Fantastic experience: Such lovely staff. Their machines aren't great cos of the WiFi but they were so sweet and understanding when I got frustrated over an error in the system. My only advice is pay in cash and please don't get mad at them when their machines don't work.

Positive experience: Very helpful staff in the shop. Annual bus passes have gone up dramatically over the last few years, making it more and more expensive. Don't know how this is justified, and will soon become too expensive.

Negative experience: I just went to the store and wanted to find my AirPods case. Because my iPhone matches the case and says it’s in this store right now. So I went in and asked the staff if they could help me look for it. The attitude of the staff was terrible from the beginning! The location is clearly in the store, but he also said that this is in the next door with very reluctant expression. The staff doesn’t want to search anything until I provided the exact bus information, the date of loss, and a picture of my missing AirPods. Then he found it and joked that it was his and wouldn't return it to me. He said I had to Bluetooth it to my phone before I could return it. But it had some mistakes in the middle that made it impossible to connect. BUT I gave him a lot of accurate information instead and he still didn't believe me. There was a long standoff before he got me to sign and very bad attitude throughout! May I ask if I lost a bag, do I need to connect it with Bluetooth to retrieve it? Or do I need to provide the factory code of the bag to proof it was mine??? What a ridiculous behavior! This staff deliberately create difficulties for me and ruined my day!

Negative experience: The staff was really unhelpful and rude, i tried to renew my bus card and they were very mean to me and didn’t give me proper solutions. Also, the price of the bus is really expensive and the buses are delay and dirty most of the time.

Fantastic experience: Came in to Brighton travel shop on Saturday morning to find out some information about the buses running with the marathon and was helped my a man called Danny and a small blonde lady with glasses on who gave the correct information for how I can travel around the city while waiting for them to print of the information lovely customer service from both of them

Negative experience: Unhelpful staff with one young lady particularly rude but got the problem solved by getting in contact with Brighton&Hove buses customer services in Conway St who went out of their way to help me.

Negative experience: I can't speak for the shop but the company as a whole was subpar before & now is atrocious. Buses are reguarly 40+ minutes late, if they even turn up, then you're lucky if you can even get on board - especially on football game days when it would be logical to increase the buses running that route. I've witnessed wheelchair users being refused access due to buggies being on board (these can & should be collapsed to allow a wheelchair user to board) then the recent barbaric shooting of a pigeon at the depot. Tickets cost a small fortune, yet the service doesn't reflect this.

Negative experience: Was very disappointed sending my mum in to buy tickets I'd found online to find out after she'd been charged more simply for going into the shop. I called to see if they could honour the online price considering she did old school and got the bus into town to do the transaction in person but they wouldn't budge despite her being 76 years old. Shameful.

Fantastic experience: It is so good to have a proper advice shop staffed by human beings where you can get advice & bus timetables. Long may it stay! So many towns & cities (including my own city of Birmingham), have no such facility. If you can't afford a smartphone or data, or a computer, you are stuck. Everyone should have access to travel timetables & advice!

Negative experience: I went to buy train tickets like I used to do a few years ago. Now they only sell bus tickets for local buses and National Express. I was advised to get the tickets from the train company's app or buy them at the station. Alas, the machines at the train station rarely, if ever, offer you the cheapest tickets.
Unfortunately rail was no longer viable any longer, but as you were informed, happy to provide the information as to where to buy the tickets from.
Negative experience: Staff really unhelpful. I've been over charged using comtactless and they refused to give me a refund on the day I was over charged. Will be making plans to stop using the bus services as it is very expensive for a service that isn't always punctual.

Positive experience: Its private bus hire. We use it for school travelling. I just felt that some drivers are rude and if 2 buses coming together, the behind will skip that stop. Thats not good as what if the first bus is full and some kids have to take another one.

Negative experience: Last year same shop, Efficient & well organised. Tickets for trains coaches & buses. Take a ticket then sit & wait your turn. Helpful friendly staff. Good advice too. Yes I wrote that last year. Today in the same one stop shop on North Street, cut in half there were three staff. One was supposedly greeting and presumably there to organise the clients but effectively just doing nothing. There was one very efficient member of staff but to deal with too many customers he could not be expected to stretch himself that far. The other sat with a couple for more than half an hour and didn't know half the answers to their questions. Besides to "download" necessary forms they had to stand in the shop window for a very long time with their phones raised above their heads!! It was frustrating and rediculous. They sold me £50 if "tickets" on a dead outdated card. Luckily then the only interested one in the shop took over. What a difference from last year!! Are Brighton buses so uninterested in selling tickets? One star only for the gentleman who finally sorted out the middle made previously by the other two. The rest was unacceptable inefficiency. You might as well close it down. Unheplpful and badly organised and understaffed.
Positive experience: The building is bright, clean and welcoming. Though, when I was being helped with my issue with the Brighton and Hove Bus App, it seemed like the staff had little interest in resolving the matter. It made me feel as if I were a nuisance.
Negative experience: Went for an Id that they couldn't make as their printers are out of action. Fair enough - but couldn't post them on when done or even ring us! No really helpful.
Apologies for this, I will advise them to be aware of other options in the future.
Positive experience: Very helpful and friendly staff, I had a problem with my keycard. Popped in to see someone about it, was queuing for a while but once I was seen the problem didn't take long to get solved. The lady who served me was great, helped me solve the issue right away and answered all my questions. Cons: you might be queuing for a while. Pros: the service is prompt once you are seen.

Negative experience: How rude the driver, bus number 5B 305 at 15.25 on Thursday 13/02/2020 at bus stop Hove tavern didn't want to us get on the bus also there were free seats. as we pay for ticket but can't use the bus. So that means don't rely on buses as they have some rude drivers
