Fantastic experience: We just returned from our trip to Scotland c/o Nordic Visitor, and we wanted to thank you for the extremely well organized and thorough service that you offered. The information package was beautifully put together and offered so many options of places to visit. Of course, it is impossible to see everything, but it was so convenient to have the options clearly laid out. Our accommodations were all well suited and the morning breakfasts were a treat. Special mention to the Ibis in Edinburgh where the staff were exceptionally helpful, the location ideal and a continental breakfast second to none. Each of the remaining overnight stays were uniquely special and all the hosts were most accommodating. The car rental was seamless and being on the outskirts of town made for easy exit and return to the city whilst learning to drive on the correct side of the road. I don’t know how much influence you had on the weather, but we were blessed with sunshine for all but one day which for Scotland is almost unheard of. We almost got a suntan in Skye during the two days we were there with clear blue skies and unseasonably warm temperatures. All in all, an excellent holiday and a very well-arranged trip making it as stress free as possible for us. We will have no reservations in recommending you to friends and family. Fantastic experience: We took the self-drive tour of Scotland. We loved the B&B's, the maps, information, tickets, etc that they set up for us. We were able to travel and sightsee at our own pace with great suggestions from Duncan at Nordic Visitors. We would definitely book a trip with them again!

Fantastic experience: Well done! The self-driving tour of Scotland arranged by NV was perfect for people who don't mind driving in UK. We were able to see sights & visit places we were most interested in at our own pace. Lauriane (& her assist) did a great job booking hotels & the rental car. We chose a couple of alternate routes for side trips to maximize our time there. Overall, a lovely trip from Edinburgh to Falkirk to Aberdeen to Inverness to Culloden to Loch Ness to Portree in Isle of Skye to Inverary to Loch Lomond, then to Glasgow. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: We recently completed our third trip with Nordic Visitor, this time to Scotland. Once again, we were so impressed with this outstanding company and, especially, with our agent, Lauriane. Right from my first inquiry, she was professional, knowledgeable and always very prompt responding to my many e-mails. She gave us helpful tips such as suggesting pre-booking sites and restaurants, given that September is a very busy time in Scotland. She really came through when I injured my leg and ended up with a knee brace and crutches. She got in touch with our remaining accommodations to request a walk-in shower and minimum stairs! We highly recommend Nordic Visitor for organizing both self-drive and small group tours and, if you are fortunate enough to have Lauriane as your travel consultant, you will be very happy.

Fantastic experience: Nordic Visitor Exceptional describes every aspect of their service. Their agents, customer service,the packaged itinerary waiting at your first hotel in addition to what was sent to you via email, the airport chauffeur, the hotels, the B&Bs and their hoteliers, the locations, their reception, their accommodations and food and car rental service all earned an unqualified exceptional rating. Moreover, the hoteliers all spoke highly of Nordic Visitor. Nordic Visitor arranged a 12 day self drive Scotland tour for us. For us non-UK drivers driving required a high level of attentiveness. Many roads are narrow, winding with blind curves and hills and accompanied with unlimited speeds. Some roads are one lane - two way, with multiple passing places/lay by’s for oncoming traffic. I’m 70 plus years old and the driving was doable. All that said, Nordic Visitor had an uncanny ability to understand the driving distances and good estimation of time required between accommodations, including along the way numerous optional sightseeing stops. Nordic Visitor also provided a detailed road map along with descriptions of recommended sightseeing stops. If we travel anywhere Nordic Visitor services, we’ll contract with them. Our money was well spent.

Fantastic experience: Incredible group of people to work with. We had to make some on-the-fly changes while traveling and they didn't bat an eye. It was our first time in Scotland and they were our go-to for accommodations and setting our itinerary. It was a pleasure to work with Lauriane and I look forward to doing so again on future trips.

You are so well organized and always replied promptly to all of my questions. We loved the route you suggested and your tips. The hotels were all amazing especially the Motel One in Edinburgh , the Sconser on the Isle of Skye and t he Torlinnhe guest house in Fort William . All the hotels had amazing breakfasts. Our car rental with Arnold Clark worked out well and our GPS always lead us right to our destination . We will definitely book with Nordic Visitor when we plan our trip to Iceland.

Fantastic experience: I just took a 7 days express private trip around Scotland with my daughter. The organization by Lauriane BOURDIAU as Travel Consultant turned out to be excellent and attentive in a friendly way. The time table of pick up at the airport perfect while the delivery back to the airport possibly a bit too early (7am for a 10.30 flight with no luggage check in). Our guide/driver turned up to be super nice: a Scotsman (Klan Stewart) very professional, knowledgeable and accommodating to aur preference and interest. We were so lucky to have a bit of sun every day and NO rain! As for the choice of hotels we were quite pleased. The super top is Sconser Lodge not only for the accommodation but for the fantastic restaurant. Talking about restaurant we were pleasantly surprised by the Scottish cuisine that offers much more than fish & chips and haggis. Our favorite Cullen skink, scallops and sticky toffee pudding. The trip was well organized and extremely pleasant. Our itinerary: village of Dunkeld, Blair Castle nestled in the heart of Highland Perthshire. Culloden Moor, Bronze-age cemetery Clava Cairns.Night at Inverness. Loch Ness , Urquhart Castle , Fort Augustus , Eilean Donan Castle .Night 1 at Sconser Lodge. Isle di Skye Trotternish Peninsula, Kilt Rock , Lealt Falls, Old Man of Storr, Staffin Beach , Quiraing , Fairy Glen , Portree. Night 2 at Sconser Lodge. Talisker Distillery Tour, Dunvegan Castle, Coral Beach , Cuillin Mountains, Glenfinnan , Night at Fort William. Trossachs National Park & Loch Lomond , Kilchurn Castle , Luss , Doune Castle , Stirling , Kelpies , Glasgow.and back to Edinburgh. Everything went smoothly. Scotland especially in the North is a different plane per se. We loved it! I forgot a couple of important things. We were there when lambkin were very small: lots and lots of then. Just great to see with the mother! My favorite though are the Hair Coo. I was very happy to find a scarf dotted by small picture of them… A super nice trip altogether . Our only big regret is that, because of our flight schedule, we did not spend enough time in Edinburgh and zipped through Glasgow. To be noticed that I am will be soon 79.

I know it's your job and you do it everyday, but the personal details, passionate effort and communication you invested made our vacation feel so custom to us. The self guided tour included a packet ready at the hotel and had such a great agenda with step by step instructions even a hand written and highlighted map - made us feel so confident like invincible Rockstar's! Fantastic experience: We just came back from our Classic Scandinavian Tour and couldn't have had a better time! It was our first time to this part of the world and NV's Cicci Eriksson gave us the best service from the very beginning, amounting to a trip that has left us with wonderful lifelong memories. Fantastic experience: My wife and I did a custom self driving tour in March 2023. Our consultant Chris Glauche was excellent and everything was handled with professionalism and care from the start. All information was clear and easy to follow and all of the small touches from the highlighted maps to the restaurant recommendations were fantastic. We had a fantastic time in Scotland and look forward to visiting again in the near future.

Fantastic experience: Working with Nordic Visitor for our trip to Scotland was a wonderful experience. Once we chose the trip we wanted, Nordic Visitor assigned us a personal agent who was very responsive to our needs and questions leading up to the trip. Their follow up and response was always timely even when I had a question while we were on the trip. All of the accommodations were delightful. Their welcome packet contained everything we needed to follow their recommendations, but even had flexibility for us to make our own choices along the way. We cannot wait for our next adventure with Nordic Visitor.

Positive experience: We spent two weeks in Ireland and Scotland on a guided Nordic Visitor Tour. I enjoyed Ireland the most so will focus on that. Small group of 8 people was nice. We enjoyed the Dylan in Dublin and nearby pub Searsons. Loved our bartender Stuart very much! As we ventured over to Galway we stopped at a local distillery- very fun. The highlight of our trip were the Aran Islands which were stunning. Enjoyed the beautiful Cliffs of Moher very much. Our guide Brian Simpson was incredible. Very, very knowledgeable and very Irish! His folksy stories and occasional songs were a highlight of our trip. Melissa our driver was a great sidekick to Brian! Nordic did a nice job with all the hotels on our trip. Enjoyed the group dinners but recommend breaking away occasionally to discover local restaurants. Also enjoyed our week in Scotland with Barbara! She did a great job with a bigger group of 14. Wonderful hotels, beautiful scenery and boy if you like castles you’ll love Scotland! We stayed two nights in Isle of Skye at a beautiful hotel with ocean views and had dinner at a restaurant reserved for just our group. Overall a great experience.

Fantastic experience: Duncan did an amazing job for our self drive tour—maps, ferries, accommodation, time scheduling, suggestions, guides we’re all most helpful and reassuring. We were just able to plan each day knowing that all the hard work had been done. We had a fabulous time hopping among Scotlands is islands, drove over 4000km, saw amazing places, met wonderful people, and dined superbly. Thank you. Fantastic experience: My son and I returned from our Nordic self-driving tour of Scotland's Highlands and Islands last week. We can't say enough about Rebecca and the company in laying out the best of castles, distilleries, quaint towns and hairy coos! From the first cabbie in Edinburgh to the lady at the little shop on Iona, we honestly never met an unfriendly Scot. Great people ! Great company! Great trip!

Fantastic experience: We just got back from a self-drive tour in Scotland, and the entire experience was fantastic! Duncan was wonderful to work with, especially when we had hiccups like a broken ferry or cancelled flight. The daily itineraries (a long with restaurant and travel guides) were so helpful in giving ideas of what to do each day. One person in our group walks with a cane, so we replaced some of the longer hikes with different things like shopping or castles. All of the accomodations were great, but the B&Bs on Orkney and Isle of Skye were the highlights. The hosts were amazing and the breakfasts were delicious.

Fantastic experience: We just finished a delightful two-week driving tour of Scotland using the assistance of Rebecca and Nordic Visitor to arrange accommodations and itinerary. We could not be happier! Each stay was unique, the driving suggestions allowed us to experience stunning scenery, and the chance to meet "locals" was a plus. Overall, just a spectacular trip! We travel a lot, and this trip was among the best ever. Highly recommended!

This was the second trip through Nordic Visitor. Last year my son and I did Iceland and it was a success as well. Highly recommended, can't wait to go away again with Nordic Visitor in charge!

Fantastic experience: I just finished my trip with Nordic Visitor and I could not be happier with my experience! I had been wanting to do a solo trip around Scotland, focusing on whisky for years now, so there was a lot of anticipation leading up to it! The team at Nordic got everything right— excellent communication, great suggestions on what to see/ do, beautiful accommodation options and they really made everything seamless and worry free. I worked with Chris for the planning stage, who was awesome and put up with I think about 1,000 emails from me asking his thoughts on different whisky tours/ distilleries My guide, Pete was also just incredible— he was able to help me fit in so many more distilleries than I had originally hoped and offered up awesome suggestions for things to see, and is just overall a great guy, really made the trip. If you are considering booking with them, do it!

Fantastic experience: Highly recommended! The team put together every thing you need so you just have to arrive and follow their maps and booklet on exactly where to go what to do incredible places to see etc. Takes all the stress out of planning a holiday and you get to actually relax while on holiday because everything is taken care of. Fantastic experience: Nordic Visitor helped us have a fantastic vacation in Ireland. We toured for 10 days and everything went very smoothly. The accommodation has been always of good quality, comfortable and conveniently located, the recommendations for things to see have been very useful and well chosen and the support throughout the planning and booking process very prompt and professional.

Fantastic experience: After a couple of what felt like house arrest years during the COVID pandemic, we were chomping at the bit to get back overseas. The 4 of us (all well-travelled worldwide) chose Scotland as our destination; one of us found Nordic Visitor online. We were a bit uneasy about a company of whom we had zero first hand knowledge, but WOW, did they deliver!! They took our interests into account as well as the physical limitations of one of us and designed a trip that was far better than anything we could have planned on our own. The hotels and inns were great, the guidebooks helpfully informative and the world’s largest map (marked with routes and sights) vital to the success of the trip. I can’t praise them highly enough and wish they would expand to cover all of Europe! Thank you, Rebecca, and everyone else who helped make our trip memorable.

Fantastic experience: My wife, granddaughter and myself took the Wonders of Scotland tour with Nordic holidays in July (2022) and were very pleased with the service we received from Nordic, the accommodations provided and the guided tour. All was first rate and we are very glad that we went with the guided tour as opposed to a self drive tour. Our guide was able to provide much more insight to the various areas visited (and history) than would have otherwise been possible. Five stars for sure.

Fantastic experience: We have just returned from the Classic Scotland tour arranged for us by Rebecca. We were a bit apprehensive about finalizing our trip as we are four seniors; one of us requires a walker/wheelchair and oxygen. With the uncertainty of the Covid situation, we waited until the last minute to pay the balance of the trip. Realizing we may not have given Rebecca enough time to secure choice hotels, we were very pleased with the accommodations of lovely county bed and breakfasts and a very modern, well situated hotel in Edinburgh. The itinerary was perfect . We were given a detailed map with optional routes and a booklet explaining the different sites. Though we did not need it, the hotline was a comforting assurance. I highly recommend Nordic Visitor to anyone who would like to visit Scotland in their own auto rather than a large tour bus! We look forward to visiting some of the other countries they serve.

Fantastic experience: We have recently completed a North Coast 500 tour arranged by Rebecca at Nordic. It was an awesome experience and Rebecca was brilliant and happy to make tweaks to the tour to suit our travelling arrangements. At our first hotel in Edinburgh we were provided with a full pack with our itinerary printed and a road map with the route, suggested places to visit and the Guest Houses all personally highlighted. The accommodation was excellent and we had no issues whatsoever.

Fantastic experience: I had the best time on my tour of Scotland. The hotel bookings were just awesome, the tour itself was just the best. There were plenty of places to visit each day, so one could kind of pick and choose, which was really nice. I had the best guide, he really knew his history, and so the entire trip went without a single hitch. I highly recommend Nordic Visitor to anyone contemplating a trip to Scotland.

Fantastic experience: My wife and I had a wonderful experience and an excellent tour through Scotland from August 5 through August 13, 2022. The "Outlander Tour" arranged by Rebecca Avraam through Nordic Visitor Tours was superb. Our accommodations and tour sites were great. Our personal tour guide, Peter Milne, was exceptional because of his personality and encyclopedic knowledge.

Fantastic experience: Our extended family of 12 had a wonderful self drive two week holiday in Scotland, planned by Rebecca at Nordic Visitor. At our request, most of the trip was in the west and north of Scotland including Skye and Orkney. Some very unique, small hotels such as the Sconser Inn made it all the more enjoyable.

Fantastic experience: We booked the self-driving 9 night/10 day tour of "Classic Scotland". We were a large group of 9 family members and it was wonderful. It only made us all want to visit again, over and over. Nordic was great to work with and offered suggestions when we encountered some unexpected medical situations. I really appreciated the 24/7 helpline as my elderly mother became very ill and was admitted into the hospital for a few days. The helpline assisted with extending our stay at one location and cancelled another for us due to the circumstances. I can not recommend them and their staff enough.

Fantastic experience: We would highly recommend Nordic Visitor to book with. They were very professional, thorough, knowledgeable in providing us with a great 10 day driving tour of Scotland. There was a comprehensive tour guide book with suggestions and routes that made for a great time and a lovely momento. When we wanted to change itinerary whilst travelling they arranged additional accommodation and rental vechicle. The b&bs were generally very good and well situated in towns. Booking from Australia, their advice made our travels very easy.

Fantastic experience: We had the best time in Scotland. Pickup service was prompt and super friendly. Our guide, Chris, was amazing! He was well informed and gave us a great education in Scottish history and traditions. He provided so many interesting details and fun facts. Chris made it his goal to fit in everything we wanted to see plus his suggestions which were the best parts. The short show, by Anthony, about the Highland Clans was my absolute favorite.. you won’t want to miss it! Duncan with Nordic Visitor made the planning easy and was very responsive, even once we were in Scotland. We had a last minute need for a wheelchair and he made it happen in 24 hours! Thank you, thank you. Highly recommend!!!

Negative experience: I would not recommend Nordic Visitor UK. Just completed Scotland trip. Accommodations, driver/guide, food, etc was average at best. You ate dinner in hotels along the way with group. Most days driver was late and rather disorganized. We rarely knew our daily agenda. Lunches were typically at 2pm and rushed due to lack of an actual plan. Nordic needs to do a better job providing consistency among professional guides/drivers. All that to say, the last two days of our trip we were provided a new guide/driver who was very good. He was on time, had a plan and knew the history of Scotland.

Fantastic experience: My wife and I did the Scotland/Ireland self driving tour. Emily our coordinator did a fantastic job. Everything was planned to perfection. It was an amazing experience. Their custom book made for us explained everything and all vouchers, for hotels, ferries, and airplane to Dublin were included.
