Fantastic experience: We began our relationship with Bournecoast back in 2003 using them for holiday & short term lets & then then to full management when a move abroad happened in 2007. With a relationship that has spanned over 20 years the key thing Bournecoast have always done so well has been to make you feel valued as an owner! This simply cannot be overstated & they have always had our best interests at heart. Being non-resident, this was always extremely important to us. Then when we faced some challenges with some tenants, they got completely involved & handled things with no drama or fuss, taking their kudos with us into the stratosphere!! In addition to this, the way in which the property was managed from a maintenance point of view was also excellent, ensuring the property was ALWAYS at its best & repairs/maintenance issues always immediately addressed & not allowed to build up. I can only assume this was equally as reassuring to the tenants, as well. This clearly could not be possible without a strong team who have always strived for the best values Bournecoast clearly hold so dear. I would have no hesitation in recommending Bourecoast as a rental partner & add into that, they are simply nice people from tip to tail.

Fantastic experience: Stayed at property 6275 wootton mount. It was a beautiful apartment with a balcony and free parking on site. Everything was excellent, Clean and beautiful apartment. Big shout out to Marc, he was very helpful when it came to booking this apartment

Negative experience: We had to notice that the accommodation was located in a rather run-down part. The house itself looked well maintained. Picking up the keys was easy. The lock did not work well. There were stains on the floor in the hallway. In the apartment, there was a foul smell (a mixture of mold and sewage). The sofa bed also had stains that could have been yogurt or bodily fluids. Opening the sofa bed revealed more dirt (M&Ms and crumbs). In the cabinets, there were food scraps with maggots. The blankets were dirty and stained. They were exchanged upon request. Trash was then left behind. The bed covers had holes, the bathroom cabinet was moldy, the neighbors were smoking and were so loud that the children woke up and cried, the pots were burned, the dishes dirty, and the carpets sandy and dusty. The clothesline was too short for more than one person. The terrace was okay. The agents were diligent but not really interested. We had to stay in this apartment with two children because they didn't want to refund our money, so we couldn't look for something better. They changed the blanket but left the trash behind and much more. Stay away from this!!
Negative experience: very unhelpful agency ,should be letting prison rooms not holiday apartments. Broken bed in property we was staying , with very cheap bedding and horrible cheap pillows , drilling noise at 11 pm on Sunday till midnight. not mentioning very tiny apartments and leaking shower head , plus fruit flies and smelly drains .

Whilst we appreciate your feedback it does come as a bit of a surprise to us because this accommodation historically has very good reviews with an average of 4.67 stars out of 5 on Airbnb and many guests have given it a 5 star review. We understand you had some concerns about the bed on your arrival and you contacted our Customer Service team. The owner came straight to the property to assist you. It is a shame you still felt the bed was not suitable after this and we can only assume that on this occasion it is possibly that your expectations were much higher than other guests who have previously stayed at the property. A recent review by another guest says
"What a gem of a little place !! Hosts were quick getting back with queries, it was light airy and very clean !!! Perfect location to get to everywhere and welcome pack of things to do etc was extremely useful. All made my break a seamless experience, thank you guys so much, I will definitely be back !!! ❤️".

Negative experience: If I could just start off with a positive and say that I really enjoyed my stay at this apartment bright modern and Perfectly located, but unfortunately a few things let it down I wasn’t able to gain entry to the property to start off with it was a real struggle to get the door unlocked after phoning the agents and getting no reply I had to phone the homeowner who was more than happy to help, the cleanliness of the flat at first glance was amazing , but it soon came alight after unpacking it was clear the floors hadn’t been mopped my socks were black tea stains down the side of the sofa, long hairs found over the pillows and sofa , food in the drawer lip under the oven , make up , tea stains and squashed big on the skirting board in the bed room, Thankfully due to all the good weather I wasn’t in the apartment long but only to sleep however I did have an early departure due to noisy group of 5 girls

We are very sorry to hear that you had an issue with the lock on arrival, maintenance issues can occur at any time and the owner was the correct person to contact under these circumstances as they manage their own bookings and maintenance issues. We are pleased to hear they dealt with the issue so promptly. We appreciate your additional comments and we are sorry the cleanliness did not meet your expectations. The owner of this property does use a contracted Changeover Agent to prepare the property before each booking and the owner asks them to leave a feedback card with contact information. These cards do ask you to contact them if there are any issues with the cleaning on your arrival. It is a shame you did not let us or them know at the start of your holiday as they would have been more than happy to come back and rectify anything that was not cleaned to their usual standard. We will of course provide this feedback to the company and the owner so they can make every effort to ensure the cleanliness is up to the usual standard expected for every arrival. We understand how important this is, especially with the current situation and the company are using a Covid cleaning spray to protect against viruses for each booking. Negative experience: DONT RECOMMENDED, take photos of every single detail of the property on the arrival as I have been robed out of my pet deposit, on damages already existing! We had bad luck staying at the 35 De Havilland Way, Christchurch BH23 4DQ, the property looks alright on the photos, on arrival expect to be welcomed by bad smell of old dirt covered with multiple artificial odours not managing to cover on expect, expect to discover many faults while staying, that you will later be charged for ... like falling off door handles, bad plumbing, consistently opening fridge door, marks and scratches actually everywhere ... ahh and huge plastic plant covered with dust, never been more disappointed ... Bournecoast agency left us to deal with rude owner as she manages the property
Hi Natu, we very sorry to hear you are disappointed with the deposit return from the owner. Whilst we appreciate your comments and feedback, we do feel it is unfair to use a Google review to vent your frustration at something that is out of our control. We do not manage this particular accommodation, we are just a booking agency on behalf of the owner and the dispute you have is with the charges the owner has made against your deposit. Whilst there are two sides to every story, the owner feels justified in making charges due to the way the property was left on your departure. To dispute any charges there are correct and formal ways to do so which we can help guide you through if you wish to accept our assistance. Unfortunately using our Google Business account to leave an online review as retaliation against the owner is very unlikely to have any affect on the owner’s decision in relation to the deposit return. Negative experience: Shower in the property had broken and was given a date and time to wait in for it to be replaced. Waited in and nobody arrived, contacted the contractor and bournecoast and nothing had been agreed but nobody had the common courtesy to let me know I didn't have to waste my day waiting in and to top it all off because of this we were told we now will likely be without a shower all over the Christmas period. Not the 1st time we have been let down in this way by bournecoast I must add.

Fantastic experience: Wow, what an amazing property Dean Park Manor is. It far exceeded my expectations. We went there for 4 nights for a multigenerational holiday to celebrate my Sons 40th Birthday. 16 of us . The house was so enchanting and had everything for all the Family. The children played for hours in the pool, and the very large swim spa was perfect for all the adults. The front lawn was a great place to play family cricket and Rounders and the children were completely safe playing hide and seek around the gardens. As for the house inside... WOW... magnificent size and beautifully furnished to a very high standard. Very well equipped with everything . The Pool table was also a Family favourite . The bedrooms were all well furnished , and with very comfortable beds. The whole interior design with the soft furnishings was beautiful. The house lends extremely well to a family holiday but I can also see how well it would lend to a Corporate event with the prestigious and very elegant formal dining room overlooking the garden. My Son owns his own Company and he would definitely use the Property for a Team away weekend. We would definately go back again as well as a family. The owners were both extremely friendly and very helpful . They welcomed us into their house and made us feel very at home. We made such wonderful memories there. AMAZING, simply loved it.

Fantastic experience: We used to book our holiday with Bournecoast almost every year with our young family. We were always very happy with the accommodation and service. Now our brood have left the nest we paid another visit this August. Same good service. Accommodated our rather awkward dates. Fantastic experience: We went to Southbourne on holiday as a family- me and my husband and my parents. The apartment where we stayed was well-equipped and immaculately clean and right near the beach. Information on everything you needed was available. There were also beach chairs and a mat and an umbrella to take to the beach. From booking to the returning of our deposit (paid in case of damage etc) and picking up our key the service was seamless. Also any e mails I send were replied to in a timely manner. We can definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: 5*Great accommodation to stay in for 4 people. Plenty of room and all what you need included. The shopping centre was 10 minutes walk top of the road and we could get everything we needed any time. We felt like in home. The place is just a steps down from the Boscombe beach. It was very quiet in the building while we were in with easy access 1st floor apartament with sea view Well equipped and decorated. I felt in love with your hoover (looking to get one too )

Negative experience: Very poor service and poor communication with prospective tenants
Dear Ken, thank you for taking the time to review our company however we do believe your review is very unfair. We appreciate that the unfortunate fact that your situation did not allow us to assist you under the current Government COVID restrictions did disappoint you, however we do not feel we are to blame for those restrictions being put in place. Fantastic experience: From first going into the office the staff were incredibly friendly and professional at all times. I rented a short term flat which actually turned into almost 2 years as the owner was very flexible over the various lockdown times and Bournecoast always kept in touch asking if I would like to extend the rental agreement. Fantastic experience: We needed to rent a property for a few weeks, as we had a gap between a house sale and a purchase. The team at Bournecoast could not have been more helpful. With four kids and two dogs, also with a need for a decent internet connection for home working and home schooling, we had quite demanding requirments...no problem, these were met without issue. We had the most amazing time, with stunning sea views and would highly recommend both the property and using Bournecoast. None of us wanted to leave!!! Thanks for everything.

One member of staff even stopped her food shopping to come and give us the spare key to our property as we had locked ourselves out - that's what I call fabulous service. Negative experience: While I had a good pre- rental experience with Mark and Stephanie, during the rental and post rental experience is very poor. I was in a flat from September 2018 and had to vacate the flat for 10 weeks July-September 2019. Bournecoast charged me an extension fee (valid) and then administration fee of £370 in March 2019 although I was returning to same flat after July 2019 - in September 2019. They did not issue a tenancy agreement before the laws changed on 1st June 2019. As the tenancy was for September 2019, I should not have been changed any agents fees. But they have charged and kept the money for paperwork on an existing tenant!!! Numerous mail exchanges and their ‘legal’ advice is that the admin fee is valid for a property for which there was no tenancy agreement before 1st June 2019!!! I was impressed by the family run business but it’s no different from other money making agencies!! Till date my money has not been returned! Reply to Bournecoast - thanks for your quick response. Please correct some facts. You took administration fee of £375 in March 2019 but NO tenancy agreement was ever signed. The two reasons why I did not return to the flat after 10 weeks is because you refused to return the unlawful administration fee and secondly, despite my money with you, you advertised the property again. You were well aware I was away from the country with limited network access. I was overseas when I saw the flat that you had kept administration fee for with NO tenancy agreement in place, was advertised on your website. I emailed you quoting the above reasons for withdrawing AFTER I saw your advert. I wanted to return to the flat. You quickly found the owner new tenants and kept my money! You quote landlord and tenants for bad reviews. Please take some responsibility for practices where a very well established property business ( not a small family run business) is pocketing money off tenants. It’s because of this new Tenancy Act came into place from 1st June 2019! Despite the bad experience with you, I still hold high opinion of Bournecoast but the review stands as it is because of admin fee and poor experience during and after tenancy! Sorry!

Whilst we appreciate that you were disappointed with the situation regarding the tenancy administration costs, this was explained to you when you reserved the property for a second tenancy and you entered into the agreement at that time. When you decided not to go ahead with the tenancy at the very last minute, having held the property for a number of months, we were under the impression that you understood this left the owner in a very difficult financial situation and with associated costs. It is disappointing for small family run companies, like Bournecoast, when they receive a low rating as a result of an action that has been requested by the landlord as a result of an action by the tenant. Fantastic experience: I was so glad that I chose to use Bournecoast Holidays to book the apartment for our 2 week holiday. The apartment we booked was lovely and far exceeded our expectations. It was spotlessly clean and every detail had been considered. This was a family gathering in Bournemouth for 2 weeks and my brother had rented an Air BnB for his family and it was dreadful in comparison compared to the flat we had through Bournecoast Holidays. I can not recommend this company highly enough and the service that we received from Levine was absolutely outstanding. She took care of our every need, answered all of our question by email within minutes and proactively ensured our stay was as enjoyable as possible. Fantastic experience: Visited Bournecoast to investigate the rental of an apartment in the Bournemouth area. We were met by Stephanie Ballet, who was extremely helpful, courteous and friendly. As a result and after viewing two properties with Stephanie, we decided to rent an apartment with Bournecoast rather than another estate agent as their service and support seemed professional. Positive experience: Efficient and flexible during my move to a flat in Westbourne. I only gave them a week to get me in, and they came through. Getting the keys however could have been easier.

Negative experience: Rather incompetent. Contacted them weekly for almost two months in order to sort out a viewing for one of the apartments they had listed. Most of the time I was told that they will get back to me by the next week but it was still me calling them back, just so that they could tell me they haven't resolved anything. Even if the apartment wasn't available anymore, I think a courtesy call letting me know after I've stressed them out for so long would've been nice.

As a small justification it is likely that the property you were trying to view was difficult to gain entry due to the existing occupants, which is very frustrating for us as well. Negative experience: Very lazy, liars, you cannot trust them. scammer. Be very careful when treat with them. You blame an external agency for the intend of scam. when it was you. According to my contract, I should not have to pay for those days, but, to avoid you problems, I agreed. Instead of thanks, you have charged more days than agreed. It is you who keep the deposit in your bank account; protected but in yours. Funny was when you asked me to help with the disposal of the broken fridge to avoid to do it yourselves or pay someone. If you don't like the reviews, improve and don't lie the customers, or sort the problems when you are given the opportunity or don't be on internet. Simple.
Hi Marta, whilst we appreciate that you have taken the time to provide feedback online we do feel these comments and the review are extremely unfair. As a family run company we put our customer service and morals at the forefront of our business and it is very disappointing when a client leaves us with the wrong impression. Having investigated your tenancy it appears that your dispute related to the fact that you did not wish to pay the rent for the pro rata days you stayed in the property you rented. The landlord, not Bournecoast, requested the rent due from you as would be expected and calculated using the standard daily rental calculations used within the industry. We are still unsure why you disputed this rent was due or felt you should have been able to stay in the property for the last few days of your tenancy for free. We understood that you did not understand the calculations so a member of the team clearly explained the calculations to you, which was also confirmed and explained again by our Office Manager. Since you then continued to question the calculation our Company Director took time to investigate the matter fully for you and she wrote to you to explain that the calculation was correct and detailed how and why the landlord was entitled to the pro rata rent to the end of your tenancy, whilst you were in the property. Your conclusion of this that we are very lazy, liars, that we cannot be trusted and we are scammers is exceptionally incorrect and unjustified. We will have to agree to disagree on this occasion but wish you the best for the future anyway.

(I personally like an ensuite bathroom and a dishwasher) If there has been any issues they have been on hand to help us as quickly possible. Looking forward to our next holiday.

Fantastic experience: We have been using Bournecoast's tenant finding service for several years now and they have consistently found us excellent tenants. When one of our flats becomes empty the staff always find new tenants pretty quickly and yet make a real effort with thoroughly vetting them before introducing us. The company Directors and we as a team are very focused and determined to maintain the very highest levels of customer service and experience that has been the bedrock of this 3rd generation business. Negative experience: In spite of multiple problems with Bournecoast I had remained loyal for a number of years. This year I decided enough was enough. Excessive fees, lack of management of the inventory resulting in me having to replace many items on a continuous basis, unwilling to ever visit the property, double charging for cleans and unwilling to manage the property even though the charges are high and it a fully managed holiday let service, meant I looked elsewhere. It is always the landlords fault and there is nothing you can do. Will see this coming season whether other agents are able to provide a better service along with the required lettings.

Negative experience: Be very wary indeed when entering into any short term let with this agent. When it comes to getting your deposit back, they will take money off of you for unnecessary cleaning, items that did not exist (check the inventory VERY carefully) and charge much more than is stated on their own list of cleaning prices by using unregisterd companies. When challenged their response is that you are not covered by the deposit protection scheme as it is a short term let, so you will need to go to small claims. VERY unfair. Avoid
