Fantastic experience: We had to urgently book a family holiday for travel within 48 hours. Shirley Croot was incredibly helpful, dedicated, knowledgeable, Friendly and accommodating of our requirements. I would highly recommend using the FK branch of Barrhead.

Fantastic experience: 5 star service from Neil at cameron toll edinburgh, listened and understood what we were looking for, gave fabulous recommendations based on his personal experience, great banter too!!! Genuinely a great guy!!! We always booked online previously but never again! Neil will be our go to guy from now on!!!

Negative experience: Whilst the lady was nice and did find us an appropriate holiday, we felt there was a lack of transparency over price. After much haggling, she knocked £250 off the original price, claiming it was a fantastic deal. We booked, left the shop, then checked the price online (directly with Jet2 holidays), and it was cheaper to book direct with them. We went back to them and asked if they could refund us the difference but they said they couldn't. Don't be fooled by any claims of exclusive access to special deals - you will more than likely be cheaper booking it yourself. We made the mistake of not checking before paying.

Positive experience: Came to egypt for 1 week the holiday was amazing so was the hotel and staff were great. However before coming we were advised by travel agents to buy egyptian currency (only good for taxis and tips)and to bring english sterling which the locals will not accept at all not even tips they want euro or US dollars and there's nowhere here to change money except the airport. Beware of currency exchange rate as price may be better in egypt (while here we found the rate was double the uk rate)were told there is no mosquito here, there are!

Knowledgeable and great customer care Used the Fort last few trips, previously used Cameron toll . Both shops excellent. Been to Memphis, Turkey, Cyprus, .....and more can't thank them enough

Michelle gave us great expert advice, guidance and most of all, patience! We are looking forward to our cruise in 2024, and we have Michelle and co from Barrhead Travel to thank for that.

Fantastic experience: I have booked through Barrhead for many years now - I wouldn't go anywhere else! Michelle Thompson has listened to me, knows my likes (and dislikes!) and has made destination suggestions I wouldn't have thought about, and I have never been disappointed. Things dont always go right with travel plans, but when I was enroute to Hawaii when covid shut everything down, Barrhead couldn't have done more to ensure we were alright, whilst arrangements were made to get us home safely. I have nothing but praise for Michelle and her team at Fort Kinnaird and it will only be a few weeks until we are away on another cruise arranged by them. Keep them coming Michelle!

Fantastic experience: I have booked a few cruise holidays with Barrhead Fort Kinnaird and have to say that Michelle Thomson never fails to get me the best deal and if there is any problems she sorts them out without any fuss. She listens to what you want and makes sure that you get the holiday you want. I have no problem in recommending her and her colleagues to book a holiday.

Fantastic experience: I was taking weeks to decide what I wanted to do and where to go and Shirley was brilliant. She kept updating me by phone. I spent so much time trying to sort my travel online and then just went back up to Barrhead Travel at Kinnaird Park and let Shirley take over and I couldn’t have gotten better service and someone with so much patience.

Myself and my family have been using Nicole for the last 3 years to book our family holidays. Nicole always listens to what we would like and Nicole makes sure everything we require is assured for! Nicole really makes you feel like you are valued and takes all the time you need into making sure everything is perfect from start to finish, not to mention the best prices for the best resort! Fantastic experience: Planned our holidays online for years but reluctantly decided to try a travel agent as recommended by a friend. Walked in the door with very high expectations and was greeted by Cat... Wow !! Came away with a tailored holiday which would have taken me ages to put together. Positive experience: Booked my holiday here at the Fort Branch. Made feel welcome, Staff were very helpful and got us a great deal. Never been to this destination before and got plenty information. Very helpful. The only thing I would say is I am disappointed they don't have an app on which you can make a payment rather than having to pop into the store. On another note have also visited the store at Cameron toll Edinburgh to make payments they are also very nice and helpful. Thank you guys .

Fantastic experience: I'm not easy to please customer- don't like to spend lots of money but same time don't want any holidays. When got in gave Lisa ( agent) high expectations but offered low budget. Beginning was hard but when my stubborn person didn't compromise at all - manager of store contacted area manager and they spent more that 7 hours just to find exactly what I wanted in close planned budget. If you are patient - agents in those travel bureau are absolutely ready to do what it takes take your holiday pure heaven. Lovely jobs ladies

Fantastic experience: Thank you to Jaye, she was welcoming and listened to what my partner and myself had to say about our wedding plans. Unfortunately she was stopped mid sentence by another employee. Being in sales myself, I was impressed with the first contact and felt she was actually interested in what we had to say and willing to help. Jaye was pushed aside by a more senior member of staff that had to say it’s really expensive a lot……can’t really remember her asking what our wedding budget was? We wanted a small wedding, didn’t ever mention cheap wedding, anyway thank you Jaye, if the details you took mean that we are dealing with yourself, we are happy to listen. Anyone else we will leave it thanks

Fantastic experience: Helpful staff, informative with details due to cruise having to be rescheduled..

Negative experience: I went to use the currency exchange here to change euro to pound they told me I had a fake note but it was actually the old style euro which is still in circulation, think if running a currency exchange they should know about all different notes but they didn’t have a clue! They refused so I went to a place on queensferry street they took the note not a problem, think they should get there facts right before telling me I have a fake note!

Negative experience: We booked an expensive holiday back in April. Had a call from the branch yesterday to say our flights had changed, with inbound flight leaving at 6:10am. Despite paying for extra leg room seats on the original flights we had lost these too, and would not be refunded. We have had to make the effort ourselves to find flights leaving at a decent time, and been charged an extra £150 to change them over. Keep being told by the branch that it is in the terms and conditions and there is nothing they can do. Decided to use a high st travel agent rather than an online one to deliberately avoid this type of problem. Won’t be doing that again!

Negative experience: Not worth it! Customer service is non existent. Especially from fort Kinnaird. You call and they hang up on you mid conversation. They don't abide by the law. For their customers looking for refunds write to the head office! Highly recommended. I did as you keep getting told refund within 90 days as its the company policy. It can't be company policy as it doesn't abide by the law. Due to get refund within a week. Manager doesn't know how to read the computer systems nor do any of the other agents. Always contradictory information given to customers. Had to give 1 star for it to register my comments but I officially give 0 stars from an original loyal customer. Treatment of myself means I am no longer a customer and have passed on my experience with everyone I know

Negative experience: An absolutely shocking lack of competence, consideration, or adequate customer service. Avoid this travel agent like the plague - you'd be better off booking yourself or through a competitor!

Negative experience: Brutal experience and the manager is rude and pretends to help. Also recently found out im not the only person who has has the same experience with her. Will never use this company again as they love to pass the buck

Fantastic experience: Yesterday I would have tried the patience of a saint, but the 2 Michelle's & Nicola from fort kinnaird branch were absolutely amazing, i had booked my original holiday with Thomas cook, bucket list one to cuba......the lassies worked hard to get us to Mexico, same dates. I cant thank you all enough. Def be back
