Fantastic experience: Bucket List trip. Working with Luxury Scotland Tours, we were able to create a bespoke itinerary that incorporated everything we wanted to see. From Stirling Castle, to Loch Ness, to Hadrian’s Wall, we covered Scotland with our driver, Gordon, who’s knowledge of Scottish history made the trip a journey through history.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I had a private tour designed and arranged by Amy. She did a good job of giving us a taste of what Scotland is all about. She followed up with us regularly while we were there to make sure that there were no issues. The restaurants that were recommended to us were great. The driver, George, was very professional and accommodating. Would definitely use them again.

Fantastic experience: The Best of Scotland July 2024 In a nutshell, the whole trip was a six out of five. Everything went exactly according to plan and all hotels and restaurants were fabulous. Gary, our fabulous driver, was a stupendous guide with his knowledge, flexibility, kindness, humor and the way he would anticipate and change the itinerary according to the weather. He was a real walking encyclopedia and just as importantly, an excellent driver! Everything was a highlight, but the highlight of the highlights was Edinburgh, Saint Andrews. Highland night, Cawdor Castle, Eileen Donan Castle, Portree. Our favorite hotels were the Fonab Castle hotel, the Cuillin Hills and the Isle of Ericka Hotel. Concerning the guides, Fiona and Gordon were very knowledgeable and pleasant. And many, many thanks for your glasses of champagne to celebrate Martine’s birthday at Cromlix, a very thoughtful gesture, it was most appreciated. Altogether, a memorable trip that was very well planned and executed. We have already and will continue to recommend Luxury Scotland Tours. When we plan our Scotland golf trip, we will of course ask you to organize this for us.

Fantastic experience: This was out 2nd trip with Luxury Scotland in 2 years. The first time was so magical that we jut couldn't wait to return! Just as we experienced with our first trip, the services, care and attention to detail during the planning of our trip was second to none. And this time around, we were a little more opinionated about what we wanted to do and where we wanted to go. Luxury Scotland handled it with grace and made sure that we had the exact holiday that we wanted. This time, our favorite things (beyond the scotch tours - they will always be my husband's favorite) were the personal walking tours. Fantastic experience: We cannot say enough about Luxury Scotland Tours and our agent Rebecca. From start to finish, a phenomenal group of people, places and sights as we toured Scotland and Ireland for 15 days. Our driver in Scotland, Gary, was witty, funny and full of knowledge (and surprises!) throughout our week+ with him. The lodging choices were superb, with The Balmoral (Edinburgh), Culloden Estate (Belfast) and The Merrion (Dublin) ranking among the top. Our party of 4 enjoyed seeing all the sights from historical basis to distilleries/bars/pubs to Outlander and Harry Potter themed stops and everything in between. We would very, very highly recommend this company for their knowledge of properties, fantastic staff and overall guidance to their customers.

Fantastic experience: I'm not surprised that LST has a "5" rating on Google Reviews - they deserve it in my opinion. About a year ago I began to plan a luxury "scotch whisky tasting tour" with 3 other friends. Our goal was to enjoy the Scottish Highlands and Islands, taste whisky at top distilleries, enjoy the outdoors (little hiking) and test out the cuisine. We found LST and immediately saw that their approach to planning a "customized" trip through Scotland was far superior to any other offering out there. "Luxury" , Flexibility, Customization, and Attention to Detail sums up our trip. (some very nice weather didn't hurt either). We basically circled Scotland - we spent 3 days on our own in Edinburgh, then LST picked us up at our hotel and drove us around the "Isle" - we started in passed through Pitlochry, Inverary and Dhalwhinie on the way to Inverness (3 days there - 10 distilleries), then south to Oban and Port Ellen. We spent the night on Islay, while managing to visit 4 distilleries, then south to Campletown (2 distilleries). Final day we traced the beauty of the Lochs and Invarary, then were dropped off in Glasgow (2 nights on our own there). 13 perfect days. The trip was very nicely organized, attention to detail was terrific, the car was beautiful/spacious, and our favorite part of the trip was CHRIS COLMEN , our driver – a wonderful person, full of interesting suggestions and thoughts on history, geography, political and majestical (Royal Family). It was a really a pleasure having Chris as our driver. (I hope that the LST organization realizes what a wonderful new person that they have pulled in as a driver...Chris is new to the organization). The company did an excellent job with arranging distilleries, travel time, restaurant reservations, and special requests (such as Scottish dinner/show in . We felt that the company really went above and beyond expectations in all of these areas. Our driver, Chris even went as far as to identify individual needs of (mine was dark chocolate Tunnocks) and went out of his way to provide needs of the passengers. We appreciated the willingness of staff to try to make some last minute changes, and the willingness of the driver, Chris, to accommodate some changes in the plans – such as bringing us to a few additional distilleries for bar tastings along the way. This was an A+ trip for someone who: - has been ALL over the world (35+ countries) - loves whiskies - loves outdoors - (likes luxury :) )....

Fantastic experience: Luxury Scotland Tours is a wonderful company to book with. Amy and Alasdair were wonderful to deal with. They were so organized, knowledgeable, patient and their responses were always so detailed . And when we actually were on the trip everything planned and booked went seamlessly. It was all setup and communicated as planned. The accommodations booked for us were amazing. The sights and tours planned by Luxury Scotland Tours were wonderful. Fantastic experience: We enjoyed our bespoke tour of Ireland, Northern Ireland, and Scotland. Over the course of 17 days, our three person tour relaxed in well appointed luxury, while never worrying about tickets, reservations, parking, or other travel hassles. While creating our trip, our travel coordinator Alan, really worked-out an itinerary for our personal interests. We felt like our trip highlighted EXACTLY what we wanted--not wasting time on a standard bus tour. Our drivers were first rate. Helpful, funny, and full of terrific information, we couldn't have asked for better. Martin in Ireland/ Northern Ireland, and Bruce in Scotland were the best. Fantastic experience: My trip was one of a lifetime! Our driver(Martin) that picked us up in Dublin was great, very professional and friendly. When we landed in Edinburgh our driver (Bruce Coates) was so helpful ,friendly and professional. He pointed out things about his country the were fanominal. He kept us on schedule. Fantastic experience: Luxury Scotland Tours put together the trip of a lifetime for my family. Florence and Maria took our wish list and created a magical 10 day experience that we will never forget. In the planning process, Florence answered all of our questions and made adjustments easily when needed. Our driver Brian went above and beyond and surprised us every day with his attention to detail, good humor, and resourcefulness. There were five of us traveling, ages 84 to 43, one with a brand new knee, and another with a creaky hip. But it was easy with Brian's help. Florence arranged for lovely and memorable hotels and inns with fantastic meals. She also took our request for quirky adventures seriously and booked unique experiences for us that we never could have found on our own. We were greeted with a bagpiper and a whisky toast at Glamis Castle, spent an afternoon with a talented shepherd and his dogs, and got up close to wildlife on a pontoon speed boat. At a pub in Inverness we enjoyed local bands and great food. Our guide Hannah in Edinburgh was excellent as well and had a great sense of what we would find interesting. We've always traveled independently, so we were nervous about using a Tour Company but Scotland Luxury Tours did a better job than we could have done ourselves.

Fantastic experience: First, everyone at Luxury Scotland Tours exceeded expectations. Alan put together a fantast itinerary, was flexible and adjust things just for us, and fixed things for us on the fly. We didn't have a great meal one night so he cancelled the second night and gave us three new option. Our driver Scott, who Alan arranged for us, was a blast. He was so much fun and knew so much about the Scotland... from landmarks, to politics to how the financial markets work. Everything about what Luxury Scotland Tours did for us was excellent.

Fantastic experience: My dad and I love Scotch whisky. We inquired with Florence and the team at LST and they quickly and carefully crafted a fantastic itinerary. We just returned from our 11 day journey a week ago. While we'd gladly return to Scotland, we can honestly say that we don't feel like we missed out on anything. Our adventure took us from Campeltown to Islay, into the Highlands, Speyside, and finished off in Edinburgh. Every detail was superb, from our accommodation to our meals, our driver, distillery tours, and our bonus sightseeing opportunities. We were able to accomplish exactly what we set out to do: learn about and appreciate Scotch whisky from every corner of Scotland. We stayed at some remarkable places (Isle of Eriska and Fonab Castle are a must) and ate some exquisite cuisine thanks to LST's curated bookings. A special shout out to our driver, Craig. He really made the trip for my dad and I and took great care of us the entire time. Fantastic experience: Oh, my, what a wonderful trip! There were 6 of us-cousins and spouses, and we just returned from a Deluxe 8-Day tour of Scotland. From the beginning plans to bidding good-bye to our driver, Grant, every detail was attended to. Amy was always quick to respond to our questions/concerns with accurate information. Our first stop in Edinburgh was lovely and our guide, Liz, provided us with a wealth of information during the walking tour. Our hotel was superb and such a treat. Once we were underway with Grant, we saw some of the most beautiful scenery ever. Grant's driving skills and his respectful manner toward other drivers was very appreciated. He provided us with information, scenery options, was always on time and we just really enjoyed spending those days with him. He took time to pull together treats and decorations for my husband's birthday! We so enjoyed our lodgings and meals and only wish we had more time to explore the surrounding acres. The scenery and the serenity of the beautiful landscapes were what all of us needed-and for a bonus, the fields were full of sheep and lambs!!!! Thanks again for a wonderful tour.

Fantastic experience: Luxury Scotland Tours was amazing for our Scotland Adventure. From the moment we connected with them to plan the trip and then from when David, our driver picked us up from the airport to our departure more than a week later, every detail was perfect. From hikes and adventures to golfing at St. Andrews and all the inns we stayed in along the way everything was perfect. We recommend this group to plan your Scotland tour.

Fantastic experience: We wanted to visit Scotland in 2020. Covid. 2021 Covid. 2022 Covid. 2022 was not travel restrictions, but my wife got Covid. Year one and year two Luxury Scotland Tours made it easy by just shifting all our reservations out a year. In 2022 we had to file a travel insurance claim and LST made that as easy as possible by providing all the documentation required to get reimbursed from the insurance company, who, like Voldemort, shall not be named as they were a pain to deal with. We finally made it in October of 2023. We arrived to the worst rainfall in 30 years and our route to Crinan from Edinburgh was blocked, so we never got there. We retreated to Glasgow for the night. The next day we just tried to get back on track and we did that. Our guide/driver Neil was amazingly calm throughout, and that kept us calm. He was even calm 30 minutes into the first day of our trip when we were rear-ended in traffic. If this had been a self-driving trip I would have lost my composure. Between the accident and the flooding I'm not sure I would have finished the trip if I had been self-driving. It was great to have someone else handle the adversity of the flooding and the minor car accident. Our first several days were spent traveling. The last two days were in Edinburgh with a local photographer. His knowledge of Edinburgh and the surrounding area was extensive and he put me in the right place at the right time over and over again to capture some great photos. All in all we saw a LOT of Scotland. I highly recommend this trip to anybody that wants to see Scotland. Ours was awesome.

Annie set up an amazingly comprehensive tour package for a very special 5 day Scotland tour that has been in the planning stage for many years. Nowadays it’s rare that a travel company includes every single thing one request, but not only all experiences we wanted to do were included, but all the additional recommendations by the Luxury Scotland Tours team were outstanding! Working with Florence on the tour planning was an absolute pleasure, and thanks to her outstanding coordination efforts and hard work, we had the most magical Scottish tour we could have ever dreamed of! From the printed itinerary waiting for us when we met our driver, up to the reservation details, rooms selected, and even the small details such as welcoming snacks or tables reserved for dinner, Florence made our tailored travel experience very unique. All experiences were tailored to our taste, including fine dinning and absolutely stunning lodging properties, the ones you keep talking about to your friends, family, and acquaintances for years to come. Fantastic experience: Helen planned a 16 day excursion for us around 18 distilleries in all 5 Whisky regions. We have arranged such trips before, but this was by far the best experience. Hellen has exquisite taste, particularly in hotels and restaurants. Everything went smoothly, and Ally was a fantastic person to escort us around the country. She did special things, like dinner at a restaurant where they literally brought the fish 30 yards from the dock every day, and it had a spectacular view as well. We look forward to another Scotland experience somewhere down the road.

Fantastic experience: We contracted with Luxury Scotland Tours to setup a tour thru Scotland for what we were interested in. They worked very closely with us and setup everything. Fantastic experience: Trip of a Lifetime! We are 8 long time golf friends who had the most wonderful experience of touring Scotland and playing golf at St. Andrews, Gullane, Castle Stuart, Kingsbarns, and Gleneagles for 12 days on a luxury tour created for us by Luxury Scotland Tours. We did not have to plan or do anything but enjoy the trip. Luxury Scotland Tours did it all in style. We give Luxury Scotland Tours greater than 5 stars, 5 stars+, it was truly the best trip we have all experienced. The Mercedes Van was beyond comfortable with snacks and drinks always available, and our drivers, David and Neil, were wonderfully engaging, engaging, and just fun to be with. The lodging was first class with completely comfort and all of our needs taken care. The restaurants recommended by Luxury Scotland Tours were impeccable, incredible food and service, and always walking distance to our hotel. In addition to planning everything our golf days, Luxury Scotland Tours planned a very informative and enjoyable excursions such as a personally guided walking tour Edinburgh, tours of castles, cathedrals, distilleries, a private tasting with Iain Burnett, a renowned chocolatier, a private cruise with Gordon on the Loch Ness, shopping areas, and the list goes on. Fantastic experience: We booked an eight day tour of Scotland with LST and it was amazing. Alasdair, Helen and Amy had carefully planned a great itinerary of distilleries, historic sites and guided tours of the countryside and Edinburgh. Our tour took us from Edinburgh via Loch Lomond to the West Highlands and then via Angus back to Edinburgh. We were travelling with a three month old baby and the tour was perfectly tailored to our needs. Although most of the group had visited Scotland before, we all agreed that we had never seen so much of the country in such a short time. Throughout the trip we could always rely on Amy to help us with any changes (such as dinner reservations) and when there was a small error in the itinerary that caused us to miss a distillery tour, she quickly and professionally organised a private tour at another distillery. It was a pleasure not to have to worry and organise these things ourselves. For our driver they hired Garry from GWM Executive Travel which was the best decision they could have made. He was a great driver, guide and fun person. All in all we were very pleased with the memorable holiday the team at LST organised for us!

Fantastic experience: This was the best vacation my husband and I have ever taken. Our guide/driver, George, was a very informative and friendly man. He gave us great information about the areas and the distilleries. Always allowed us plenty of time to enjoy the scenery, shopping, places to stop and get a bite along the way. Was promptly on time everyday at 9 am to start the day. Everyday was so well planned. We saw so much of the Scottish countryside and the accommodations were definitely 5 star. The restaurants were exceptional. Just can’t say enough good about this trip.

Fantastic experience: Always try to use an in country travel service. Luxury Scotland Tours did not disappoint. From the attention to detail, options available to the 2 hour call on a Saturday no less to customize our tour was top shelf. Michelle and Amy were accessible before during and after the tour! My mother and I enjoyed a tailored Taste of Scotland tour, and it was the most delicious and beautiful experience of our lifetimes! The breathtaking views of the Highlands, the stellar restaurants, hotels, and spas, as well as the amazing historical destinations were beyond description! Fantastic experience: Florence and the team at Luxury Scotland Tours helped us plan a custom 10-day trip through the Highlands, ending in Edinburgh. We had a wonderful driver, Gary, who was fabulous as a driver and a guide, and we were booked into beautiful hotels and restaurants. I would contact them again in a heartbeat to schedule another trip.

Positive experience: Sorry for the delay. On the positive side both drivers were excellent, they went way beyond what was expected. Our first hotel in Cromlix was superb rooms, staff, food & grounds. Ness walk hotel rooms ok, food fair & staff not personable. Isle of Erika hotel out of five stars it is a ONE. When we arrived they rushed us to their 12 course dinner before letting us go to our rooms, there were not prices on menus either night. They also added a ten pound energy charge for each night of stay. When it came time to check out all charges where on one account instead of by room. InterContinental Edinburgh, we stayed here on two different nights. First time, we were given a room without a walk in shower, then moved to a handicapped room, Laura O’shaughnessy room was next to garbage chute hotel gave her our previous room. Derek & Jill were given a regular room & a couple of hours later contacted & told the needed there room & moved them to a handicapped room. They are healthy adults. We give this hotel two stars. On to Northern Ireland we stayed our first & last night at Cultra Inn what a great hotel can not say enough about rooms, service or food. We gave this hotel five stars. On toDerry & Bishop’s Gate hotel. Staff at this hotel was superb. Pat O’shaughnessy had hurt her back the last day in Scotland & was in a lot of pain. They gave Pat & Tim the penthouse suite & contacted a physician the next morning for her to see. If we could give ten stars this hotel deserved it. Overall we where happy with you company. We enjoyed the personal touch of tour books. As a group we thank you.

Fantastic experience: We spent six wonderful days travelling through Scotland with Luxury Scotland. From beginning to end our personalised tour was perfectly organised by Ruaridh and Helen. Fantastic experience: Truly a Luxurious trip through Scotland with LST. We had a week family trip and covered a lot of ground. Our initial wish list of areas we wanted to see was quite extensive. LST was able to identify an incredible Itinerary. We spent time On Isle of Skye, time in Oban and time at Loch Lomond at the Cameron house. We hiked up to the Storr, went to Kilt Rock, Neist Point Lighthouse, Talisker Distillery, walked through Portree, Took Ferry to Mallaig Ferry, Glenfinnan Viaduct, did 4x4 adventures, fishing on Loch Lomond, and did a seaplane excursions. I stumbled upon LSTours in my search to create an incredible family experience. From my initial conversation with Straun to finalizing our details managing our trip with Ophelie our trip could not have been better. We had a driver, Ally, for the whole trip, who quickly seem to become part of the family. As a party of 5 with 3 adult children Ally was able to patiently welcome all the family banter on our drives to each new spot. We had a hiccup with our travel into Scotland which altered our arrival city which could have majorly impacted our whole trip. Ophelie and Ally our driver were remarkable in accommodating our change in itinerary where it felt as if we had intended to start in Glasgow opposed to Inverness. They made what could have been a very stressful travel experience feel as if it was all planned. I highly recommend working with Luxury Scotland Tours. It was a bucket list trip to travel to Scotland and LST was able to make it a trip of a lifetime.

Equal parts host, tour guide, driver, bodyguard, and historian ... he was calm, patient, good natured, knowledgeable, thoughtful, dependable, and in every way the perfect traveling companion. We can't imagine ever having explored my ancestral home without him showing the way. We were (of course) so pleased with the comfortable and elegant accommodations that LST arranged for us! Crossbasket Castle, the Cromlix House, and the Glencoe House ... all three were first rate and offered a truly unique experience, each in their own delightful way. We enjoyed them immensely. You know it says a lot when two top notch hotels (Edinburgh's Waldorf Astoria and the Cameron House) are not mentioned as the highlight of the accommodations. Don't get me wrong, we enjoyed them both -- they're outstanding properties -- and they were perfect for what they each offered us at their particular juncture in our holiday. Side note: we never anticipated having such a great time with the Falconry experience at the Cameron House! Graeme and his hawk, Dram, were big fun. Ask about the Squirrel Hunt! (Joking.) Among the countless ways LST went above and beyond for us was how we somehow managed to always have lunch and dinner reservations at the best window table looking out over yet another jaw-dropping view (a meticulously manicured garden, a scenic harbour, a Highland Loch ...). They also found a way to slip in a visit to Dunkeld Cathedral (a special place near and dear to my heart) after a last minute request -- totally my fault, but they made it happen! We are big fans of this wonderful company, all the valuable services they provide, and their especially talented staff. It would have taken us countless hours to plan and implement this holiday -- and we'd still never have pulled it together nearly as well as they did. Finally, it MUST be mentioned: not having to drive ourselves around on the left side of all those narrow, unfamiliar roads? Priceless. Special shout out to Ophelie for making it all happen! Fantastic experience: We used Luxury Scotland Tours to plan a 8 day scotch whisky tour to celebrate my brother’s birthday. Michelle and Helen from Luxury Scotland Tours planned an amazing itinerary for us. They made great recommendations for us to experience very diverse distillery experiences. All hotel and restaurant recommendations were above our expectations. Our drivers, Billy and Stewart, was the best, they helped us by rearranging our agenda to give us flexibility to do what we wanted. Big shout out to Billy, he was amazing! Fantastic experience: We had a wonderful trip to Scotland with Luxury Scotland Tours. We are experienced travelers, and we had a great time in the English lake country on our last pre-Covid trip; however, this was our first visit to Scotland. In planning the trip, we had a number of conversations with Struan and Florence, both of whom listened to our desires and concerns and flexibly responded to our requests. The process led to a flawless trip, replete with hikes, castle visits, city tours, great lodging and first-class meals. Fantastic experience: We had an amazing whisky tour experience, thanks to Luxury Scotland tours. It was a custom planned 5 days, super busy schedule that included 2-3 distillery tours and tastings every day. Michelle was incredibly helpful planning the entire tour advising every step of the way as to what's doable vs not. Florence was also great with the tour purchases and travel consultancy. They were also extremely instrumental to come up with alternatives when something wouldn't fit into our schedule due to timings. The transportation vehicle was true luxury with the safest driver ever (I am not exaggerating). He was there for us every step of the trip. The hotels were also very smartly recommended within our budget. Truly an exceptional experience. I would highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: If I could rate 10 stars I would! Working with Luxury Scotland Tours was a dream. From start to finish, everything was efficient, convenient and exceeded our expectations. And, very luxurious. We wanted a private tour of Scotland and for various reasons, had to modify one of the standard itineraries. Not only was this possible, but we were asked what we'd like to do and several options were suggested for us to pick from. We ended up replacing one stop with horseback riding in the highlands, which was magical. Every person at Luxury Scotland Tours was courteous, professional, and a pleasure to work with. Struan and Florence, provided excellent planning and event coordination (to name only two out of hundreds of responsibilities) and Brian, our driver for nine days, was professional, very knowledgeable and a truly nice person. Fantastic experience: We had a proper Scottish Adventure with Luxury Scotland Tours and Alan as our guide, driver, and forever friend! Like many of the other posters, we planned this trip pre-Covid and this was our third attempt and third time was the charm. We had been to Scotland several times before and had done the typical trip...Pitlochry, Isle of Skye, Jacobite Steam Train...so, we wanted something different - National Geographic style! We combined the Northcoast 500 with day trips to Handa and the Orkneys, traveling up the west coast, along the north and back down the east coast to Inverness. We were a bit too late for the migratory birds (puffins!) but the dramatic scenery made up for it. Hard to pick the highlights as the entire trip was superb. The most striking scenery was the day Alan drove us through the glen where "Skyfall" was filmed. Just stunning. The most fascinating was visiting Skara Brae, a settlement over 5000 years old on the Mainland of the Orkneys. The most royal was visiting Castle Mey, the home of the late Queen Mum. It was a fairy tale castle in a land of castles. All of the accommodations were top notch with the Glencoe House topping them all, and the food was great. Best of all, our driver Alan, provided a running commentary of the history of each place we visited. He also found the best places for soup, shopping and hiking. If he didn't know the answer immediately, he would by then end of the day. He is a treasure and a big part of why we had the most incredible 15 days. Fantastic experience: We had initially had this trip planned in 2021 but pushed it to 2022 and it could not have been better. Straun and Helen did a fabulous job of taking care of rebooking our trip and our stay was fantastic. Our driver Alan was everywhere we needed him to be when we needed him and he also adjusted several things on the fly. Fantastic experience: We traveled to Scotland for 12 days in June and booked the trip with Luxury Scotland Tours. As another person remarked, this was the first trip we have ever taken that I have not planned the entire trip. We selected a tour itinerary for several options suggested by LST but we also added a stop to St Andrews. We had a terrific trip, staying a very nice hotels, and enjoyed great food. We enjoyed the beautiful country. We all discussed the best part of the trip at our dinner the last night, and we all agreed that our driver, Craig, was the highlight. Having someone to safely get us from place to place without having to worry about the route, driving on the left, parking, and shuffling luggage was great. And for all 5 of us to be in one car. Fantastic experience: My husband and I had scheduled a tour of Scotland shortly before the Covid pandemic hit, and Luxury Scotland Tours worked exceedingly well with us to reschedule it. The trip was well worth the wait! Luxury Scotland Tours paired us with a wonderful driver, Craig, who went above and beyond the call of duty to make our trip exceptional. We toured the Isle of Skye and did the NC 500, and the photo opportunities were endless. We saw castles, gardens, monuments, wildlife, golf courses, and some of the most beautiful countryside imaginable. We especially enjoyed the Fairy Pools, the Fairy Glen, the Quiraing, and Applecross Drive. My husband and I would not hesitate to recommend Luxury Scotland Tours and our driver, Craig, to anyone wishing to tour the beautiful country of Scotland!

Fantastic experience: I went to Kintrye, Scotland to discover my roots as my great grandparents immigrated from the area. Because I wanted to see and do things not on the usual tourist itinerary I and because I was not comfortable driving in a different country I decided splurge to book a private tour with Luxury tours. They were very helpful and flexible in planning the itinerary and making the hotel arrangements. It was a little pricey for one person but well worth it and would be totally reasonable for a group. My driver Alberto was charming, knowledgeable and flexible. He tramped through abandoned cemeteries with me when he could have stayed in the car. He booked an appointment for me with the council archivist and then looked through records with me. I would ask for him again if I came back which I hope to.

Fantastic experience: When people ask "What did you see in Scotland?," our response is "What didn't we see!" Our driver Alan guided us flawlessly through over 1400 miles of Scottish highway and byway. Our Blue Badge guide Maggie made Edinburgh and Glasgow history come alive. With our input, Luxury Scotland Tours put together an itinerary filled with new adventures and experiences. The scenic Highlands did not disappoint. The coastal towns were picturesque. We adventured on the Atlantic to the Island of Mull, learned about falconry and birds of prey firsthand, tasted the best chocolate in the world courtesy of Iain Burnett, and had a wee bit of Scotch at the distilleries. The best part of our journey, of course, were the Scottish people. Friendly, outgoing, and willing to go above and beyond to make us comfortable. The Scots are very proud of their country and like to show it off. After all, every modern invention was conceived by a Scot! We shall return.

Fantastic experience: i planned my trip to Scotland starting in 2021. Struan worked with me planning my trip. We packed a lot of sightseeing in to two weeks. My driver Alan kept me on track and on time for all the places that had tickets. Alan also pointed out places that were not on my itinerary. i plan on taking another trip maybe next year in the fall.
