We were lucky to have Tracey as our travel consultant, and after one 30 minute zoom call of getting to know us, Tracey prepared two exceptional honeymoon proposals to choose from, where she was able to tailor them to exactly what we wanted. Fantastic experience: We went through Travel Nation to organize our world tour, specifically to get a round-the-world ticket for a 10-month trip, which offered us a lot of flexibility during our project since we were able to change the dates of almost all our flights upon request and numerous times. We received excellent advice, and the ticket allowed us to visit all the countries we wanted. Important things to know: - The order of countries is determined by the direction of travel, either east to west or west to east. You cannot zigzag between countries; - The order of countries cannot be changed once the trip has started; - Reservations are made with only one alliance (Star Alliance in our case). If a country is not served by the alliance, then a separate ticket must be purchased; - Dates can be changed upon request, and we did it for all our tickets except one. It was clearly a huge plus to communicate via email with the agency. - If we modify a ticket, we noticed that we were not necessarily seated next to each other on the flight, which is understandable since the flights were already almost full; - We did not use the agency to book other things such as rental vehicles, so no feedback on that; We recommend!

The advantage of these round-the-world tickets is that you can change your flight dates for free (provided you do it a bit in advance). For the 2-3 times we requested to change our flights, Audric was always very responsive. I would advise that you think carefully about your destinations before booking your round-the-world ticket. Because indeed, if you want to cancel a destination or replace one destination with another during your trip (which can happen when traveling for several months), you will incur additional fees. Positive experience: Very good contact with Travel Nation (Marie). A TDM ticket purchased in 2022 at a very good price considering our itinerary. Unfortunately, we were not lucky with many flights. Solutions were found (and it was difficult and stressful with the time difference). There are advantages and disadvantages to taking TDM tickets, but if you have an agency to choose for this type of ticket, I recommend them.

Fantastic experience: I had booked my tickets for a TDM in 2020 shortly before Covid arrived. I had taken cancellation insurance just in case and I was refunded for all my flights without having to do anything, Travel Nation took care of everything. So I went back through this agency in 2022 for a trip planned for 2022-2023. Véronique gave me great advice regarding possible routes (depending on the countries I absolutely wanted to visit), she was very responsive and answered all my questions. I didn't encounter any major issues during my trip so I can't provide feedback on the emergency line or travel insurance (but luckily so!). I highly recommend this agency!

Fantastic experience: With TRAVELNATION we were able to make a World Tour in July 2023 under excellent conditions. Their advice regarding the countries to visit on the route, taking into account the season for each, opting for reputable airlines at the best cost. Negative experience: An expensive mistake choosing this company. Too many things went wrong on what should have been a memorable holiday and family reunion in NZ and Malaysia. Inadequate, shabby accommodation for the most part, a promised meet and greet turned out to be a shuttle bus, in one instance, on arrival in Auckland after a long flight the wrong hotel was named in our booking confirmation, and worst of all, a reluctance by the agent and later, the MD, to take ownership for the problems we encountered. Blaming Covid at this present time is simply not acceptable. As B&B owners during those times, we are perfectly aware of how hard these times were. NB To set the record straight, we received a refund of £102 when the cost of our trip was approx. £8500. Three of the hotels selected by Travel Nation over the 18 days were well below standard.

Negative experience: To be honest, I cannot recommend Travel Nation service, in my case I bought them a Round The World plane ticket. First of all, when I bought the trip, it included Africa but after Covid they forced me to do it without a Continent. During the trip, I did not feel any kind of concern or care for me and even when I asked for help to find out about requirements to enter a country, I was not provided with this information. On top of all this, if I wanted to change a flight date, I would have to pay, but they changed my Turkish Airlines flight to Istanbul twice and I was not entitled to any kind of compensation. As if all this were not enough, on the final stretch of my trip I had to return to Lisbon in an emergency due to the death of my father-in-law. I notified the agency more than 2 weeks in advance that I would not be able to attend the Kathmandu > Istanbul flight (creating an opportunity to the Airline make more money with an already paid flight), but that I wanted to keep the Istanbul > Lisbon flight, both on Turkish Airlines. The travel manager Claire was kind but unable to handle the issue in the fairest and most suitable way for me because I had to pay an extra GBP 55.60 for the exact same flight I already had paid from Istanbul to Lisbon. ‍♂️ For the above, my experience with Travel Nation was not positive neither fair for any average reasonable human being and was based on more fame than profit. ___________ I edit my review as a way to be able to give feedback to the feedback received from Travel Nation, for the writing of Mr. Jonny Goodall: Dear Mr. Jonny Goodall, First of all, thank you for your feedback, however, taking into account the content of the same, it is clear that your sole interest is to improve your argumentative skills and not the Travel Nation service, which was my intention when I had the trouble to write you a sustained review. For this reason, I am sorry that you have such a diametrically opposed view from what happened and that reality, naturally, you have not experienced it as I have. I recognize your marketing skills, but your feedback reinforces and confirms what was the direction of my review... it is a marketing empty of sustenance, little interested in learning from the reviews that are less favorable. He helped us to decide on an itinerary and made recommendations for activities along the way that we hadn’t otherwise considered that made the trip so special. Every last detail was thought of and arranged for us, all we had to do was turn up at the airport. There were no hidden costs with travel nation, anything not included in the price was clearly listed. This is the second time using travel nation and we will certainly be using them again to plan future holidays as we know the customer service can’t be beaten and the trip will always exceed our expectations.

Fantastic experience: We used Travel Nation for a round-the-world ticket in 2022 after doing several searches and comparisons. Beyond establishing a trusting relationship with our contact person, we changed our travel dates three times and our itinerary once, all without any issues. Having a 24/7 emergency line reassured us, and we used it once. There is a significant element of luck in having no problems with airlines on a long trip, but we were in constant contact with Travel Nation, whose responsiveness and commitment to finding the best solutions in case of a setback we can highlight.

Fantastic experience: We used the services of Travel Nation to arrange our plane tickets for a 4-month round-the-world tour. Our contact person, Marie, was attentive to our needs and provided us with excellent advice. We had friendly and constructive exchanges throughout the planning of this trip. During our journey, which included about twenty flights, we never encountered any issues with flights or luggage. The check-ins for each flight were very easy to perform from our simple smartphone. I highly recommend this travel agency.

Fantastic experience: I used travelnation service to build my roud-the-world flight ticket. My family and I (2 adults and 2 children) traveled for a year around the world from Jan 2022 to Jan 2023, i.e. during Covid. I am definitely happy with travelnation, especially with Liz who supported us. First of all, due to Covid, I had to wait for the very last minute before booking all tickets (2 weeks prior to departure). I tried to contact some other agencies focused on multi-destination long-lasting trips. Others told me it was just not possible with boarder closure. Only Tranvelnation made the effort to build a quote matching my itinerary (including Africa) Then I had to modify quite a few time my bookings while traveling. As said in the general terms, I had to pay taxes if changing an airport. But that said, Liz managed to get refunds for cancelled flights as well as found interesting flights so my overall budget was almost not impacted. During such a long trip, there were also unexpected flight changes. Whatever the day and whatever the time, I was able to get someone from Travelnation over the phone in a minute to get assistance. And at the end, we were never stucked anywhere and we felt travelnation's team really cared! Quite a long comment to say how happy I am about travelnation during our trip of a lifetime. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: We have just come back from our Maldives honeymoon and it was absolutely fantastic, we feel so lucky to have experienced this holiday and the memories will last a lifetime. Fantastic experience: In 2016, Trave Nation arranged a multi country trip that was originally planned for my partner and myself. He sadly passed away suddenly, a few weeks before we were set to travel. Their compassion and kindness at this time was outstanding. They sprung into action to refund all the expenses and I got every penny back. I didn't have to spend a minute worrying about it and was left to grieve my loss. Some 6 months later, I decided to go it alone. They planned an amazing round the world trip for me with great price points that allowed me to keep the majority of my budget for spending. It was the best decision I ever made. I would 100% recommend Travel Nation.

Negative experience: Canceled flights and not refunded by the agency. After-sales service is very average.

Negative experience: We had planned a trip with Travel Nation for June 2020 that had to be canceled due to Covid. We specifically had a return flight with Air Transat from Canada to Paris. For this flight, we received neither a credit nor a refund because the flight departed, but we were unable to be in Canada in mid-August. We have been trying in vain to contact Liz at Travel Nation, who has not responded for months; however, we are supposed to receive at least a credit. Could you please get back to us? Beyond this ticket, we left a 10% commission to Travel Nation for a trip that did not take place, and we were also penalized by the exchange rates. In short, a bad experience.

Negative experience: We had booked all our trips with Travel Nation for a world tour planned for January 2020. For an amount of almost 7000 euros. We had requested flexibility on our flight dates. Up until then, everything was fine; our contact person Véronique was responsive and answered our requests. So we were set to depart on January 1, 2020, flying from Paris to Buenos Aires. Then everyone knows the rest, COVID, so we had to cut our world tour short to return to France at our own expense. We began the reimbursement process with Travel Nation, and of course, as soon as it comes to reimbursing people, Travel Nation is much less responsive. This led to a multitude of exchanges via email and phone, with follow-ups. The file ended up being taken over by Lise, who did not provide us with a clear answer. In the end, we were reimbursed just over 3000 euros out of the 6900 euros spent, even though we had only used one flight. So, the flight from Paris to Buenos Aires turned out to be very expensive. We requested explanations and a breakdown of the price of the consumed flight. She was supposed to respond to us, but we never received an answer from her. She even seemed to lose patience and we appeared to annoy her with our calls. Two years later, still nothing. Agency to avoid! Next time, we will book our tickets ourselves. Really disappointed with this agency that seemed serious, professional, and attentive to its clients. So yes, they're quick to take the money! I strongly advise against them.

Negative experience: Hello, We are extremely disappointed with the attitude of Travel Nation. We had booked all our tickets for a family world tour with Liz in January 2020. Everything was simple and friendly, even though it lacked transparency on prices and their commission. In short, due to the health crisis, our trip was canceled (as of March/April 2020). And the beginning of the ordeal to get refunded started: the contact person was difficult to reach, vague responses, it really took perseverance and the refunds came in dribs and drabs, each time after numerous follow-ups, very often left unanswered. It was as if our calls and follow-ups generated the refunds, strange... Today, two years after our payment, we are still waiting for clarity regarding one of the flights and its potential refund/credit. For an amount of €2500. The last news from Liz dates back to October 2021 when she assured us she would get back to us in a few days. Since then, 3 or 4 follow-ups from us, all left unanswered. Hence this review. Because it is no longer possible to feel like we are being taken for fools. Of all the people we know who have canceled their trips due to the pandemic, we are the only ones in such a situation. We thought we were protected by going through an agency, but it is actually a lot of opacity. We are disappointed by their lack of professionalism, it is a lack of respect for customers and a very poor image that Travel Nation conveys. What a pity, really a pity.
