Negative experience: Was let down we booked all inclusive but were told we would not be allowed free bingo cards as usual no lunches and no drinks it was a very very sad holiday they gave me £50 pounds back but this doesn’t cover our costs we won’t be back

Re: Royal Boston Hotel - Standards are slipping Both Mrs A & Mrs B have been coming to the Boston Hotel with you for decades, sadly though this visit from July 8th to July 12th may be their last. Why? 1: Shower not accessible so had to swap rooms, both elderly and disabled and can't use the shower via climbing into bath. It's not usually an issue. 2: The shower in 2nd room difficult to turn off, and I had to ask staff daily. 3: No heating in room, had to be given portable heater, but not sufficient heat as customer has bad arthritis. 4: No towels changed after 1st night, despite asking daily. Had to buy some in Blackpool. 5: Not enough staff on till 8pm. It is very hard to get service at bar or assistance. 6: Flagged all issues with management but not the best customer service. it seems senior staff may have lost interest in the customer. 7: Later breakfast 8.30 am every day. No prior advice as both have meds to take daily at certain times. Alway breakfast at 8 am onwards on prior trips. These girls have been loyal customers, and you know they love coming Blackpool, but they felt very let down by this experience and how their issues didn't seem important enough to fully resolve on site. Please can you look into the above, and revert back to me as point of contact, as it's me who books All trips. So I can explain your answers in detail to the customers. One other point, and we do appreciate everything must go up in price in todays climate, but this seems excessive. The July promo price we paid £651, has jumped to £780 for all inclusive October. Despite your Super Saver deals being extended, they only list savings for Self Drive customers? £518 is not all inclusive, so we are missing an inclusive bar, bingo tickets, no coach.. £162 a difference each. If they decide for October 14th, for 4 nights midweek, could you do a special all-inclusive price as part of Super Saver deals and, if necessary to make up for poor July experience. Negative experience: Royal Boston Blackpool.Paid all inclusive and no lunches were provided any days.Bingo tickets were a joke with £10 full house when it costs £5 for tickets which were paid for paid for in all inclusive price so where has all that money gone as it wasn't in prize money.Meals have to be chosen at breakfast table and only 3 main meal items on the list so dissapointing.No way is the evening meal worth the £30 charged and very basic food choice.Only good point was the entertainment but Overall the hotel is not worth the money we paid and we will not return here and won't book through Blackpool promotion again.
Fantastic experience: Stayed at the Royal Boston Hotel, Blackpool 4 nights bed and breakfast and travel, couldn't fault the hotel or the deal we got from Blackpool Promotions, food lovely, cabaret amazing. The bus was late .. nobody's fault ... Will defo be back

Negative experience: Hotel was nice and food was good, our problem was the coach transfers. Was picked up from seabank at 3.30 and had to changed buses at falkirk were then taken to dunfermline where we were told a taxi wad there to take us to dundee. Waited over 40 minutes for taxi due to blackpool promotions organisation arrived I dundee at 10.50 pm never again.

Negative experience: Booked a holiday through Blackpool Promotions for a party of seven, initially good but had problems while we were away regarding miscommunication, wrong dates, hotels. I'll give you all the short version..... Wife Booked a four day holiday through this company, leaving date and time were fine got to Blackpool around 1pm got to The Royal Boston Hotel, problems start, reception said rooms were not ready until 3pm had to leave cases at reception and come back around 3pm ....got to our room only to find the bed base was broken, also the ajoining kids room door was loose hanging off the hinges and the window handle was also loose we were quite understanding considering. Maintenance came replaced the bed base (one half only) only for us to see mouldy sweets under the bed base it was also thick with dust, maintenance removed the sweets but not the dust, after I noticed the old base of the bed was lifted. there was then a difference in the height of bases, the door was screwed back on and fixed so the door actually closed, that was just the first hour of getting the room. day one passed, out and about as you do, back for the evening some food and entertainment, day two, a lot of banging and shouting from maintenance 1 floor down, we ignored it, went for breakfast and out, I came back early never felt great, only for the maintenance guys to knock the door saying they had a problem they needed access to the bathroom this time turns out toilet hadn't been fitted properly maintanance came, they saw, they fixed it, but YET another interruption while trying to rest. Wife and kids returned for dinner and another evening of hotel entertainment all off to bed for a night's sleep. We awoke the next day 3 to a strong smell of sewage coming up from the shower tray and getting to thinking this was UNREAL!!!!! Couldn't find anyone to tell about the smell at reception went for breakfast returned briefly to the room before going out for the day. Got back for the evening meal and more hotel entertainment......day 4 we were DONE, and all packed up to leave, my wife went down to reception to ask about the leaving time GUESS WHAT!!! There was NO pick ups on that day (NOT OUR FAULT) We booked 4 days After calls back and forth some swearing on Blackpool promotions part Saying they are STRANDED THEY ARE ACTUALLY F...ING STRANDED it was agreed we could stay ANOTHER DAY!!!!! at a sister hotel, The Royal Carlton, Blackpool promotions arranged transportation of taxis to take us to the new hotel a good move on Blackpool Promotions part... Got to The Royal Carlton only to be told by Declan the receptionist our ALL INCLUSIVE HAD ENDED !!! WHAT!!! we were told we had to pay an extra £150 and the other 3 people would also have to pay or we would only get flavoured water and a begrudged evening meal, we also felt DECLAN was trying his luck until he was told we wanted reciepts for absolutely everything meals, drinks, breakfast, all this carry on for BLACKPOOL PROMOTIONS MISTAKES... AGAIN!!! more calls back and forth and we eventually got handed only four all inclusive wristbands and had to ask for the other 3, NO WAY WE WERE PAYING EXTRA FOR SOMEBODY ELSE'S MISTAKE...all this and Snide comments were made by the so called REGULAR GUESTS saying we were just in the door and complaining, those guests were put in there place because they thought we were new guests and just complaining for the sake of it, an explanation to the red faced guests and a low mumblings were heard, ALSO AN EXPLANATION WE SHOULD NEVER HAD TO MAKE IN THE FIRST PLACE ESPECIALLY NOT TO OTHER GUESTS. Declan and my wife having to make several calls in-between from that moment we were ignored as much as possible by staff and guests. JUST A SUGGESTION. Maybe vet hotels more than once, more than one room, and it wouldn't be a bad move to send occasional mystery guests throughout the season, also to make sure hotels are worthy of being in the promotion for cleanliness and that rooms are kept up to standard. We hope you can learn from our experience.

Negative experience: Just back from a weekend in the sea bank hotel. Been there a few times before but this time will be the last, the hotel is dirty and smells awful. I cleaned the window sills, the toilet door and the lid of the kettle was thick with dust. The carpets are manky and smell, the toilets at reception are absolutely disgusting. This hotel needs a good clean and maybe train the staff on how to clean properly.
Negative experience: We were in this hotel from the 7th until the 14th of July 2023. The Seaview Room was very small with hardly any space to unpack clothes for a week. The carpet was dirty when we arrived and it staid that way the whole week that we were there. The whole hotel could be doing with a deep clean. We paid 1050 pounds for bed and breakfast only and certainly did not feel that it was value for money. One of the staff walked out on Thursday evening saying that he had had enough and who could blame him..

Fantastic experience: Just back from Carlton hotel, and once again had a brilliant time, big shout out to Keiran our manager, who worked so hard from morning till night, also Ashley who ran the bar and called the bingo, these two young guys worked so hard and so well together, well done guys also Francis the chef, amazing, Moana housekeeping keep up the good work as usual, what a team, please stay there for when we return, considering there were so under staffed, they did a super job, and hotel was full, see you soon xxx
Fantastic experience: Just back from the Royal Carlton Hotel in blackpool with promotions been going for years but this must be one of the best times we had young boy keiran stand in manger was so helpful could not do enough for anyone so so helpful moana the cleaner done everything was great young boy behind the bar amazing done the bar like clockwork and done bingo chef Francis minted food amazing and hotel was full not one complant heard back in August hope it's the same staff well done

Hard when youv a 5,14 and 2 yr old so we had to book somewhere else . We were also quoted 9ver 1000 pound for a few days however we landed at caravan park woth kids at marton mere instead and had a ball for a week
Fantastic experience: Can't praise my holiday highly enough, just back from the most amazing Monday-Friday at The Royal Seabank in Blackpool, Staff, Entertainment, Food and Room, all super, we'll be back as soon as we possibly can, oh and not forgetting our highly motivated and entertaining driver, Wullie, on the White Star bus who took us there and back, thank you Blackpool Promotions.

Fantastic experience: This was our first time with Blackpool promotions and certainly won't be the last. Our drivers kept us well informed ie.. about times ect and there banter was excellent. We stayed at the Royal Alexander Hotel.. just a few wee bits that could be useful... a little dish for tea/coffe/suger sachets. Breakfast was delicious as was coffee. Bed was fresh clean and firm. Definitely coming back. Staff were friendly and attentive.

Negative experience: First off I asked if I hired a mobility scooter for my holiday would i be able to have in a secure place and charged up overnight and I was told yes that will not be a problem then when we get to the hotel we are told that I could not get my scooter charged and left there overnight which the knew about 3 days before but were told by someone at head office not to tell anyone until they've arrived at the hotel and it's all because some new big wig manager wants to line there pockets they are asking the persons hiring the Scooters to pay them 5 thousand pounds for it to be done so now when the lights are go I ng to be turned on there will be a lot of disabled people without Scooters Togo and watch them I think it's shocking that just because we are disabled we should be discriminated against hopefully people will see this let their voices be heard

Fantastic experience: Had a lovely stay at the royal boston but a few complaints we stayed at a premium room but no drawers and no where for towels and main concern no mattress protectors my granddaughter was sick on mattress so we told reception but bed was made back up and still strong smell of sickness really disappointed but on the up side staff were absolutely fantastic especially Joan and staff in dining hall and bar staff were great

Negative experience: Great location and bar staff and waiting staff first class but manager in reception is obnoxious and very rude and ignorant she couldn't help with problem and when asked to speak to another manager she told me I'm manager and if you don't like my answer then no-one can help was the same attitude when my wife approached her she started tutting at her then walked away without even trying to sort out problem said come back later too busy then when went back she accused her of being derogatory of her accent !! Had to phone travel agent on our holiday to try to get problem sorted when manager couldn't be bothered to help no customer care skills.

Negative experience: I work for a tour company who have been trying to make a group booking with one of the hotels associated with Blackpool Promotions - what an absolute joke this is!! We have been trying to get a price since July and still no joy! Blackpool promotions blame the hotel, the hotel blames Blackpool promotions. Can't talk directly to the hotel only Blackpool promotions and they haven't got a clue! Have emailed the hotel direct and haven't even had a response - good job our company isn't run like this or we simply wouldn't have a business left. They have now lost a group of 50+ passengers as we have gone elsewhere!!
Negative experience: I booked for an inclusive weekend friday 1st October till Monday 4th October 2021.Today i phoed to inform them my husbands brothers funeral coincides on the 1st..not very helpful wanted £80 to change weekend or refund o half the money.I think this is shocking. We already paid £470 for this weekend, and feel in the circumstances of a iblings eath this weekend could hav been moved free of charge. We will never use Blackpool Prootions agai, and decided to get refund og halfour money back.wont be giving them another penny.nly
Negative experience: On arrival at The Royal Boston Hotel we were informed that our room had been given to someone else so were given another room. We accepted the key and took our luggage up that room only to find someone already in that room. So back to reception. After another wait we were offered a room at the Doric , but taking meals and drinks package at the Boston. The room hadn't been serviced so we trekked back to the Boston. We arrived at the Boston at 3PM and by this time it was 6PM. After some debating we were finally sent to the Royal Seabank. We did get some compensation and the Manager at the Royal Boston was very nice, but this should never have happened. Bad organisation on someone's part.
Positive experience: Blackpool promotions are a great company to travel with staff and hotels are great look forward to going again but let's hope they get new coaches as the one I was on with my 5 friends coming back on Monday was very very uncomfortable and toilet was awful !!?? We have been to Blackpool for 7 years now as a party of 6 never had a problem so here's hoping next years coach is better please promotions thank you x

Negative experience: I have been travelling with promotions for over 10 years and have over all been happy. But I don’t know what has happened to this company! Who are this Tartan Travel? Well the bus was later picking us up, the hotel where we were booked into has gone right down hill. I asked promotions for a first floor room, as my mother is 82 and it would have been easier for her to navigate the hotel. Well we got a room on the very top floor and it was right at the back of the hotel. In fact it was like a chicken cope, you had no room to swing a cat. The selection of meals on menu was very poor and when we arrived we had to wait two hours for our room to be ready. The bus to collect us for our home journey was 50 minutes late and after boarding the bus it took it another 35 minutes picking up at hotels I’ve never been near before. We got home at 8.20 and my mum was exhausted. I probably would not use this company again. Very sad as we always swore by it. Blackpool promotions get your act together, very disappointed.

Negative experience: Booked for 4 nights with Blackpool promotions paid for special deal but when we got there the charge was an extra £106 on top ao the £ 464 we paid I asked for our money back and we would go somewhere else not a good start . Hotel room was damp and smelly teh lit at the end of the corridor was noisey. had breakfast the first morning asked for the fried egg to be turned over and what came was an egg that had been lying brown onthe bottom food was poor . one starter was spicy chicken wings and an old lady asked the waitress if there was chilli in the seasoning and the as she was allergic to chilli the person called a chef did not know . overall this place was poor and we could not stay any longer left after two days wont be back lost money but seeing the reviews we could not agree with them .

Negative experience: Was very disappointed this time ,we traveled down on Friday.and first off bus was45min,late picking us up at Motherwell .then driver went off motorway and took us. through all these little villages most I’ve never heard of ..at one point stuck behind a farm vehicle.then we stopped at Tebay for 45 mins.it was now 3 pm ,then we were taken toa Lorry park,where we waited for another bus coming from Blackpool for drivers to switch buses.arrived at hotel at5 pm.all without an apology or explanation.
Negative experience: The hotel was dirty and the toilets were disgusting, food was poor and the service not much better. The driver who took up down cursed and swore impatiently at every car who negatively crossed his path. He didn't know Blackpool at all and he never used his sound system to alert the passengers of drop off points and as a result of this we were dropped off a mile from our hotel. Complaint ongoing and I'll never book with Blackpool promotions again.
Negative experience: Ok very small portions had 9 large wines n still stood not even a giggle on I'm usually 3 to 4 wines n off to bed Sunday night entertainment goof mon tacky out of tune amps
