Negative experience: Buyer Beware .. Unfortuantely they falsely advertise their services- We recently purchased a volunteer trip to Costa Rica, the brochure on the website adsvertised " interactions with Sloths" and various roles that would be expected, which on arrival was told this is not the case. The volunteers are only allowed interact with them after 3 months. Little or nothing was done regarding our request to leave on day 3, or substitute with another trip or a refund. On day 7/9 a manager was involved which is too late on a 14 day trip .In edition a wild dog bit a volunteer and nothong was done to resolve or seek medical help. Do not sign up for this with Global or at least ensure you are adquately aware of what you will and won''t do on the trip.

Fantastic experience: Just arrived in London and had my orientation. Kirsty was extremely informative and helpful. She set up my bank appointments, sim card and everything else I that I was worried about before moving here.

Fantastic experience: Global work and travel co have been amazing from start to finish- everyone has been incredibly helpful and genuinely excited for our new adventure! It has been such a huge relief to know that everything has been sorted for us andthat we have support for the entire duration of time here, especially after travelling through Europe and coming over a bit exhausted. Fantastic experience: Arriving here and finding the hostel was all very easy! After our orientation we feel so much more comfortable and safe and like we have support whenever we need. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming and happy to help whenever they can.

Negative experience: I have a close friend who paid $8000 to use their service in the UK and was left without a job and without accommodation within a week of her arrival with no follow up support or re-homing service. This is a scam, do not use them.

Positive experience: Once you book onto a trip you get a call the next day to check for eligibility and to take payment. I had Millie as my trip coordinator she had an enthusiastic personality so I enjoyed working with her to get me ready for my trip. She left half way through the trip organisation to follow a new career path so I got Ross! His been brilliant. His professional, updates me regularly, answers all questions and I can always call if I have any questions. I couldn’t have asked for a better coordinator than Ross. His exceeded my expectations of the global work & travel. Pros: - I have felt very well supported to plan my trip. - Gworld has all your documents organised well. - I was supported with my resume as it needed some extra work! Cons: - limited training opportunities. So you do have to be open minded with areas that may not necessary be your first choice. - It is very costly to book on to an internship or working holiday & as a young professional I have had to use / save some money up to be able to afford it. You also need some money saved up for your arrival especially if your trip does not include accommodation. - You do enquire extra prices along the way that are not included aswell e.g. flights, police record, visa fee. I think the ACRO and visa fee should perhaps be included.

Fantastic experience: Global has been great, every ran smoothly and made my dream trip happen all the way to Australia. I would 100 percent recommend them to anyone, they look after you every step of the way till landing and then further help in Australia, srtting up bank account, tax etc... im on 3rd day in Australia and im loving it.

Fantastic experience: I did the Sea Turtle Conservation Project in Costa Rica for one month and I had an amazing time! Kailah Kearns was assigned as my Trip Coordinator close to my departure because my original Coordinator got promoted. Kailah made me feel so confident in travelling solo and was the most helpful person along the way. She was ready and willing to help me sort out any problems and make me feel at ease especially because it was my first time traveling alone. I have to recognize her because she did an amazing job and I will definitely request her again if I travel with Global Work and Travel again! Thank you Kailah :))

Fantastic experience: I was absolutely so scared as I have never done anything like this before and super skeptical. however though global goes above and beyond and I had an amazing travel concierge named Stacey and she is the most kindest person and answered all my questions all my Phone calls was so patient with me would 10/10 recommend her to anyone she assured me and helped so much with my nerves making more excited got my trip. Will definitely book with them again

Fantastic experience: I signed up with Global Work & Travel last year during peak COVID and they have been nothing but amazingly helpful, kind, considerate, informative and just everything you’d want in a Travel Agent. I 100% recommend using Global Work & Travel for any overseas trips that include working or studying. I will definitely use them again in the future. Fantastic experience: I found Global Work and Travel randomly one day on google and since I decided I wanted to go on an adventure they've been very helpful and supportive the whole way, from answering any and every question I had to booking everything for me and getting me a job interview. They are prompt and very good at checking in with you along your journey and letting you know they are there for you continuously. Thank you Global Work and Travel! I would recommend these guys! ^^

Positive experience: Once I touched down in the UK Global was there to help. The orientation was a breath of fresh air. It gave me all the confidence needed to begin my new life in the UK.

Positive experience: I think they did a really good job being helpful. The negative is that they try to talk you into buying things you don't really need. For example, don't pay them to book your airline ticket. Just book it yourself. It's sooo much cheaper! I learned that the hard way. Other than that, they are very friendly and are quick to respond to questions :)

Positive experience: My experience has been great so far with my teaching english program in Spain. My coordinator Hayden has been amazing being on top of things and helping me every step of the way so I really appreciate the accountability! I would say in terms of getting people to sign up, it would be less pressure if Global didn't call the person so many times in the beginning to putting in the deposit. Other than that, everything worked out smoothly for me!

Positive experience: Both Nichola and Kieran at Global Work and Travel have made planning my whole trip 100% stress free. I have been excited every step of the way with their reassurance on my decision making and also offering suggestions to make the trip more fulfilling. Positive experience: Global work and travel are an amazing company. I would highly recommend this company to any travellers. They have a range of different categories from Au pair to volunteers and it’s all about the journey. Jess and Stacey were amazing and still are whilst I continue my journey through the UK. These girls always reply within 24hrs to any emails or calls answering all questions about everything. They help from ensuring you have a check list to insurance policy and still check up whilst away travelling. This company has made from what seemed unrealistic to actually happening happen and that for me is just amazing!

Fantastic experience: Was very skeptical about booking with a company online I hadn’t really heard much about before but global work and travel were amazing! Would 100% recommend to anyone who is looking to travel with help along the way. I’m currently in Thailand volunteering with dogs and then off travelling for a month afterwards and I wouldn’t have been able to do it without the help from Julian and Millie! They were happy to help me through my journey and answer ALL of my questions!

Fantastic experience: Honestly i was quite anxious planning this trip, as its my first time travelling solo, and especially with Covid the last couple of years i was always hesitant because everything was so unpredictable with the ability to travel, however, the team at Global Work & Travel have gone to great efforts to make sure my upcoming trip was catered and suited perfectly for what i was looking, they were always patient and nurturing with my decisions .The ladies i was assigned with to help me (Stacey, Anastasia (formerly) and Betty) have always been so professional and friendly and have made me feel confident and excited. to explore the world. Fantastic experience: I started my Journey about 6 months before leaving for my flight, it was a tight window but with the amazing help from Nicola, Julian and Tiare they assured me that I always had help. Julian was there every time I had a question and would call straight away if needed. Tiare was able to answer every question I had and made sure I always knew what was next and how to do everything. For anyone looking to travel I highly recommend Global without a doubt in my mind

Fantastic experience: I booked the Working Holiday Visa and got to be in the hand of Julian (UK) and Tiare (Canada) I cannot stress enough what a relief and a great choice this was. Communication was fast, concise and always made me feel secured and that things were under control. Lovely and efficient people to have on your side.

Positive experience: Everything has been straight forward with setting up and communication , however I have not yet received a job as a work opportunity fell through due to some poor communication. Unlimited beer on my first day in the office... happy

Negative experience: I am very sorry that when a student wants to independently plan her journey and future, she is eventually cheated. My daughter (who is still studying) works on weekends and holidays to save for this trip. She paid £ 1120 well in advance last summer for her trip after her studies in 2022. I didn't know about it until a few weeks ago. When she informed me because she wanted to cancel due to covid-19. She had read in the terms that she would get a full refund. Now she was emailed to hear that there would be a £ 387.50 refund. This is not even 50% which is actually common according to the cancellation policy when you cancel, without reason (point 8 in the booking conditions: Cancellation costs for our Working Holiday and Au Pair trips: ╶ 61+ days from your provisional departure date: 50% of the balance of the travel package). And my daughter cancels for good reason !!! Because of unforeseen circumstances. COVID-19. Which would make a full refund according to the cancellation policy. So for those who would like to book with Global Work & Travel UK in the future, ATTENTION !!! Ik vind het heel jammer dat wanneer een studente zelfstandig haar reis en toekomst wilt uitstippelen, uiteindelijk wordt bedrogen. Mijn dochter (die nog studeert) werkt in het weekend en de vakanties om te sparen voor deze reis. Ze betaalde dan vorige zomer al goed op voorhand £1120 voor haar reis na haar studies in 2022. Ik wist er niets van tot enkele weken geleden. Wanneer ze me op de hoogte bracht omdat ze wilde annuleren ivm covid-19. Ze had gelezen in de voorwaarden dat ze een volledige refund zou krijgen. Nu kreeg ze in mail te horen dat er een terugbetaling zou zijn van £387,50. Dit is zelfs niet 50% dat eigenlijk gangbaar is volgens de annuleringsvoorwaarden wanneer je annuleert, zonder reden (punt 8 in de booking conditions : Cancellation fees for our Working Holiday and Au Pair trips: ╶ 61+ days from your tentative date of departure: 50% of the trip package balance). En mijn dochter annuleert niet zonder reden!!! Maar om onvoorziene omstandigheden nml. Covid-19. Wat volgends de annuleringsvoorwaarden een volledige terugbetaling zou betekenen. Dus voor wie in de toekomst met Global Work & Travel UK in zee zou gaan, OPLETTEN!!!

Negative experience: The travel company was fine and everything was sorted quickly. However when the covid 19 outbreak occurred I wished to cancel my trip and gain a full refund which under section 9 of the booking conditions stated that I was allowed to do as I was cancelling due to 'unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances' such as 'significant risks to human health such as the outbreak of a serious disease' which covid 19 is. However when I sent the booking terms and conditions to them and asked for a full refund they tried to push my trip to a later date or only offer me £875 out of the over £2000 I spent. I'm a student and I worked hard to pay for the trip yet they didn't seem to care. Honestly it's been horrible and I've now had to go through my card companies to even attempt to get my money back.

Anything.... The "good reviews" they have here are people with 1 review.... The number they rang me off was tagged as SCAM by my phone... It's too good to be true, I almost fell for it.

Negative experience: Had pushy sails person that took advantage of my dumb 18 year old self that wanted to get out of the country and travel. Was told I could use my deposit for flights and on other trips if anything fell through which just wasn't the case lost 600 dollars.

Negative experience: I put my email in to get some Info, hoping they would just send an email with all the information. Instead..... they ring, to which im not comfortable with so I ignore as I was just poking around. To which they rang me a total of 14TIMES in 3 days!!!!!!. When speaking to the people on the phone aswell, they are very persistent that you buy Right now or you will miss a big deal!!. Its very intense the whole thing, and just not pleasant for me at all.

Negative experience: They lure you in, with a soft but hard sell. Talking about adventures and how you need to pay a deposit to reserve your volunteering slot. Taking your details over the phone and agreeing to a travel plan, with no given itinerary. Seem so stupid afterwards as, if you look online, they've been investigated! They young outgoing people on impulse. Never again

Negative experience: **URGENT** SCAM ALERT Do not book with global work and travel Co. They are a scam. I was naive enough to believe their pressure tactics. I paid over £1000 and was told I would lose out on by deposit of £350 and a small cancellation fee if I were to ever cancel. I cancelled my trip and was told I was only eligible to £350 Refund as that is what I was told. I dispute this and know for a fact I was told I could have a fully refund, minus a small cancellation fee and the deposit. I have tried to ask to access to the telephone calls under GDPR regulations but they have gotten back to me saying it is under proprietary intellectual property. I have been battling this scam for months now and I get emails from them late at night, 11pm and it sometimea takes them over a week to get back to me. Their office hours online state 9am til 7pm. Why on earth would I be emailed at 11 o clock at night from a 'legitimate' office company. Customer service have been very rude to me about this as well as nasty. I am warning everyone to not book with this company as they will try and sell u a good deal but in fact just only want to take your money. When I asked them what they actually do for me, they couldn't answer me. They told me I have to book the flights myself, get a job myself, find my own accommodation, sort out my own travel insurance and visa ect. So what was the point in booking with them if you still have to do it all yourself. **SCAM ALERT - DO NOT BOOK**

Negative experience: I had a personal experience with them, tried forcing me into paying a £350 deposit. Pushed and pushed when I refused they then attempted into forcing me into paying £50 instead. I still refused and got off the phone. My girlfriend however did not feel like she could refuse to pay, they pushed her into paying a £350 deposit without informing her entirely surrounding the details of her trip. She was told that nothing had been booked and that she couldn't book her flights because they did not even know the dates she would be going. She then received a call the very next day trying to get her to pay another £1600 or so ... Due to certain circumstances she had to cancel and has since decided that it is not something she wants to do in the future and just wants to get her money back as £350 is a lot for an 18 year old. She is now being told that her deposit is non refundable because they have "expensive overheads" when being asked to elaborate she was told they could not disclose that information. The guy that was on the phone was rude and arrogant and just did not care. Company is a complete scam. All she wants is her money back because she feels like it has been robbed from her. Distugsting company.

Positive experience: Orientation presentation with Kirsty was really informative and definitely made me feel at ease about being here in London for the first time! A star lost for not being placed in the same room in the hostel as the person I am travelling with, as they did initially say this wouldnt be a problem. Another star lost as we we were told we would have an arranged interview prior to arrival - but this did not happen. The day after we arrived we received information on our interview for Friday- 5 days after our arrival. A little dissapointing as it did cause some stress about our arrival. All in all, so long as GWT provide the support they have promised, a good organisation to help you find your feet :)

Negative experience: I called to get information about how the volunteer process worked. Very good customer service until they asked for a £350 deposit out of no where and were very pushy when I refused since I had received minimal information on the trip and was expected to pay another £1200 in a few days. Do not feel comfortable using this company.

Negative experience: if you’re looking to do a gap year do not go with this company, ridiculous prices and within the first 10 minutes of the introductory phone call you will be forced into paying a £350 deposit. Then later over a thousand pounds for the whole trip! i soon realised all this company wants is your money but it was too late by then when i rang up just 2 hours later to cancel, the assistant on the phone said I could get my refund since it was only earlier that same morning. I then had a snappy manager on the phone with me who said he would review it and get back to me. Then lied about what was said in the official phone call official recording and refused my refund. SCAMMERS stay away

Fantastic experience: Almost too good to be true! Daniel, Katy and Kirsty have been a fantastic team and made sure that everything has been breezy. By uncomplicating my whole trip they have given me (and my family; love you mum) heaps of piece of mind and made it super easy to start work! I can't wait to travel on super cheap flights through Europe and tick off at least 10 more locations in the next few months Thankyou so much for giving me the opportunity to come to London and explore more of the world with no regrets

Fantastic experience: The staff have been really helpful so far, definitely suggest for a first time working holiday as there is a lot that goes into it that I wasn’t aware of. Feels really reassuring to have ongoing support throughout my time here :) You feel so much more comfortable to move to the other side of the world having a job lined up, accomodation and help to set up bank account etc. Would not have had the courage to do it on my own!

Negative experience: Don't take this service. Company preys on naivety of young prospective travellers with pushy sales tactics and glossy marketing. There is a reason they have a website as good as they do, and that reason is so they can pull you in straight away and take a £300 deposit. If you are foolish enough to pay this (like i was) you are then at risk of being extorted out off 1000s of pounds for their so-called "service". There is no way you can trust a company with a such a patchy history (they were prosecuted by the Australian government). Make your trip arrangements yourself it is simple, more fulfilling and far cheaper.

Positive experience: Helpful but still a scam! Be aware as soon as you call they will not stop contacting you and will tell you there are not enough spots left if you don’t pay right now, do not pay until you have read this. Some of the staff are lovely, Kirsty and Katy very helpful! Most of the work you will do yourself they do not to do it for you. Be careful if you buy there insurance or flights!! Way to expensive, they will try to convince you otherwise but it is not necessary as it will take you a few minutes to look to find cheaper flexible flights online. The airport transfer is Heathrow to Paddington, which is a good inclusion. The rest of the airport transfer is simply directions, which don’t really work to go on the tube with luggage (unless your a really light packer), I would recommend to the company to include a taxi in the airport transfer. They are very helpful with resumes and will find you a job... not necessarily in the field you want, there are only 4 options to choose from, my advice is get them to discuss this with you before signing up. The things they give you for ‘free’ SIM card -only 2gb data which is debatable whether it’s enough or not.., phone charger :) Things they set up for you - bank account (they make you do it yourself anyway with help) , national insurance number (they make you do it yourself anyway). However if your nervous it might help you to have the support there. They will book you a hostel for 4 nights, will not include breakfast, which for some will matter others it won’t. The best thing about it is that they store excess luggage , easy to meet people! And the London inclusions where really fun. *I did write a four star review the other day at the office, the orientation was great.Afterwards chatting to other global work and travellers, I was mortified to find out how manipulative the company had been to them. I don’t think that you want your company to be viewed in this way, and it doesn’t need to be. Just review the way you get people to sign up and I think any negative reviews will change :)

Negative experience: Enquired early this year for UK departure in September, was contacted a few times by a sales consultant who was pushy and wouldn't take no for an answer. I eventually paid the holding deposit after doing so I was told I would be contacted in the coming weeks regarding jobs and departure dates. Never heard from them again... it is now November, I am in the UK have managed to get my own job and house with no problems. May have lost my holding deposit but Ive saved myself $2000+. Don't go through an agency, it's so easy to do it yourself. I'm still waiting for any contact from them also but it's all good now I don't need their help. ✌

Negative experience: Paid over 1000 pounds and They never contact you again. beware they take your money and then leave you to do everything on your own! I went to Australia I did my own flights I found my own job I found my own place to live and found my own farm work and sorted out my 2nd year visa all on my own waste of time! They paid for a hostel for 5 nights which don’t cost 1000 pounds I stayed there for two weeks and paid for the rest of the time out of my own pocket, While I looked for a job. This company ruin my experience of traveling on your own!

Fantastic experience: Everything happened so smoothly! I just finished my orientation with Kirsty and the team here in London have thought of every small detail to get me going, from outings during the day to a mobile number and even helping setting up a bank account! The whole process has been super easy! I would highly recommend them! I look forward to starting my job in a couple days! :)

Fantastic experience: Arriving in another country by myself seemed totally daunting, but with the step by step instructions and airport transfer ticket supplied by Global Travel it was made easy. 5 nights accommodation organised for you makes it easy to settle in and the orientation meeting at the Global office explains everything you will need to know to have a safe and enjoyable trip.

From the minute I called to get a quote and information before anything, to the moment I arrived in the UK to begin my adventure everyone I spoke to were very informative, friendly and extremely helpful! I had a job opportunity before I arrived in the country, and having a job, and accommodation before I even arrived was an amazing relief not only to me but also my mum! Fantastic experience: Landed in London with zero issues and gave the girls a call, Katy and Kirsty were super happy and enthusiastic and welcomed me with open arms at my orientation! I got a job through Global a few weeks before departing thanks to Katy and Kirsty has looked after me with all my pre travel stress and random silly questions! I was initially worried the whole idea was too good to be true but the girls are amazing and I would so recommend this to anyone wanting to go on an adventure with some support!!
