Negative experience: Very disappointed. Changed holiday pick up 2 times then cancelled the holiday.

Positive experience: Just back from emmerdale tour which was changed from sun to Saturday, we weren't informed till we were on bus, emmerdale tour was great, on returning to bus , driver said no tour for Sunday!! We were to travel straight home, unhappy passengers, I took upon myself to phone tartan travel offices to complain, driver was not communicating with passengers, I would suggest he learns some social skills, hes definitely not in the correct job , cant fault hotel and staff, so friendly and helpful.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic trip to Peterhead in search of the northern lights. It was pissing down, but a great experience. Great hotel with perfect rooms and excellent food .

Negative experience: What they don't tell you is they take you in bus all around Scotland collecting tourists and you are stuck miserably in a bus for 7 hours straight for a journey that could have taken 2-3 hours. On top of that, they don't respond to emails or answer calls after payment is done to answer any details about itinerary.

Negative experience: Second time going on a trip with Tartan Travel, there will not be a third. Hotels they use are not used to having coach parties and do not know how to cater for large groups.

Fantastic experience: Our Primark Bullring Tour Birmingham was amazing Donald Our Driver kept us updated on breaks, Traffic and Hotel and he was very polite and very helpful and accommodating to the needs if required can't say the same about our Hotel Food was horrendous could have smashed windows with it and they wouldn't accommate the needs for Diabetics or Vegetarians rooms were unkempt ceilings falling down, cobwebs, toilets unsanitary and dried sick down the beds and on floors locked out the room hours before check-out wouldn't advise anyone stay at Holiday Inn Express Redditch other than the accomadation I can't fault Tartan Travel at all 100% travel with you guys again (just not Redditch)

Negative experience: Terrible experience. AVOID at all costs. Disorganised chaos which led to 8.5 hour journey both ways for a 2 day trip.Hamilton to Scarborough/York. Ridiculous excuses from company who had clearly combined East and West coast pick ups. A different company leaving same time took 4 hours less! Never got time to look around or go anywhere beyond hotel. Avoid Avoid Avoid

Negative experience: I had a birthday excursion booked with them which they have since cancelled as they weren't able to sell enough seats. They are fine with reimbursing me the trip however I now have £180 of non refundable travel that is useless. Can't claim on insurance as the fault is with the tour company. Lesson learned. To anyone looking to book with them, bear in mind when making travel arrangements! No sense of ownership or accountability from company. Birthday ruined!

Fantastic experience: We went to polar express in wensleydale on Sat 9 Dec and york Christmas Market on the Sunday What an amazing experience. Our driver "handsome andy" was amazing . He kept us up to date all the time,when we would arrive at our destinations. Kept us entertained with his banter and stories. Funny guy and got us home safely. Hotel was lovely, unfortunately our dinner was a nightmare, which is not tartan travels fault ,that is the Hotel at fault for their mess . Would definitely use TT again, well worth it . Thanks for the memories.

Negative experience: Syayed in the craig lyn hotel for our christmas party night food was ok drinks price good entertainment all i can say joke, the hotel itself is lovely,staff need more training on service be prepared as it is bloody freezing had to sit most of the night with my jumper on will not be back oh and the bar closes at 10.30pm every night.

Positive experience: Just back from a Polar Express trip. The hotel was excellent. Our driver Steve also took us to York and Gretna Green for some retail therapy. Only downside we booked seats early but they were not allocated. Just told to sit anywhere. Being last pick up point we had no choice. Apart from that an excellent trip and good value for money.

Fantastic experience: Just back from a lovely trip with my granddaughter Sarahlouise.We went to see the Northern Lights up in Peterhead unfortunately we never seen them.We stayed at the Waterside Hotel which was lovely very clean room.Meals was good aswewell Would definitely go back again.Andy the bus driver was excellent all the way up and down.He also dropped my granddaughter of in Dundee or she would of had to come back to Largs with me.100per cent to Andy.good driver goowgback again.

Negative experience: I have just arrived in Southport with tartan travel and what a shambles. My holiday was cancelled through lack of interest so came here instead. The journey as a long winded affair that took to long. I had no idea which hotel I was in or seat on the bus. I had to phone while on the journey to find out as I was not sent any invoice or itinerary. I will not use again until things improve I am utterly disgusted.

Fantastic experience: Great weekend to Coronation Street. Drivers were great. Free time in Liverpool . Coronation Street exp was fab. Only downside was hotel but Tartan Travel were 1st. Class

Fantastic experience: Just back from Amsterdam mini cruise 3 days ,Gordon the driver was great and kept us informed times meeting etc,my only complaint would be ,not enough time in Amsterdam (4 hours)would be good if could have an overnight stay in a hotel in Amsterdam as well .

Positive experience: My husband booked a mystery overnight for us on 17 Dec 2022 but we were put on a designated shopping trip to Chester ..if I had known I would have asked for refund or reschedule to a mystery date available..very disapointed to be left for 5 hours.. in freezing rain...to walk round an open air shopping outlet ..in the middle of December.

Positive experience: Our driver ,Gavin was fantastic.very polite and went up and beyond.helping customers, The waterside Hotel .peterhead abit out dated,but very clean.the only three faults is,food.chef needs to check vegetables.very hard and food not hot.hotel on the outskirt ,so nothing in surrounding area having to pay for usage of the pool area.

Negative experience: The most awful trip and customer service experience. I booked a trip marketed as ‘get all your Christmas shopping done in one trip’ to Birmingham that said there were x amount of places to eat as well as hundreds of shops.. it ended up taking hours longer on the bus than the itinerary stated due to having to go off route to pick up a change of driver and too many driver stops - then departing hours earlier than itinerary the following day. Less than 4hrs time spent with at the shopping area between 2 days but when you factor in huge queue to get into the shop, barely being able to move in the shop, along with huge queues to get served (40 minutes I waited in primark queue alone) it means there’s no time to actually shop. 2/4 people on my booking didn’t buy a single item, 2 of us managed to buy primark pj’s and one item out of marks and Spencers which I could have bought at home. Primark isn’t that big for shopping; no bigger than edinburgh - most of the extra floor space is taken up by second hand item areas and cafes inside.. We didn’t have time for any other shops or queues. Our cases under the bus got soaked through in huge puddles and clothes and electronics got wet and the driver was indifferent! So the change of clothes we took to have dinner, pyjamas and iPads were wet! There were issues at the hotel as well, we didn’t get a choice of meal it was one option only, no water when asked for - had to stand in a queue at the bar for very expensive drinks while food was getting cold, one person served over 40 people at the bar, among other issues with the room. The whole trip was a complete waste of time and money, there was no time to shop and our personal items were damaged, we spent nearly 8hrs on the bus each way instead of the 5.5hrs they tell you it’ll take. It was honestly awful - so much so that on the way back lots of people from the bus didn’t come back with us and opted to pay more to get trains home at 6pm so they had time to shop. I made a complaint about all of this which wasn’t taken seriously and after spending £400 on this trip, I was offered an £80 voucher to use with tartan travel again (£20 voucher per person) for a discount on another trip - which I made clear in my complaint was something I would never be interested in wasting my time doing again. I was then told that would be tartan travels final offer - which is of absolutely no use to me. I’m so shocked that this is there level of customer service. Ive asked where I can take this complaint higher and I will be following through with that. If you have this trip booked, I would advise not to waste your time and money and just cancel it. Not even close to being worth it at all. UPDATE - 8 Months after writing this review (of which I wrote after giving Customer Services every chance to put it right in the first place) - Customer Services replied to my review and asked me to give them the chance to put this right. So, I emailed. Multiple emails back and forward resulted in no action being taken and me being told that there would be no changes to how this was originally handled. I’m not understanding why Tartan Travel bothered contacting me asking me to give them a chance 8 months after, for them to tell me nothing has changed. I honestly think they just wanted to write a reply to my review so that other people seen them say they were trying to put it right - when actually, they weren’t and it was all for show. This has caused yet again another waste of my time. At this point, I’m really not surprised after all the original time that was wasted by taking their trip in the first place and them failing to deal with our original complaints. I have told them I will be writing an update on my review. Shocking service. They have shown me they do not care about their Customers.

Negative experience: Giving it a 2 .Well what can I say. 9 or more of us go a bus trip every year usually with a different company .with commitment s we all managed to get a week in October so went with the torquay trip .we booked in April. The customer service wasn't the best from start to finish . Fully paid for on the 21st of August. No mention it could possibly be canceled as noone else booked it . Called on the 21st of September asking if it was going to be canceled and what would happen ect they said still lots of time to fill it . We had all booked theatre tickets and paid fully for a show in torquay Included in torquay 4 drink vouchers per person per night entertainment at hotel every night Anyway week later we are cancelled I get full refund but a trip we have planned all year to sorry you can't go .only other available trip St Andrews. Lovely just up the road but still getting away .price up from 21st of September tho when its 169 Week later 189 So not only did we lose Drink vouchers Our show tickets Our preferred destination To be told you now have to pay more than everyone else on the trip .. and if you don't everyone's trip will be cancelled because no trip had enough people .but there's a free pool at the hotel .turned out it wasn't free £5 used it one day No music on the bus no radio driver said that's the rules then asked us not to sing I could go on no apology no goodwill just very disappointed .. The 2 stars were for the people on the bus & the hotel enquired about changing and told I had to wait a other week ...early bird offer 21st sep 169 Week later 189

Negative experience: Over the past 18 months I have booked 3 trips with this company which they cancelled at the last minute for various reasons .They are happy to take my money , keep it for months then holiday is cancelled. Refund not immediate either . Will not book again - would definitely not recommend!

Negative experience: We wanted to book a coach trip for my husbands 70th. I called to ask about my assistance dog. I was rudely told that he couldn’t come with me. I was then questioned and told the female she was breaking the law asking me. I put this on their Facebook and was blocked. I will be taking this further. Not a friendly company at all Your reply accuses me of misuse on FB. All I did was post the above so I was blocked. I AM disabled and need my dog to help me, you refused to help me therefore you broke the law.

Positive experience: Hi I took my elderly auntie on your coach trip last Sat to Manchester and Christmas Market on the Sun. Fantastic value and coach driver could not have been any friendlier. Christmas Market a little disappointing but that is not Tartan Travel's fault. I feel you may have missed an opportunity by not selling Travel Vouchers from the coach. I bought these as extra Christmas gifts for family online but wondered if you could make them available on your trips. Anyway had a ball will defos use again. Well done n Merry

Positive experience: Overall fantastic trip in Haworth 1940s weekend, Andy our driver was excellent. The trip to Haworth 1940s weekend, was perfect Andy our driver was excellent. And the trip all-around was smooth. Unfortunately, the hotel used wasn't that great. The staff were unhelpful and grumpy. The evening meal consisted of awful dried-up tasteless fish and cold greasy chips. The other choice was sausage and mash and gravy and carrot and coriander soup neither of which were really that hot. Desert consisted of chocolate cake and cream or fruit. The breakfast was fine but that was for every other guest in the hotel and not really for our group. Overall the Ramada by Wyndham at Wakefield. Should be avoided.

Negative experience: Went on the "search for the northern lights" tour as a birthday present for my disabled mother and my nephew. When we first got on the bus, our booked seats were taken by another party. We booked the front seats due to my mother's poor mobility, eventually we got the seats after a hullabaloo with the other party. The trip up to Peterhead was fine, of course the snow and ice on the roads made it quite interesting. When we made it to the waterside hotel, the driver crashed into the hotel. Leaving most, if not all, the guests quite flabbergasted. We got to our hotel rooms, which were nice enough with each having an en-suite. The beds were comfy enough and the tele worked. So that was all good. Dinner was good at the hotel, with a good few options to choose from. During dinner, our driver told all of us (as you have to eat family style with the rest of the people on your coach, that the trip out to the coast would not be going ahead. So, we went back to our rooms for a long night. Breakfast was great, with cooked, continental, cereal and fruit on offer. Unfortunately, we found out that there was another bus that offered to take the people on our trip with them to the coast. We, like a good few parties on our coach, were not told about this second coach. Therefore we missed out on the whole purpose of our trip. We left the hotel the and journeyed down to St andrews, where we parked up for 2 hours. Then we left to go back to our pick up/drop off station. After all of this, Tartan Travel are only giving us a £30 voucher for future travel. Edit: we are now getting a £30 cheque. Great to know that we're getting around 10% of the money back for the trip... Would I recommend travelling with this company, based on my experience, no. From the reviews this seems to have only been a one-off situation, so it may be better for you. I certainly won't be travelling with Tartan Travel again.

Negative experience: If I could give 0 stars I would. Booked the coronation street tour with my family, including my 84 year old grandmother. We were all looking forward to the trip. Arrived at the pick up point (Dundee) at 5.45am for 6am pick up. Standing around in very cold conditions (5/6 degrees c). Time passes by and no pick up arrives. Try to contact tartan travel, offices don’t open till 9am. 7.40am comes and the main coach driver calls from Dunfermline to see where we are, we advise we are still at the pick up point. He says a private bus was supposed to pick us up and collect people in Kirkcaldy and they hadn’t been picked up either. He advised he would speak to tartan travel to see what’s happening and call us back. We decide at this point after waiting outside for 2 hours in the cold to go and get a cup of tea at a nearby cafe assuming alternative arrangements will come in due course. Sitting waiting and 40 minutes pass and we call the driver back. He advises he has now left Dunfermline on his way to Liverpool as planned - he hadn’t bothered to call us back like he said he would. Shocking service, would not recommend. Would suggest the company get themselves an out of hours number available for customers in such situations. They are forever replying to negative c reviews on here saying it’s rare for them to get negative comments but seems that’s not the case at all if you go through the reviews. I expect they will respond to this review saying it was a 3rd parties fault, not their own, however I paid tartan travel my money not the 3rd party so they are responsible for arranging my trip. Their driver should have also told us at the first call that he would be leaving without us. Very disappointed and won’t be travelling with them again.

Negative experience: Sept 2022 went to York and had driver John who was amazing!! Had Sept 2023 booked since Dec 2022 as loved trip so much. Started off getting picked up at Halbeath Park & Ride by Holly a Go Travel driver. Who was late due to weather then didn't have everyone's name on list. She was going to Llandudno and we were told changing coaches at Gretna. We were late picking up at Edinburgh Park and Bathgate so were late to Gretna. Holly moved all York cases to new bus and had told us we had 20 mins which was a relief to get loo break and coffee. It was cold so we decided to go back to coach to be met by the new driver wondering where we had been! Unknown to us he had stopped at Welcome Breaks services in Gretna by mistake and had left all his passengers there to pick us up. We then headed there to be told we had half an hour! We popped in to see what there but had left our coffee on coach so went back to coach, not there. Having to stand outside with everyone else when cold and blowing a gale not good! Driver came back eventually, lots of confusion with seats. He shouted at people saying he is a human being and yes mucked up but that us people had made it worse by stressing out. I am sorry but shouting this at customer's is not on and I stood up for us all by saying something back to him. Your Tartan Travel bus driver then went in a huff and made no attempt to speak to us at all. Upon arrival at York, he then tried to go up a street that clearly was marked with metal posts showing nothing wider that 6ft 6 which our bus is obviously wider. He then did a 3 point turn in this residential street and made his attempt to get out another narrow street. Residents had to move cars to let him out. We eventually got to the Wheatlands at 3.45 instead of 2.30! Fiona who was behind reception asked if we knew dinner and breakfast time, I said I knew them from last year but asked her to tell everyone as your driver said nothing to his customers! Next day Scarborough Tour. Your driver was to leave at 9.30. We left at 9.24. He NEVER counted anyone and we could all tell tons missing. Driving to Scarborough and he suddenly braked and pulled into hard shoulder. Shouting at us that he had to go back and there were people waiting on pick up. We arrived back and there were 11 people waiting. I could go on! Nobody knows the drivers name as he did not talk to customer's! He was just a driver and not a tour driver like John from previous years trip or even Holly from Go Travel. This hasn't put me off using Tartan Travel I am doing this review so that you as a company know that this is not good for future customers or for any others wanting to book again. He was an awful person! By the way Tim, Fiona, Maz and others at Wheatlands made this trip again. Food amazing and all staff lovely

Negative experience: The Wheatlands Hotel was first class, as always, however, the coach travel was an absolute nightmare of a journey. The original departure time of 09.00 on Friday 22nd September was moved to 09.45 from Hamilton Bus Station. This original change to the itinerary was well communicated. However, at 10.00 on the morning of departure there was no sign of the Tartan Travel coach. I promptly received a phone call from one of the Tartan Travel reps advising of a one hour delay. Fair enough. Things happen. The coach that turned up at 10.45 had signage for, 'Chester, Liverpool, & Lakes', no mention of York. Luckily another passenger decided to ask if this coach was for York to be told that it was. If this passenger hadn't asked then the Hamilton passengers would have missed the coach to York. The coach taking passengers to York, or at least picking the York passengers up, should be clearly signposted as such. This lack of signposting should not happen with a professional travel company. It then transpires that this coach could only take the York passengers so far. We were informed, at this point, that this coach would take us to Gretna and we would transfer to the York coach at Gretna. The driver then informed us that he was close to his allowed driving hours and we would have to stop at Abbington for 45 minutes. So, we departed Hamilton at 10.50, arrived at Abbington at 11.25 and had a 45 minute break. On departing Abbington at 12.10 we were then informed that there was another change of plan. The coach at Gretna would only take us as far as Tebay Services where we had to change onto yet another coach to take us to York. Talk about a mystery tour! We departed Abbington 12.10 and arrived at Gretna at 13.00. It took 25 minutes to transfer passengers and luggage from one coach to the next. The driver of the second coach did not communicate any information and we departed Gretna at 13.25. Due to traffic we arrived at Tebay at 14.40. Transferred onto the third coach and left Tebay at 14.50. This coach arrived at the Wheatlands Lodge Hotel 7 hours after its scheduled departure time by way of three different coaches. The journey was a shambles. I am well used to coach holidays having experience of Caledonian Travel, Glenton Travel, and Urquhart. This is my first time using Tartan Travel and I am wholly unimpressed by the experience. In fact, I feel I cannot trust Tartan Travel with the return leg of my journey, so have already booked my train ticket home for Monday 25th September. The added expense will be worth it. This way I can be certain my travel will be professional, comfortable, and timeous. It also turns out that the advertised excursions to Harrogate and Knaresborough are no longer taking place. I have no faith or trust in this company.

Fantastic experience: Myself and my 11 yr old son have just been on the Harry Potter Studio Tour London trip. It was absolutely fantastic. The tour itself was great value for money with all that was included. The bus was a comfortable and plenty of stops along the way for toilet breaks. Our driver Billy was great, he was always cheery and happy to answer any questions. The hotel was a lovely holiday inn , rooms were clean and comfortable and the food was good. Cadbury World was a lovely stop on the way down and The Harry Potter Studio Tour itself was absolutely fantastic

Fantastic experience: Margaret, Ann, &marie just back from Letterkenny from 14/08/23 for 5 days. Gordon was our driver. He was was brilliant nothing was a bother to him. Made sure everyone was happy and their needs attempted too. The crowd on the bus were all very friendly and a good laugh. The mount errigal hotel was amazing the best hotel I’ve been in with tartan travel. Staff very friendly food excellent and plenty full and leisure centre had something for everyone. Trips to Donegal and giant causeway well organised. Only point I would say a tour guid at causeway would have been better. I Learnt more about it from a passenger on the boat. The weather was good all week would highly recommend the tour. Thank you Gordon for your patter all week and hope you got a nice sleep on Friday night snoring free zone 10/10

Fantastic experience: We had a private tour with Stewart who collected us from our Hotel in Glasgow and were provided with water, Ina bru & chocolate bar. The tour was booked via email between myself in Melbourne, Australia and Stewart, who responded promptly to my original enquiry and subsequent follow-ups. Our 1st stop was the magnificent Kelpies and Stewart was informative with his explanation and walk around pointing out great locations for photo shots. Our 2nd stop was the Falkirk Wheel including boat trip which was thoroughly enjoyable regardless of the light rain and fog. Stewart returned us back to the holiday after a wonderful tour. We thoroughly recommend Tartan Tours for those travellers requiring a private tour of Scotland. The Macs

Fantastic experience: Just back from our first mystery tour with Tartan travel. Great journey, brilliant driver in Louise and great people on the bus. Firstly we had a lovely stop in St. Andrews, weather was kind and we had plenty of time to walk around and see the town. Then our mystery journey continued up the east coast, with Louise teasing us by driving along the beach road in Aberdeen before continuing up the coast to our destination of Peterhead. On our return we stopped in Dundee for some sightseeing time before heading back home. Only found out at the end that it was Louise's first mystery tour too. Will definitely book again and if it was Louise driving we would know we were in for a great tour. Thanks Jeff and Elaine

Fantastic experience: My family and I just came back from our first coach trip with Tartan Travel to Shetland. And I have to say we were not disappointed, our driver Gordan was friendly and interacted with us throughout our journey. Gordan was also able to navigate the narrow roads of shetland with ease even with the free roaming sheep. Our guide Jackie was extremely knowledgable of the different areas in Shetland and was engaging, she was also able to share some stories of some of the locals that made us laugh and made our experience a bit more personal. Both Jackie and Gordan were absolutely brilliant and went above and beyond to make our holiday one to remember. Thank you for this wonderful experience, we are definitely looking forward to our next Tartan Travel adventure.

Fantastic experience: Went to Birmingham with tartan travel to see Michael buble was a long journey but well worth it. Hotel was great. Gordon the driver is a credit to the company looked after us and kept us informed about what was happening.

Fantastic experience: Second time travelling with Tartan Travel. Went on mystery weekend tour which took us to Peterhead via St Andrews on a lovely, sunny day. Visits to Braemar and Pitlochry on journey home. Andy, our driver, is an absolute credit to the company. Literally goes the extra mile to keep everyone happy! Even got a wee Easter treat for all his passengers. Thoroughly recommend Tartan Travel for great value for money, excellent driver and great hotels and locations.

Fantastic experience: Family trip to York at the Wheatland's Lodge Hotel. The food at the hotel was top notch. Staff were brilliant, nothing too much trouble. Tv lounge is a great place to relax. Now the bus. The driver Andy was the star of the trip. He kept us informed of every stage , asking when we would like a leg stretch. He treated us to crisps, water , sweets and the odd joke. I don’t want to embarrass him by mentioning the great deeds he done with some of our fellow passengers. We all know. Lovely guy. Enjoy the new bus Andy.

Fantastic experience: Booked a mystery tour and was pleasantly surprised when we were told where we were going “ in search of northern lights in Peterhead. Unfortunately didn’t see northern lights but everything else was great. Driver Andy was fab driver, pleasant and very helpful. Hotel was lovely, this is the 3rd time we have been away with Tartan Travel and has been fantastic every time. Definitely book with them again.

Fantastic experience: Went on the Harry Potter and cadbury world trip, bus driver brown hair with glasses was the absolute best, so friendly. Would definitely do a bus tour again

Fantastic experience: Unfortunately Tartan travel had to cancel our planned holiday. We received a letter and phone calls apologizing and a full refund. We will try again next year ( hopefully for the same trip).

Fantastic experience: Fantastic from start to finish. Coach was immaculate every day, we done the north coast 500 so we were out sight seeing every day. Hotels were lovely as was the food. Our driver was brilliant, fullof knowledge and fun. Would highly recommend tartan travel for a coach holiday.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic visit to Peterhead in Search of Aroura Borealis. Trip was fun, hotel was great, staff could not have done much more, I didn't like the starters offered and they went away and found alternative. We even got to see the lights from back of hotel.

Fantastic experience: Unfortunately my wee coach trip had to be cancelled which I understand but they informed me in plenty time and I look forward to my next trip,because I had booked a concert I had to travel by train or should I say 3!! So missed the door to door and comfort of the coach... here's to my next adventure.

Negative experience: Don’t travel with this company in you have gluten alergies my wife and I travelled on the greatest train journey we’re booked into a hotel at Tyndrum,as I had already requested gluten free meals I thought I would remind the manager when we arrived said she didn’t know anything about it ,waitress served soup then removed it said it wasn’t glutenfree brought back same soup but with a bread role this time!! took both away then served pork meal with sauce saying it was gluten free ,I asked if everybody was having gluten free sauce as the meals had been passed along the table until the whole group had meals ,mine was removed saying it wasn’t gluten free when trip was over I complained and asked for the cost of my meal to be returned they offered me a reduction voucher for next booking I stated I didn’t pay for the trip with vouchers but £,s said they weren’t giving cash absolutely disgusted with this company

Negative experience: Just back from Stratford/ Oxford / Cotswolds hotel good very clean the problem it took 12 hrs to get there and same on return journey also the passengers on the coach where in two hotels ,one hour apart adding two hours on every day not ideal as most passengers are elderly not a trip I would recommend to anyone traveling from Dundee

Positive experience: Had a lovely trip in search of the Northern Lights this weekend only managed to faintly see the lights the Waterside Hotel was lovely as was the staff , this was my first trip with Tartan Travel and whilst good trip ,value for money etc the only let down was the driver .so many previous reviews praised the driver , this one worked for another company and I am afraid lacked people skills and keeping us informed of itinerary throughout the trip , I could add more but overall a good trip and would recommend

Negative experience: Just back from northen lights trip.set off from Glasgow 11.40 arrived Peterhead just before 6.dinner 6.15 trip to cullen 7.30 hour and half there same back .maybe I blinked because there was no lights to cloudy anyway but to spend all that time picking people up from Glasgow hamilton dunfermline Bathgate Kirkcaldy stop at Forfar then onward quicker to go to America or even Spain and back .if there 2 buses going one goes straight there other goes round the world .I'm sure latter would be quicker.avoid like plague wasn't even fun.legs swollen everything aches don't do it even if the grinch driving.our driver neil was good poor guy must have felt same as passengers.AVOID LIKE PLAGUE.spend on america or spain
