Fantastic experience: Absolutely top of class bike tour! Cecil was fabulous from beginning to end. Very communicative in setting up our tour, he was helpful and gracious as we navigated the special needs of our family. Then during the tour itself he was wonderfully informative and engaging, highlighting a variety of York and bringing this remarkable area to life. He never tired of our questions, and we left feeling a shared appreciation for York and for Cecil. One of the highlights to our trip to the UK!

The cycling part is safe and I dare to say is suitable for any person that can ride a bike, York is very flat so you don’t get tired. If I ever return to York I will repeat the experience. Fantastic experience: We always do a cycle tour in cities we visit and this one was one of the very best, Cecil made it a great experience. Fantastic experience: This was an amazing tour! Cecil was funny, personable and very knowledgable about the history of York. The vast majority of the roads were either cycling paths and low traffic roads so cycling felt safe. We would definitely recommend this!

Fantastic experience: Cecil accommodated our special needs and customized an amazing tour of York for us. He showed us so many interesting landmarks and shared local stories, giving us a fabulous taste of York’s many unique historical and cultural treasures. Although we only spent one day with him, it’s clear that he is a top notch hospitable gentleman, and a considerate friendly neighbor, well liked by locals.

Fantastic experience: We have lived in York for 24 years but learned so much on this tour. Locals know the best way to move around York is by bike and Cecil's tour is fantastic. This is by no means a strenuous bike ride, it is gently paced with frequent stops as Cecil passes on his wealth of knowledge. The stories and facts are really interesting as well as interactive and never too long. The tour takes in areas of York you are unlikely to stumble across by chance and Cecil passes on the best parts to see when you are back on foot. This is well worthy of the 5 stars. It should really have an extra one for starting and finishing at Brew York!

Fantastic experience: Had a tour today with Cecil. It was a brilliant way to spend a morning and I’d recommend it to anyone visiting York. I’ve been here many times previously but it was so nice having a knowledgeable cyclist to guide us around and tell us about the history. It was great to see the city from the saddle.

Fantastic experience: Really enjoyed the bike tour. Cecil gave us such a brilliant tour of the city, inside and outside the walls. Cecil provides wonderful historic and entertaining tales of York throughout the bike tour, stopping to take in all the sites. I would recommend this to anyone thinking of visiting York.

Fantastic experience: What a fabulous morning!! Theres so much to say about Cecil the guide. He was superb, friendly, fantastic local knowledge and provided us with really good quality tour bikes. We biked around the City and visited all the major landmarks with stops to learn on the way. What great way to understand the depth of history in York. It also helped us to decide what to explore thereafter. Well worth the price and great to do if on a time schedule. Fantastic experience: This was on our "to do" list for years so I'm so glad we did it! Cecil is a fantastic guide and welcomed us warmly even though we were the only customers on a cold November weekend. The bikes were already set up and so Cecil quickly got us ready and we were off! York is a perfect city to cycle in and has a thriving cycling culture already so we felt at home straight away. Cecil told us lots of interesting and often humorous anecdotes about this amazing city and as their tag line says, it really is at 1000 years per hour! The time just flew by and we felt safe and well looked after under the guidance of Cecil. We even saw the remnants of the Kings egg(shell)... At the end we had a quick beer back at the base which is a really vibrant part of the city at Brew York, highly recommended thanks Cecil! :)

Fantastic experience: Just spent a wkd in York with 5 girlfriends and we did this tour on the Saturday morning with Cecil as our guide. The tour was super interesting and fun and active while still being quite chilled. Cecil is a lovely guy who is obvs very knowledgeable about lovely York history. We had a great laugh and would highly recommend this tour.

Fantastic experience: My sister and I had a wonderful time on our cycling tour with Andrew. He was very knowledgeable about local history, personable, patient, and charming. I forgot my sunglasses and he changed the route so we could stop by my hotel and get them. He even helped us out with picture taking throughout the bike tour. The bikes themselves were only a few months old and very easy to ride. I would highly recommend this bike tour to anyone!! Connie H. California USA
