, and even managed to squeeze in a drive by tour of Belfast. Barry was extremely flexible and friendly and we owe him many thanks for our tour of the Antrim Coast.

Fantastic experience: We took to Game of thrones tour. John was our tour driver. He was amazing. Very informative and knowledgeable about the area. It was all about what we wanted. Toilets, food, where to visit. He told us how much the attractions cost, whether we had to book, what websites to go onto. We didn't get everything done on the tour because we took so long at the places we visited. That was down to us because we didn't want to rush. We asked lots of questions along our journey. He was chatty, helpful and gave us lots of background information and also gave us totally random information that was really interesting and funny. He told us how long the drive was to each of the attractions we visited. We didn't have to worry about driving, parking, queueing, taking the wrong turn, it took so much pressure off us so we could enjoy the day instead. Would definitely recommend.

His knowledge was amazing and he answered all our questions. He looked after us all day showing us a great pub for lunch and the highest pub in Ireland for a quick drink on the way home. Fantastic experience: The private tour to Derry was just the perfect choice to see a little bit more of Ireland and really learn its history. We didn't know what to expect, we had seen most of the attractions near Belfast already, so this was no disappointment at all. Barry our driver/guide picked us up at the Cruise Port at the agreed time, he was very knowledgeable, really knows the history of Ireland, the good, the bad, the wars, everything, he has many photos and visual aids to help you understand everything that happened in the town of Derry and in all of that part of Ireland. It was a well paced tour, even for my father who has its walking difficulties, Barry was always very accommodating bringing the car to us so he would not walk too far. We first saw the murals around the town, then we visited the museum that was well worth it, the Bloody Sunday Memorial, later went to the walled part of the city, saw the Guildhall, Peace flame, Peace Bridge and walked a bit in the town walls. Finished with lunch at the oldest pub in town The River Inn, which dates back to the 1680's, which offers very nice selection of food and drinks at a very good price. Overall a really good tour, well worth your while if you have seen all other attractions around Belfast and want to go deeper into Irish history, also with the best guide you could get. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: We had a private tour of part of Belfast and then onto Strangford lough. After we had crossed the lough we stopped for lunch then went onto see some of the locations used in Game of Thrones. We then travelled on to see Saint Partricks statue and grave and the site of the first Christian Church in Ireland. Our tour guide for the day was Barry who was a fountain of knowledge about the area we travelled through and about the history of Ireland. We would recommend using Barry as your tour guide anytime. The whole day was a fantastic experience.

Fantastic experience: Lovely tour by Allen's tours in Belfast. Our driver Lindsey was very funny and very informative. Gave us enough time at every stop to take poctures. Kept telling us stories about the historical sites. The bus was comfortable. The price was the cheapest amongst all the competitors and the bus leaves at 9:30 am which is the latest.

Fantastic experience: Earlier today, Barry our Tour Guide, an absolute gentleman, collected my partner and I from our accommodation in Belfast city. From the beginning Barry explained where he was going to take us and what we would see. The history of our ancestors from the time the Celts came to settle in Ireland to the time Oliver Cromwell traveled from England to invade and take over Ireland causing murder and mayhem in the 9 months he spent here. From Wolfe Tone to the freedom fighters in the 1916 Rising to the courageous Hunger Strikers in the early 1980's, we were brought through hundreds of years of the Irish struggle to have freedom in the country they were born into. Barry brought us through the War inflicted on Northern Ireland by Britain commencing in August 1969 where he shared the suffering and trauma experienced by most if not all families born in the 6 counties in Northern Ireland. Growing up during that period we could see has clearly left its mark on the lives of all who live here. We were brought through the Falls Road and parts of the Shankhill area which are separated by The Peace Wall which is approx 2 miles long. Never before had we seen first hand such an indepth history of the country we are part of but separated from. We came away 90 minutes later with a more profound admiration for people trying to live in peace having been forced through 30 years of trauma and suffering. Peace to you and yours Barry.

Fantastic experience: What a great tour and a wonderful tour guide. There was seven of us in the vehicle which was spacious and comfortable. Michael was funny and full of stories. He accommodated our requests for an early coffee break & picnic lunch. Added alot of little extras that enhanced our adventures. Thank you for driving in all those tight spots on the road. Fantastic experience: We were picked up from the cruise terminal directly. Had a fab day with Niall at the helm in his super luxury vehicle. He was totally accommodating and welcoming and kept us entertained with his impressions and tales from Belfast. Genuinely nice and very patient guy. Missed his lunch while he waited for hours at Giants Causeway for us as we just couldn’t stop taking photos!! Learnt a lot about Belfast and its struggles too. Back nice and early for our cruise departure. Thoroughly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Barry is a MIST DO if visiting Belfast. We spent the day with him and are so much richer in knowledge of the history and a sense of the strong current community! He is a wealth of information to fin small details to the broad spectrum - things I can’t seem to gleam from books. So meaningful for me but also so grateful that my teenager could soak in the day and understand. We also visited a wonderful pub and had a delightful lunch. I highly recommend this fabulous tour with Barry, we didn’t want the day to end!!! ☘️

His knowledge and insight was second to none on the past troubles in Belfast. Very sad some of the stories , but going on this tour I learned a lot that I didn’t know . Fantastic experience: I really liked it, the feeling is indescribable, I will definitely go again. I explored everywhere. Entrance is free, you just need to go right after the bridge if you want to start from below and climb up, or if you want to start from the top, then choose the path to the hill and then you will climb up and finish below the bridges. I came from the bottom, so the view and that feeling always rose up, it was uplifting... An indescribable feeling, next time I will start from the top... But I have no doubt that if you are here for the first time, you should choose to go from the bottom to the top, because others started from the top, so that 'nothing special' description I completely do not understand... so I think I made a good choice for my first time. I recommend it, well if you want to pay you can go inside, then you'll see the museum, a bit of information about the Giant's Causeway, I haven't been there because I took the information that it's free...
